Only one person in my immediate social circle has had it. I heard that someone I worked with 15 years ago sadly died from it (underlying health conditions). Someone in my parents village had it, started to recover, then had a massive heart attack. They've linked the two apparently. Awful.

GameSetMatch · 30/08/2020 21:46

4 people, one works on the Covid ward and brought it home to her husband and the other two I’m not sure where they caught it.

iwantmyownicecreamvan · 30/08/2020 21:46

Three (including me).
Two were my parents - they both died.

Jerble · 30/08/2020 21:46

Confirmed cases: 5 unfortunately. 3 were hospitalised and 2 of those sadly died. I know of quite a few more who think they had it early on, before testing was available.

Only one - unconfirmed, but they were extremely ill just as lockdown was starting and remained so for several weeks. Under 35, no underlying health conditions.

We live in an area that has had very low numbers, however; that may change over the winter.

joystir59 · 30/08/2020 21:49

4: 1 nurse, his son, and two paramedics (partners)

DontBeShelfish · 30/08/2020 21:49

@iwantmyownicecreamvan I am so sorry for your loss. Sad

I know of five people who have died and another three who have been infected but recovered. In my immediate circle none of us have had it.

WouldBeGood · 30/08/2020 21:50

Two confirmed. Both fine.

Too many. Including a parent who died alone. Having once been a scared child alone in a TB sanctuary. It was the cruelest of endings.

If this thread is a "coronavirus is a made up conspiracy" perhaps you could have the courtesy to ask MNHQ to remove it OP?

The forty thousand plus people who died all had people who lived them.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 30/08/2020 21:53

1- my elderly Great Aunt. She was ill before contacting it, so her death was not a great surprise.

No other confirmed cases.

Ffsnosexallowed · 30/08/2020 21:53

2 colleagues, who are both fine now. One colleague lost 2 relatives.

disorganisedsecretsquirrel · 30/08/2020 21:53

Rural.. southeast btw

Wolke · 30/08/2020 21:55

1 close relative died, 1 close relative at death's door, 2 relatives needed paramedic care, 1 friend has long Covid and is still suffering nearly 4 months later (in their 30s, no reason to think it would hit so hard and now wheelchair bound) at least 2 more friends who tested positive but with milder or no symptoms.
