How many times has your family isolated

A lady on another thread said they have been isolating on and off since September, as childrens bubble at school kept having cases. I wonder is this normal? My family and I haven’t had to isolate at all yet, which I know could happen at any time. How many times have you had to self isolate since September and what area are you in?

Dd 17- 3 times. 2 because of school contacts, once because of me actually having cv19
Dh, twice - because of me, and because someone at work tested +
Me once- had Covid.
Ds x 2- once with me. No bubble closures at school (yet)

Bluewavescrashing · 28/11/2020 18:13

Zero

Stationfork · 28/11/2020 18:13

None yet luckily. We're in Leicester so apparently one of the highest places and been in lockdown since March!
I know of a few people who have been positive sort of third hand now but nobody who has been ill with it at all. Nobody connected to me closely either. Both me and husband work for massive local organisations employing thousands of staff

Topseyt · 28/11/2020 18:13

None yet, and I hope it stays that way obviously.

It probably helps that as my DD3 turned 18 in July, I no longer have any school age children. So less exposure I guess. I was made redundant back in July, having worked from home since March. DH and DD1 have been working from home.

I am in Essex.

Audreyseyebrows · 28/11/2020 18:14

Once. All working outside of home and one at school.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 28/11/2020 18:14

None

flatteredfool · 28/11/2020 18:15

I've lost count. Ds has had 3 tests, I've had 2, dds hsve had 2 each too. Ds has caught everything going except covid and passed it round then there's been burst bubbles at the dds' school. We are on our 5th cough since September or is it 4th? No idea I just know I'm sick of it.

Groovee · 28/11/2020 18:15

None, Edinburgh. Dh is a gas engineer, I work in nursery, Dd is a student teacher who works in a care home and ds works in Tesco. We're all in jobs meaning we mix with people.

In my school only 1 class isolated after their teacher tested positive but no one else caught it.

SueEllenMishke · 28/11/2020 18:16

DS has isolated once. We live in an area that's been classed as a hotspot area since august.

40weekswithno2 · 28/11/2020 18:17

Once in March as I had a cough.

Dinosaursdontgrowontrees · 28/11/2020 18:17

None. We are in London.

SueEllenMishke · 28/11/2020 18:18

And I work at a university and teach f2f at least twice a week and go shopping as we can't get online shopping slots at the moment

goingcovidcrazy · 28/11/2020 18:19

Three times due to bubbles bursting, 3 kids all in primary. No overlap so it has been really difficult. We are NE

EmeraldShamrock · 28/11/2020 18:20

Thankfully none 2 DC aged 11 & 5 in school. DP working full-time.

borageforager · 28/11/2020 18:20

Once, DC3 had a cough/temperature (it wasn’t Covid). South west.

DowntonCrabby · 28/11/2020 18:20

Just once, right back in March, DS had a bad bug, we’re assuming wasn’t Covid as the rest of us were fine but who knows. It was before any testing got going in the community.

The kids have been back to school since mid Aug, DH in the office now and again and I’ve worked throughout with vulnerable adults, I’m surprised we haven’t had to isolate much more to be honest.

bookworm14 · 28/11/2020 18:21

None so far. NW London.

CeeJay81 · 28/11/2020 18:22

None. In Wales, 2 kids in school and I work in a supermarket but no cases in the local school or my work place.

TeddyBeans · 28/11/2020 18:23

Up until Thursday it was none. Then someone in my work bubble tested positive and now I'm 2 days into 14 day isolation 🤷‍♀️

UsernameChat · 28/11/2020 18:23

None. London

tinytemper66 · 28/11/2020 18:26

Zero. I work in one of Wales's hotspots and we are having mass testing in work next week.

Coasterfan · 28/11/2020 18:26

We haven’t at all. DS is in primary DD in secondary, hardly any cases in their schools and none in their year groups. Still stuck in tier bloody 3 though!!

Ohdoleavemealone · 28/11/2020 18:28

2 kids in primary and no isolation yet.

yr 6 have isolated twice.

Paddingtonthebear · 28/11/2020 18:31

None. We don’t know anyone who’s had covid either.

IamHyouweegobshite · 28/11/2020 18:36

In March isolated 2 weeks. In sept 2 days whilst getting test results. 3dc have had odd days when they're were cases in their schools. Youngest dc school closed for 2 weeks. I work in a school and I tested positive last week. In Kent
