No. It'll get much more restrictive too. People aren't listening. Say goodbye to your daily exercise we will be like Spain , can only go to the nearest shop. That's it

No, I think another 3 weeks.

No. I don't think they ever intended it to - just felt that saying '3 weeks and we'll review' would make the public more compliant than announcing a long period of lockdown.

I think we're in this for much longer, particularly as too many people have really not clicked what needs to happen and are still wandering about.

No chance at all. An expert from UCL said today that if people do what they have been told/asked to do then there is a chance the restrictions could be lifted at the end of May. I think that is absolute best case scenario!

Nope. A while to go yet I fear.

No.

Not a chance. What in the world would make you think that would even be a consideration?

The peak will be in a few days, we will then see at least a week of high death figures and then a slowly decreasing number - I think they will start to think about relaxing in about 3/4 weeks

Ha! No way. And that will be the right decision.

DamsonDress · 04/04/2020 18:45

Nope. I think it will reviewed and extended at the 3 week point.

Why would your DP even think this OP? It will be another month minimum.

Sadly not, I think we could have a good few more weeks of this and goodness knows how we will gradually be allowed to interact again.

I think a more useful guide is the furlough scheme. It has been guaranteed until the end of May.

I can't see it lasting more than a few weeks into June, not in the same format anyway.

LittleLittleLittle · 04/04/2020 18:50

I heard end of May in a media outlet today.

Tiredmum100 · 04/04/2020 18:53

Nope

No way. I was hoping so but my dsis is a nurse on a covid ward and the horrors she tells me mean I think this will last at least 2 more sets of 3 weeks.

I just think the government don't want to scary us and cause riots but announcement such a long lockdown

Next week will mark the three week date from when BoJo said there should be a non-lockdown and your husband, as I am, may be wondering if all us furloughed workers will be sent back into work from next weds onwards. I'm wondering it too.

BearSoFair · 04/04/2020 19:01

Not a chance. I think end of May, start of June is more realistic, and even then it'll be gradual and a while until things are back to 'normal'.

no

there is no way lockdown here is going to end until it's ended in the other European Countries and there is no sign of that yet althought their infection rates are slowing.

It will be extended obviously.

I think if there is evidence of significant failure to follow the instructions this weekend, then on Monday or Tuesday we will see the rules tightened. Absolutely maddening that so many who have followed the rules may lose their exercise because of selfish idiots who wanted to party.

Report
wildthingsinthenight · 04/04/2020 19:13

Not a chance in hell.
They will do away with daily exercise next as people are acting like idiots

Not a chance.
