I have decided not to have the vaccine for coronavirus when it is rolled out. I don’t trust the government and will not be used as a pilot. It seems this will be a rushed vaccine (tested-yes) but we will not know the long term side effects until years down the line. I will politely decline the vaccine until I feel fully informed. Anyone else declining it?

I won't be having the vaccine. The flu vaccine has been around for over a decade but has not eradicated the flu.

Scienceisgreat76 · 17/04/2020 23:32

Porcupineinwaiting. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Please read some actual science

GreytExpectations · 17/04/2020 23:34

GreytExpectation neither are u

And you have just proven my point 😂

Freddiefox · 17/04/2020 23:35

@ redbushtea so what will you do?

SavoyCabbage · 17/04/2020 23:35

It’s a valid choice, although a little premature as there isnt a vaccine at all let alone one that’s been rushed.

You must have substantial means to be able to afford to self isolate for a substantial amount of time.

Scienceisgreat76 · 17/04/2020 23:36

Freddie don’t worry about Redbushtea. Concentrate on what you are going to do

I’m a tax payer too. No furlough payments or benefits here.

Oh ffs, you really haven't done much research at all. Furlough isn't a benefit it's a reduction in someone's salary.

The flu vaccine has been around for over a decade but has not eradicated the flu.

That's not the intention of flu vaccine, new strains are always coming up each year. Seriously some of the shite that people are spouting at the moment is ridiculous. Read some actual science.

Scienceisgreat76 · 17/04/2020 23:39

GreytExpectations. oh your still on here reading the thread lol

OP posts:
Parker231 · 17/04/2020 23:40

I’ll definitely have it. The sooner it is rolled out the better. I want my life back and to end the lockdown. I’d also like my DH back from working on a COVID Ward.

For those that don’t, are you prepared to remain with a lockdown?

Nofunkingworriesmate · 17/04/2020 23:40

I’m interested in what research you are planning to do as you won’t have access to the paperwork from this vaccine testing do how are you going to investigate/ research and come to a conclusion about its safety? Why do you think other vaccines are ok but not this one? How do you come to that conclusion

GreytExpectations · 17/04/2020 23:41

Any reason why my opinion on your thread is less valid then the others who also aid you are being ridiculous @Scienceisgreat76 also what are you, 13? You certainly type like it.

penisbeakers · 17/04/2020 23:41

LMAO

What a username for such a troll post. 😹

GreytExpectations · 17/04/2020 23:43

Go back under you bridge, @Scienceisgreat76

It effects my life though and the life of my children. If people are refusing to have vaccinations then don’t be coming near me and my family and expecting me to take one for the team. You will want other people to get the vaccine to protect you. So yes I want to know what your plan is, because the plan so far is to use me as your shield so fuck that.

Tattiebee · 17/04/2020 23:46

Up to you OP, there are people who cannot have it who rely on others to get it to protect them. I will be having it for them as well as myself.

Wolfgirrl · 17/04/2020 23:46

OP you've started a thread to tell people you are going to refuse a vaccine due to an unfounded hunch, which will not only protect you but others around you. You're planning on 'sitting back' (with popcorn and a soft drink?) to see how this affects vulnerable people first, and if you don't like the look of it, rely on everyone else taking the hit for you so you can benefit from here immunity.

You don't sound like a rebel or maverick, you sound cowardly and selfish.

GreytExpectations · 17/04/2020 23:47

*eye rolls funny when people are annoyed at your Views on your own thread but continue to read it lol

You asked for opinions and opened up for discussion. Why bother if you are going to ignore anyone disagreeing with you? Hint: most posters are here are pointing out you are wrong. LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Wolfgirrl · 17/04/2020 23:47

eye rolls funny how when people don't like replies on their thread they don't address points, just make unfunny jokes lol

Ponoka7 · 17/04/2020 23:48

@CaroleFuckinBaskin, if our bodies respond to it in the same way as, the other corona viruses, then immunity only lasts a few months at best.

I think I've had it. My DD who lives with me, could have only got it from me and she had every tick box symptom. She is still very tired.

Because I'm in the shielding group, I'll be getting the vaccine and i know other people that will be. So by the time it is offered to everyone else, it will be well tested.

SmileyClare · 17/04/2020 23:49

I feel like I'm in a movie right now. It makes me suspicious

You have to protect your mental health in this situation and stop looking at conspiracy theories online.

There are anti vaxxers with an agenda who prey on the impressionable and right now there are a lot of people feeling unsettled and confused.

I'd advise stopping internet research on this. Get outside, keep in touch with real life and avoid blurring fantasy and reality. It's not healthy.

PyongyangKipperbang · 17/04/2020 23:49

i'm not at all sober so going for my instictive reaction on this one.

No, you fucking idiot.

GreytExpectations · 17/04/2020 23:50

Op, how long will you self isolate to protect the vulnerable? Will you quit your job to ensure you don't spread the virus? What is you intentions for you children (if you have any)? Surly you shouldn't be putting their lives at risk.

Scienceisgreat76 · 17/04/2020 23:51

Night all. I’ll be back on tomorrow Smile
