0 and I work in a warehouse with hundreds of people

3 . Two nurses, one nurse’s husband . All three overweight, one morbidly obese - one diabetic . No complications at all .

No relatives as yet, and as far as I know only two people have died in the local area of confirmed/suspected Covid19 . It’s never really got a hold on local area at all .

I think I had it in March (cough / loss smell / covid toe) but wasn't as ill when I had pneumonia during last winter. A number of relatives and friends had it, three of whom died from or 'with' it.

megletthesecond · 30/08/2020 22:16
A sixth former son of a friend diagnosed this week. In our town 😬.

There are no elderly people in my family and I don't know that many people. A few FB friends were I'll in March so I assume they had it.

WhySoMuchMess · 30/08/2020 22:17

2 colleagues had it back in April; one very ill but not hospitalised and one didn't even know they had it until has antibody test. A
Friends relative had it and sadly he died, he had underlying health conditions

cantkeepawayforever · 30/08/2020 22:18

3 directly. At least 11 through my class at school - significant numbers early in the pandemic.

MsAwesomeDragon · 30/08/2020 22:18

I know loads. 3 colleagues had it just before lockdown (no tests but all the main symptoms). Several pupils also had it, at least one of them was hospitalised with it.

2 of my dad's friends have died from it, and another 2 have been in hospital with it but are now recovering at home.

cautiouscovidity · 30/08/2020 22:19

I personally know no-one. The only person I know of who's had it, is a friend's of a friend's DDad, who died of it in a care home in May.
The rate of infection in our area is very low; we've been very lucky.

ComeAlive · 30/08/2020 22:19

2, 1 of whom died

Gottheteeshirtandlostit · 30/08/2020 22:20

3, I of whom is still unable to work 12 weeks later - she is fit, in her fifties, not obese, no underlying issues - but completely flattened by it.

  1. And no one I know knows anyone who's had it either
MoiraRosesTransAtlanticDrawl · 30/08/2020 22:21

A workmates daughter. Nobody else.

Xmasbaby11 · 30/08/2020 22:22

10 so far in England. One family but the others connected around the country. Also 2 American friends.

None were hospitalised although they were ill for a few weeks.
I'm surprised people's numbers are so low!

AlbaAlba · 30/08/2020 22:24

13 or so, but I know a lot of people, spread across Europe.

Early on: My friend's mum died. My colleague died. A guy I work with is in intensive care. About 4 other confirmed cases, suspect - me, DH, and 2xDC, and a handful of others early on, all mild except me. Am in an area that has barely been affected so far, but cases have rocketed in the last few days so may see more soon. A couple of cases of long Covid.

Shieldingending · 30/08/2020 22:24

7, 2 were hospitalised but are recovering. One still struggling with significant after effects

schnubbins · 30/08/2020 22:24

I know 8 people who had it here in Germany. My brother and his wife and two kids who became ill after skiing in Austria in March. My sons friend aged 21 .He was very ill for 2 months. A friend of mine( 45)that works in a supermarket had a mild dose as did her daughter (9)
My husbands colleague aged 45 .ICU patient for weeks .Now ok but still weak. The father aged 75 of a friend who although healthy previously, did not survive.

MondeoFan · 30/08/2020 22:25
Violetparis · 30/08/2020 22:27

3, one friend who has suffered with it since March and two friends in Spain one of which ended up in hospital but is ok now.

Iloveyazz · 30/08/2020 22:27

7 - including myself and immediate family. Myself and immediate family (4 of us) all had it at the beginning of lockdown), I've just got over post covid pleurisy and am still short of breath and fatigued, and am on increasingly strong inhalers, my dh is seeing gp on Tues about a productive cough, my daughter is still having runs of high heart rates, and 2 of my friends are all still fatigued. All of us have either had positive swabs or antibody tests.

Oohmegooliebird · 30/08/2020 22:28

Over 25. Am a HCP. Immediate colleague ended in up in ITU. Distant colleague died. Three friends have lost a parent to COVID

Yumyumicedbuns · 30/08/2020 22:28

Two. One friend died and the other still suffering symptoms months later.

cherryblossommorningstoday · 30/08/2020 22:28
  1. Both work colleagues
FedUpAtHomeTroels · 30/08/2020 22:29

Close to 30 including myself. But I'm a nurse and so the people I know are also nurses and our residents.
