Thread number...4?!? Fucking hell I've never been so popular.

Keep on keeping on and ,moan, whinge and laugh while you enjoy your deliveries and cackle evilly while you kill thousands.

All under the benevolent eye of your awesome , yellow and very ripe leader.

May the bleach be with you.

"I didn't think it was okay to hide indoors for a virus."

Lilac Dh says this too, he calls it the Great Hideaway

Maxandezra · 28/04/2020 20:36

evening you murderous rabble

today turned out fairly decent in the end. Managed to shoer dodge and dragged 3 youngest dc and dh and gogs out for a walk through the woods. We even stopped to have a drink and eat some biscuits Shock no crisps though, because we seem to have run out!
I also managed to combine that with a 3 mile ru ont the way back and feel much better for it.

busy full days at work for the next 3 , so really hoping I sleep tonight

I also dont like the bubble idea. In fact I think I actually want to reduce my bubble. There are 8 in my bubble at the minute, and quite honestly I reckon about 5 would be better LOL Grin

and as for masks, they are horrible. I have to wear one at work and it is grim. Hot and sweaty. And you really, really cant properly read people's facial expressions.

Anyway, keep up the killing

@soupforbrains how will that even work? Do you even know what you'll be doing? Is it an entirely new/different job?

You know I’ve seen people comment on threads today that they haven’t left their house in 7 weeks? Not only that, neither have their kids? And these people are not classed as high risk

MN really is a mind boggle at times. I can’t believe we breathe the same air as these people

Patte · 28/04/2020 21:18

"I can’t believe we breathe the same air as these people"

They're doing their best to make sure it's completely different air, to be fair.

loobyloo1234 · 28/04/2020 21:22

Thought that as I wrote it 😂 I think it’s still the same oxygen ... somewhere. If they even dare to open windows of course

soupforbrains · 28/04/2020 21:24

@PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock I honestly have no idea. Apparently they have specifically asked for me because I can fix their problems. But I have no idea how this is the case.

Essentially on a global scale my company makes cables. The bit I work in, doesn’t though, we install the cables for the national grid and other energy companies and also do the fault works, repairs and maintenance. So I generally work in a construction environment.

The bit I’m being seconded to, has factories which make cable accessories (essentially the fixtures and fittings for cables to be used, jointed, installed etc.) I don’t even really know what they make because they don’t even make the accessories for the kinds of cables I usually work with. I am expecting a phone call tomorrow from my temporary boss (don’t actually know his name yet) in which he will set up a zoom meeting to explain what they want my help with... I’ve never worked in a factory in my life. 🤷‍♀️

Yeah the anger and resentment because "my kids haven't been out in x weeks and inly twice a week in the garden"!

Well take them out you moron! No wonder you're all going crazy! Even if it's late at night in full hazmat suit, anything is better than nothing. They make (bonkers) choice that cause them and their kids hardship and then get all pissy others are living at least half a normal life.

There's someone on the school group who knew way way too much about Corona, crying at school etc. Now she's bitching her kid is a nervous wreck and the school aren't doing enough to support them and help the child's anxiety .

  1. Not a lot the school can do now

2.that kid should have never been told things like we can't see nanny because if you hug her she might die and other corona horror stories. They are 7/8 ffs!

@soupforbrains I hope things go well tomorrow. Sounds like a bonkers move with the potential of many things going tits up, with you in the middle of it all.

Fingers, toes and tits crossed for you.

loobyloo1234 · 28/04/2020 21:46

Yes Lilac - people pick our parts of the advice being given and change it round to suit

Imagine what MN will be like in a few months time. A competition on who’s been at home the longest. Maybe we can start preparing some medals

Well take them out you moron!
Oh lord that hit my funny bone hard for some reason.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I got a lovely pm just now from a poster just having a moan about having had to put thier holiday to Florida back to Oct and maybe not even being able to go then but all they seem to see on tv are adverts for universal and Disney. Just a lighthearted observation. Cue someone wading in about diamond shoes hurting them and bragging about holidays when other people cant afford them ever type pist. Just nasty so i told them where to go. Poster was upset by them and other smart alecs on the thread. Just why? I am on nmw but when i sold my parents house (took years!!) I took my kids to florida for their first holiday abroad ever and they were 10 and 13!! Wont ever be able to go back but it was worth every penny. I wouldnt begrudge anyone a fab holiday if they have the money to do so. Why are people so determined to make everyone the sane as miserable as they are? People on mn either seem to think if it doesn't happen to me it never happens to anyone/shouldn't be allowed for anyone. Too many nasty feckers on here at the moment.

Willow2017 · 28/04/2020 22:22

Soup i hope they are more prepared than it sounds like. Maybe they will surprise you fingers crossed.

CrowCat · 28/04/2020 22:48

Exh has just announced his new relationship. So much for social distancing. I'm no stickler for 'the rules' but there's a big difference between I bought wine and spoke to a random stranger from across the street, and starting an actual shagging and going to each other's houses relationship - which from what my ex-mil just told me that's what they're already doing after a 2 week whirlwind romance.

Clearly he'd rather get his end away than start seeing DD2 again any time soon. Sounds about right.

Hex hex hex

Willow2017 · 28/04/2020 22:51

Have a hex or 2 from me too Crowcat what a tosser.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 28/04/2020 23:00

@LalalalalaLlama thanks, the issue is I've been very productive at the beginning, dumbass me never thinking it would last this long.

So I've done ASD(4 courses) ADHD(4), dyslexia(2), attachment disorder, general behaviour management, understanding mental health etc. I think I did about 30 courses in 2 weeks.

Now I can't find enough to keep up that pace and also tbh,I'm not coping either to do as much , God knows why since it's not exactly taxing work.

CrowCat · 28/04/2020 23:15

Thanks Willow I don't know why I'm surprised tbh, but I'm hexing him the clap, and not the Thursday 8pm type either. I hope his dick falls off. He's not the nicest person at the best of times but this is shite even by his standards.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 28/04/2020 23:21

Ohhh haven't seen that one

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 28/04/2020 23:22

@CrowCat what a twat , especially since he's not seeing DD either.

One EE curse going his way. We're a vicious bunch!
