Around 10 in March/April. None hospitalised, two felt very ill, others ranged from no symptoms but tested positive for antibodies to bad flu with loss of taste/smell. All now recovered. London

Nobody I know very well. SIL’s boyfriend’s mum was in hospital with it. One child at my son’s school had a positive test and the parents of a different child in his class have have positive antibody tests but were not symptomatic. Have quite a few friends who think they may have had it.

Bishybarnybee · 30/08/2020 21:37

3 family members in London.

4 colleagues. Two colleague's siblings hospitalised.

Fantasisa · 30/08/2020 21:37

One in his fifties = absolutely fine.

One in his late seventies with multiple other health issues. Caught it abroad. He spent a LONG time on a ventilator but is now out of hospital and living alone at home.

One in his sixties. He is morbidly obese and had a difficult few weeks, all at home no medical treatment required, and is now back to normal.

This thread really highlights the direct human impact this virus has had on so many. Thanks

GoldenOmber · 30/08/2020 21:41

3 confirmed with tests. One in hospital, one miserably ill for a few weeks but managed at home, one had about a day of feeling a bit tired with a raised temperature and that was it.

Know a lot more people who were ill with possible Covid in mid-late March, but that’s before there was much testing so who knows. Seems likely at least some of them had it though.

CeibaTree · 30/08/2020 21:42

I know 3 confirmed. One died (was elderly and very frail after a stroke), one has the long recurring version, and one is now absolutely fine. None of these 3 people were linked in any way.

ChristmasinJune · 30/08/2020 21:42

2 ill enough to call the paramedics but avoided a hospital stay.
4 more who felt like shit for a couple of weeks but not bad enough to go to hospital.
Too many to count (including myself Grin) who swear they've had it mildly but.......

None of these have been confirmed by testing though. So how many people do I know who have actually tested positive?
Zero.

rslsys · 30/08/2020 21:42

1 BIL’s mother, in her 90s - fully recovered.

TazMac · 30/08/2020 21:42

None.

A few people suspect they had it in Feb / Mar, before testing was available. Lots of bugs around at that time of year though, so could have been anything.

AlecTrevelyan006 · 30/08/2020 21:43

1 confirmed - mid 40s bloke only mildly ill and recovered fairly quickly

EspressoPatronum · 30/08/2020 21:43

6 including dh who had a mild case but is still suffering from fatigue now (caught it late March).

LadyCatStark · 30/08/2020 21:43

0 confirmed and plenty who ‘think they had it in January’.

heidihigh · 30/08/2020 21:44
  1. 2 different households. Fortunately none of them "serious" but took one of them a good 6 weeks to feel even slightly better.
