Thread number who knows , because I've lost count. We're adapting to normal 1.0 and lost our status as murderers. The grass is not off limits anymore and we can eat a bag of crisps outside with being accused of "premeditated picnics". Not a pan or pot in sight.

Oh well, there's still the second wave.Grin

I've really hit a wall today. It's dark and grey outside, I feel tired and rubbish (this could be a side effect of the whooping cough vaccine) and I live in Wales which will apparently be locked down until somewhere around Doomsday. I don't want to do anything but I don't want to do nothing. I have no energy but I don't want to sleep. Intermittently I try to stop myself imagining that the baby has died inside me. (Not having had a face to face 16 week appointment doesn't help here.)

First world problems, I know. I'll probably be fine by the middle of next week.

To be clear, there is no rational reason to think anything has happened to the baby.

I think it is normal to hit a bit of a wall from time to time. Pregnancy is such a strange experience even at the best of times.

Be kind to yourself. You don't have to be on the front foot all the time. You are allowed to rest.

Ah Piccadilly that's naff love, I'm gonna offer you a hug even though apparently it's frowned at on MN. I'm not fussed about the stalwarts opinions so have a HUGGGG!!!

Also strawberry vodka sounds like something I need in my life.

Thanks! I've gone out for a (slightly wet) walk with DH and we had chips and I am feeling better.

That's good!
My chippy's closed, I've been grilling potato waffles instead...takes me right back to my 80's childhood.

Hi all you lovely lickers.

I'm on annual leave soon and booked a few nights away at different places not miles away from home. Furthest being lake district. Staying in yurt a pub and 2 hotels. Can't wait for some real ale on draught 🍺😋

Glad you perked up a bit Piccadilly, chips have that effect on me too 😊

Incognito that's a bit spiffing! Maybe I'll be able to book a long weekend at some point over the summer if house hunting goes ok.

Well. I just had another long email from exh who has invited me to his engagement bbq!! Err!! He loves me and he wants me there. Oh do fuck off, dear, this is your 3rd engagement in as many years. I didn't come to them and I'm not coming to this one. I responded with 'No.' because I learned on MN years ago that no is a full sentence, and I use it often 😁

Been up since 6:30. Bastard cat jumped in through the window with a bird then let it go in the bedroom. We got it back outside. Dumbass is still looking for it and meowing pitifully.Hmm

Wet and wild out there today but I really need to go stock up on dog food. My litter all went to new homes yesterday but I decided last minute to keep one. I'm clearly insane. Blame lockdown 😂

So fluffy and gorgeous. A little teddy bear. Are you going to have more pups?

Report
DarkHelmet · 29/06/2020 00:00

I've already got people interested in future puppies so I'll commit to one more litter each, and then take it from there. I loved the experience, it's been very positive and my girls made great mums 🙂

Oh, lovely dog DarkHelmet.

That and the news about bubbles in Wales being allowed next week has almost made up for the fact that the NHS is now so protected here (in an area with very low levels of Covid) that I can't talk to the person I need to talk to, even over the phone. (Here's some shocking news for the NHS - this baby will need to come out whether or not you've made your assessments by that point. If you haven't, well, this is going to be a fun experience for us all, isn't it? Fortunately there's still some time for sanity to be restored before baby gets here.)

I'm going from grumpy to tearful and back again today. Send chocolate - for DH, bless him, who is doing his best to help but can't really do anything either!

Report
DarkHelmet · 29/06/2020 14:26

Piccadilly that's crap! Why can't you speak to someone over the phone? I get that Wales is being far more careful but not even being able to speak to someone is ridiculous! That must really frustrating for you and can't help your hormones much!

I was a hormonal mess for at least the first 6 months of my pregnancy with DD2. Your think by baby number 3 my body would understand what was going on, but no! How people tolerated me is still a wonder to me. Sending chocolate for your DH, bless him.

Well, I'm planning to ring the midwife later in the week (when hopefully I'll feel calmer about it!) as I can't see why they can't ring me! The back story is that I was referred by the consultant to another team for a weird thing I have wrong with me which could affect the birth.

Midwife left a message for me today to say that the team have the referral but aren't seeing anyone because of Covid! We all know what it is that's wrong with me, there's no need for tests or anything, so why on earth they can't just give me a ring to discuss I don't know.
