@SirBale I think the worry with ibuprofen was the fact that they can be quite strong and work better with inflammation so could mask the coronavirus symptoms that could ultimately lead to some real issues but as we are so far in the damage has been done in the first few weeks and well after 6 weeks should be safe to use them. But its always better to check with your GP first.

@Kitcat122 yes for sure they work much better paracetamol don't seem to work at all I found that once I started taking ibuprofen my symptoms were far reduced l

RickyBooth · 28/05/2020 20:18

@Annie20061 How are you felling today?? and that goes out to all also

Annie20061 · 28/05/2020 20:57

@SirBale yes definitely don’t push yourself physically i found it set me back the next day. I seem to be ok taking a short walk most days now but it has been quite gradual.

@RickyBooth not had a good day today. Aches, really tired, rib pain & sob quite alot today. Throat has felt better. No short walk today just been resting in the garden. How have you been today?

OP posts:
RickyBooth · 29/05/2020 13:14

@Annie20061 sorry for late reply im just up and down feeling very tired. Its just more annoying now little niggles that flair up at different times of day.

Annie20061 · 29/05/2020 22:58

@RickyBooth still sob if i do too much i feel its got worse the last 2 days. Fed up with with it now. Ribs feel less sore so thats progress Smile

OP posts:
Theforest · 31/05/2020 14:31

@Kitcat122 Thats interesting. I havent had any issues with it before, so I might try some.

How is everyone today? I have the burning chest feeling today and some dizziness if I move quickly, as well as some muscle spasms. Will probably try to go out for a walk later, but dont want to overdo it and regress.

Annie20061 · 31/05/2020 21:02

@Theforest still getting over the last few symptoms that seem to be hanging on. The burning chest feeling is horrible, thats seems to have gone for me most of the time now. I have overdone it quite a few times and paid for it the next day, so don’t overdo it. Hope you’re feeling much better soon.

Annie20061 · 04/06/2020 20:37

@RickyBooth how you feeling now? I hope you are feeling better. I am the same. I have been for a chest xray today referred by my GP yesterday. Still having the rib pain, taking ibruprofen and short periods of sob & sometimes heartburn. Still doing short daily walks. Noticed that my heart rate is now fine resting but has been going quite high when exercising.

RickyBooth · 04/06/2020 20:43

Annie20061 · 04/06/2020 21:21

@RickyBooth that is good news. I feel as if I’m getting there, then tonight sob again. It has been a long haul. Still not quite recovered for me. Take care Smile

Hi everyone
I haven’t posted in a long time as I’ve been better for about two weeks now.

I just wanted to tell you all I had an antibody test as I work at the hospital, and it was negative!! So all along, just like @AvocadoPrime I didn’t have covid. I’m surprised and a bit disappointed tbf!

Hope everyone else is getting on ok? X

Annie20061 · 05/06/2020 19:36

Hi @Cusano34 I’m really happy that you have been feeling better. It’s so weird that you had the symptoms but it wasn’t covid, but good news for you.

I still have some lingering symptoms but they are minor to what i was like before. A little bit of breathlessness, sore ribs & itchy/lump in the throat. I can get out for short walks now that really cheers me up Smile

Cusano34 · 05/06/2020 20:17

@annie20061 I’m glad you’re getting better and getting out! That’s really good to hear!

I think my results shows that there are still a lot of other bugs and viruses going around. Definitely right to assume COVID right now but we shouldn’t lose sight of everything else :) x

RickyBooth · 07/06/2020 17:05

@Annie20061 and all. Just a quick update from me symptoms almost gone now just a slight niggle. And Fantastic to hear your so much better now and getting out for walks it really cheers you up :)

Annie20061 · 08/06/2020 07:34

@RickyBooth great news - i am really pleased for you. I overdid it yesterday and I’ve had a temperature overnight, not had that for over 3 weeks, worse rib pain & aches all over. Staying in today going to rest in bed or on the sofa. Minor set back i think Sad

RickyBooth · 08/06/2020 10:33

@Annie20061 Yep seems to just not go the linger it has is unreal. And yep I am sure its just a setback and you will get stronger and stronger as each day goes by

Theforest · 11/06/2020 18:09

Hi guys. Glad to hear that you are feeling almost there now @RickyBooth @Cusano34

How is everyone else @Annie20061 @Kitcat122

I seem to be getting there. Symptoms are decreasing. Dizziness has gone, twitches are decreasing quite a lot, but still have a still burning feeling some days, not others. I wonder when we will get to the point to ever allow ourselves to think it has gone completely.

I would like an anti-body test, but going to wait to see if get offered one as no real need to pay out for it.

RickyBooth · 11/06/2020 18:32

@Theforest strange that today iv had some symptoms back lump in throat and burn on chest was more in the morning but feel ok now and me to I love an anti-body test but same im not paying.

Annie20061 · 11/06/2020 18:59

@Theforest @RickyBooth I have had a chest xray (all clear), blood test (fine) & been checked over by GP. Still having sob episodes, lump in throat & rib pain. I have been given naproxen for the inflammation to see if that helps. I hope so it will be week 10 next week so hope i get rid of it soon.
New symptom for me is heart rate spiking to 160-174 just walking slowly... i have a fitbit so keeping an eye on it and i stand and rest when it occurs.

@Theforest I’m glad your symptoms are decreasing and it will go it’s just a matter of waiting it out. One day we will be back to normal.

Sorry to hear @RickyBooth that you had a couple if symptoms today but glad you feel ok now Smile

Annie20061 · 13/06/2020 06:46

I hope everybody is ok. I’m having some sort of major relapse which is scaring me. After my heart rate spiking up a few times. I now have a resting heart rate, led in bed of 80 and it feels as if its racing in my chest. Sore throat is back this morning after weeks but the sob has gone. I don’t have a temperature but i feel flushed. I hope you are all ok. This started yesterday as i went to bed. took some new tablets the GP gave me yesterday will stop them just in case they caused this. No GP today. I think its a day in bed today - no exertion.

OP posts:
Annie20061 · 13/06/2020 06:47

Its the heartbeat thats scaring me my normal resting rate is 62.

Theforest · 13/06/2020 18:07

@Annie20061 How are you feeling now?

Pinklynx · 13/06/2020 18:17

Annie20061 just catching up. Hope you're feeling a bit better. It does take a while I think to get over the general physical affects. The heart rate rise does sound scary. Have you done any breathing exercises to bring it down? Good news about the blood test and clear chest X-ray.

Apart from tiredness my only symptom is the lung pain. Although much better it still feels tight. I am afraid it is permanent now, maybe scarring. I've had Covid symptoms for three months now. I didn't have the antigen test but was sure I had it and then was positive recently with antibody test. I also had the bad flu that was going around in January, so I've pretty much been knocked out since then. Thank goodness I'm self employed!

Annie20061 · 14/06/2020 08:17

@Theforest yesterday was not a good day at all. I am pleased that my night was good and on waking this morning i am feeling better than yesterday, no thumping heart. Heart rate was increased for most of the day, on & off, and when i did something went up as if i was doing fitness. I hope today is a much better day. How are you feeling?

OP posts:
Theforest · 14/06/2020 22:19

@Annie20061 how did today go. Hopefully better.

@Pinklynx I sincerely hope things improve and no permanent damage. Mine was too severe in the first place compared to some I don't think. I guess no one knows yet. Horrible.

Me, I feel burny chest again over last couple of days. And a bit twitchy. I don't tend to mention it anymore as DH thinks its psychosomatic now. I haven't told anyone else
