@cusano34 Hi! I've been really struggling with anxiety. I've just started CBT because I am really struggling. I have no one in RL I can talk to and it's taking over my life!
I have decided whatever this is. I am self diagnosing as post-nasal drip. Might stop my obsessive stat checking ect. I spoke to the doctor earlier who literally made me cry and said there is nothing wrong with me :(

The antibody test was fine. Pretty easy, if you arent clumsy. I knocked the vial over so had to refill it. Finger is a little bruised now but I've sent the blood off. Hopefully I will have results by the end of the week! X

Cusano34 · 19/05/2020 21:03

@avocadoprime I know how you feel ☹️ You can always talk on here, I’ll always reply. I can’t seem to think about anything else at the moment 😔 are you doing CBT online or over the phone? Oh bless you! I can relate there too. No one believes how I’ve been feeling over the past two months. My cough/breathlessness/headaches/bowl problems have ALL been anxiety and nothing else 🤦‍♀️ Really doesn’t help.

Fingers crossed for you about the antibody test!

AvocadoPrime · 19/05/2020 21:11

Thank you! @cusano34 same applies! If you're feeling down you can always PM me. Could be eachothers sounding boards lol. I am doing CBT on the phone. I've only had one session so far but its food for thought and does help to talk it through. Completely agree.. I think everyone is sick of me now. It makes me wonder what is real and what I've conjured up in my brain.
Thank you I will update when I get my results! X

RickyBooth · 19/05/2020 23:52

@Annie20061 Thanks for confirming that its so strange I did not notice it but Angel took a picture I was like what the hell its still there now im feeling well a little crap tonight throat lump is back and chest and other niggles. Its driving me bloody nuts now.

@AvocadoPrime Please keep posting no one is sick and anxiety can play a huge part as iv posted in other threads I will always reply.

@Cusano34 Same applies if you need to talk post away il reply always.

SheilaTakeABow · 20/05/2020 09:02

Hi everyone. I was on the last thread, had a dreadful fortnight and then since last weekend had been feeling totally, utterly normal.

But since yesterday I've been feeling the lung pain, backpain, SOB again. I am so cross. I just hope it's the tail end, I really can't go through that all again Sad. Still no temp, cough or loss of smell/taste.

I really don't know what to do about leaving the house. I'd been meeting my DM for a socially distanced walk, which had really boosted her mood, but I don't know if I'm still contagious at this stage. I suppose better safe than sorry.

It'll be too late for a test, won't it?

ACautionaryTale · 20/05/2020 09:23

So, not much has changed. Temp is stabilising in the mid 37's which is hot for me - I'm normally high 35's/low 36s

Cough is still there - no worse no better.

Still no lung pain or breathing issues or sore throat. However if I cough and/or try to talk just after it - i get a little wheezy. Sometimes talking kicks off the cough. I wouldnt say this is a change just something I've noticed because I'm paying attention.

At the moment, I'm just trying to work out when I'm out of the danger zone for this to go downhill. I'm figuring because my symptoms are relatively mild, even at this stage, it is not likely to end up with me in hospital.

The cough started on the 11th and loss of taste 14th - I figure by the end of this week I should be clear of the woirst of the risk.

Not that I think there is much risk to be honest. I'm 44 and otherwise healthy except I have a BMI of 52. No diabetes (DH is diabetic and I sometiimes do finger prick checks just to check) - not sure about blood pressure as I'm never ill and never have to go to the doctors.

My chances of ending up dead or really severe from this are small given I'm female and 44. Once I get out of the "danger window" I can live with the symptoms without worrying.

RickyBooth · 20/05/2020 15:44

@ACautionaryTale Lets hope and fingers crossed its mild for you mine has lasted over a month 5/6 weeks from start to finish and was a slow build up most prominent was throat then working down to chest and just sticking there with wats now niggle symptoms. One day can be good the next bad but the gurgle I had has now fully gone. And the anxiety of it all is passing or im just fed up with worrying about it now as its dragged on

RickyBooth · 20/05/2020 15:46

@SheilaTakeABow Yes it seems to do this give a false sense lets just hope its a minor setback and you are felling better today

Annie20061 · 20/05/2020 16:03

@SheilaTakeABow i am sad to hear you were feeling awful for a while, i did wonder why you hadn’t posted lately, i assumed you had got better. I hope its just a minor setback. I am hoping this as well, have been feeling good for the last week. Feeling the throat constriction & rib pain yesterday & sob had now added to it. You seem to go up & down with this virus so much.

It is too late for test to see if you have coronavirus now (mine was done late so my GP said & was negative) but when it’s gone i am going to take the antibody test to see if it shows up.

Annie20061 · 20/05/2020 18:10

@SheilaTakeABow just re-read your message My GP said after 5 weeks - this is now week 6 if i feel up to it i can go for a short walk. I have gone out but only for short walks & with my partner - not met with anyone else outside of my home at the moment. As you say better safe than sorry

OP posts:
SheilaTakeABow · 20/05/2020 20:34

@RickyBooth, it's just an absolute bloody nightmare! I was right as rain for just over a week, really thought I'd cleared it!
@Annie20061, yes, I disappeared once I felt better as I felt like a bit of a fraud as it didn't seem to last long. And now here I am again Grin.
@AvocadoPrime, it really messes with your head, doesn't it? I keep trying to separate how I feel physically from the knowledge that a potentially deadly virus is doing the rounds, and I just can't, so, in my case definitely, that knowledge makes my physical symptoms feel worse, IYSWIM.

RickyBooth · 20/05/2020 22:54

@Annie20061 Yep very up and down also throat has the bloody lump tonight also chest burn still got the rash and me same apart from family I live with iv seen no one. How are you felling tonight??

@SheilaTakeABow I know exactly what your saying its a battle that's for sure think its going then next day. It almost feels like its messing with ya.

Annie20061 · 21/05/2020 09:23

@RickyBooth i had the throat lump thing last night - constantly trying to clear it. The rib pain & bac pain has been very sore overnight and kept me up. Irritated throat. A bit of sob last night but ok now. My GP wanted to send me for a chest xray which i said no to last week & tried the antibiotics which seemed to work (until I’ve stopped them).

I’m quite scared to go into hospital has anybody else been recently?

OP posts:
AvocadoPrime · 21/05/2020 11:20

Well update.. apparently I never had COVID. Negative results from the antibody test.
Had a different GP call me today to check in. Thinks I've got post viral fatigue. I've now been referred to ENT and for a 24hr ECG. At least I feel they are finally listening. So I suppose I should leave the thread now. So frustrating not knowing what's caused this illness.

AvocadoPrime · 21/05/2020 11:23

All the people that do c25k, were you relatively fit before starting? I may have to get myself some running shoes. And a disguise so I'm not mocked forever more Grin

AvocadoPrime · 21/05/2020 11:24

Wrong thread :)

Annie20061 · 21/05/2020 17:58

No chest xray offered just naproxen to take inflammation down GP thinks i have an inflamed chest wall. breathlessness tonight its getting worse since i have come off the antibiotics this virus is awful - i really thought i was recovering.

OP posts:
RickyBooth · 22/05/2020 00:08

@Annie20061 Yep this virus is that. And seems now we are so far in that we just have to get on with it. My throat is constricted its well bloody annoying and the rash is still there

Annie20061 · 22/05/2020 08:35

@RickyBooth i have read on the lungs part 49 plus plus chat that a few of them have had rashes, maybe worth a chat on there. I managed to sleep last night woke up a few times. Feel like I’m breathing through flour this morning & my throat feels constricted. I’m going to rest & hopefully feel better tmrw. Hope you feel better today.

OP posts:
AvocadoPrime · 22/05/2020 09:05

My anti body test was £49.. same as the superdrug one from treated.com

RickyBooth · 22/05/2020 10:06

@Annie20061 Thanks il go check out that thread. Great to hear that you got a bit of sleep hopefully you feel better as the day goes on.

Theforest · 22/05/2020 13:57

@AvocadoPrime Interesting to hear that the test says you didnt have it. It doesnt make me wonder about accuracy though. I mean its so similar symptoms.....

Its such an odd feeling being in limbo though isnt it. I mean where to from here..

Me - I am not too bad. Feeling better but still getting a funny burny feeling in back or weird feeling throat. Nothing more than that though.

Annie20061 · 22/05/2020 20:14

@Theforest glad you’re feeling a bit better. Hope you make a full recovery soon 👍

@avocadoprime thank you i knew someone had shared a link for a cheaper one but I couldn’t find it Smile
