He must be about day 8/9 when things start to go downhill if you don't start to improve.

sluj · 05/04/2020 21:23

I hope this shocks people into taking this seriously and staying indoors. I wish him and all the other people suffering with this dreadful virus a speedy recovery.

LegoBloodyHurts · 05/04/2020 21:23

Had a feeling he wasn’t doing too good. Hope he is ok Sad

ShootsFruitAndLeaves · 05/04/2020 21:23

I don't know why people need to qualify their well wishes with 'I'm not a Tory'. It's not necessary.

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 05/04/2020 21:24

Does this mean Dominic “Dover is Important” Raab is defacto PM now then. Fabsticks.

I thought it was Gove! Not much better, mind...

Babyroobs · 05/04/2020 21:25

My dh said yesterday ( or maybe Friday? ) the last time he did a quick appearance that he seemed to be taking sharp breathes in between sentences ad looked awful.

Randomschoolworker19 · 05/04/2020 21:25

Awful news, hope he recovers but the survival rates for those hospitalised in the UK are pretty awful.

Isn't it something like 90% dead and 10% recovered?

Seriously this virus needs to fuck off.

BlackeyedSusan · 05/04/2020 21:25

oh. that'll make things tricky.

MortyFide · 05/04/2020 21:25

Oh no. Poor Boris, I hope he starts feeling better and makes a good recovery quickly. He did look rough the other night.

Babyroobs · 05/04/2020 21:26

Lets hope it's just precautionary rather than because he has taken a serious down turn.

StealthPolarBear · 05/04/2020 21:26

Actually if you read the advice one of the reasons to seek help is if symptoms don't go away after x days (can't remember the exact details)

Vaginandtonic · 05/04/2020 21:27

I think the threshold for him going into hospital is probably very low. DH still had a temp at around 10 days and did seem to deteriorate but 111 say that as long as you are breathing OK then just stay home. He is fine now. I think this is just a precaution.

Looneytune253 · 05/04/2020 21:27

Wow. Either it's serious enough for a hosp admission or it's not. I'm a bit cross about this 'precautionary' thing. Joe public can't get treatment as a 'precautionary' matter. Including my dh who is suffering at home on day 12.

Holothane · 05/04/2020 21:28

Oh good grief not good.

Yummypalmtree · 05/04/2020 21:28

Whether you like him or not please try and remember he’s someones son, father, partner. I hope he recovers very soon.

Darbs76 · 05/04/2020 21:29

Oh gosh. Get well soon Boris

Cwenthryth · 05/04/2020 21:29

Apparently Raab was appointed “designated survivor” (although this isn’t really what that phrase means) a while back, because we don’t really have any official order of command other than what the individual government decides. I’d have assumed Hunt seeing as he was runner up in the leadership contest, or the big 3 cabinet positions Sunak/Patel/Hunt, but BoJo got to pick I think.

NettleTea · 05/04/2020 21:29

shit, thats not great is it

Cary2012 · 05/04/2020 21:29

Yes they are saying on news that it is precautionary. Also said that majority of people improve after 7 days, but that can be the point it can sometimes get more serious.

Pomegranatepompom · 05/04/2020 21:30

I thought he looked very unwell in the last pic I saw. I think he's more sick than what has been said. I do hope he gets better.

Kraejka · 05/04/2020 21:30

They will be saying "precautionary" so as not to cause a panic about it.
I thought he looked terrible and really ill on the last video he did.
He looked like he should be in hospital.

Cary2012 · 05/04/2020 21:30

I hope your husband recovers soon @Looneytune253

I dislike the man, but the stress of his job isn’t going to be helping his health at all.

Stress, lack of sleep etc have a huge impact on our bodies.

NorahsBatty · 05/04/2020 21:31

On a personal level I can't stand the man.
But I wish him a speedy recovery.
