Positive cases (tests) 2. One teenage boy (14) and neighbour who sadly passed away

Ohfrigginghellers · 30/08/2020 21:31

Actually 3

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/08/2020 21:32
  1. 5 “mild” cases though they all experienced serious struggles breathing and felt like shit. One who was in intensive care for a couple of weeks but managed to stay off a ventilator. He’s been home 2 months and is still extremely ill and probably won’t be the same again.
year5teacher · 30/08/2020 21:32

Two.
Family member who is a doctor, and a colleague (who hasn’t been in work).
Both positive tests.

Whoopsmahoot · 30/08/2020 21:32

6, 3 were very ill with it but didn’t need hospital

Beebityboo · 30/08/2020 21:32

I know eight people who died Sad (Was a carer and had to leave just before lockdown) still a bit traumatised by it really. The protests about it all being a hoax make me want to scream.

SillyCow6 · 30/08/2020 21:33

2 and both were very fatigued for a long time after, in face one is still struggling

Pommes · 30/08/2020 21:33

Two distant colleagues were in ICU, a family friend was on a Covid ward for several weeks, a former neighbour (in his 80s) who died from the virus and eight others (some of whom share a household with those already mentioned).

Mostly London.

SillyCow6 · 30/08/2020 21:33

In fact

Sevo7 · 30/08/2020 21:33

Currently 2. Although I don’t actually see them anymore as they are ex’s parents. Went on a cruise a the start of lockdown and came back with sickness bugs but tested positive for Covid. Ex Mil ended up in hospital but only for a couple of days and ex Fil was fine at home.

ChittyChittyBoomBoom · 30/08/2020 21:33

ChessIsASport · 30/08/2020 21:33

I only know two people directly who have had confirmed cases but there were two parents died at my children’s small primary and two of my husband’s colleagues died.

Happyspud · 30/08/2020 21:34

A few confirmed (maybe 4?) And a load who were very symptomatic but never tested (maybe 10-15). I know of lots of others.

Ragwort · 30/08/2020 21:34

3 - one died, very elderly with underlying health conditions (nb; he was not hospitalised and did not pass it on to his very elderly and vulnerable wife), two other people in their 50s, one was fairly ill for 10 days (not tested though) and the other had it very mildly,

Biscuitsneeded · 30/08/2020 21:34

A few friends with varying degrees of severity from feeling a bit rough for a few days to being hospitalised (40something, not overweight, no underlying health issues but BAME and male). And a colleague who was having cancer treatment who caught Covid and very sadly died.

HipTightOnions · 30/08/2020 21:34

4, 1 of whom died.

toucancancan · 30/08/2020 21:34
  1. All in the first couple of weeks of lockdown
