Delay in today's numbers

Unless I'm being really stupid, it doesn't look like the numbers have been updated for today, it still says 24th March

www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public

Not seen any reasons as to why they are delayed?

First place usually is on the department of health and social care twitter feed.

Big figures for wales and Northern Ireland. Worrying - total UK could be very high today.

RainbowPenguins · 25/03/2020 20:31

England have always released later than the other nations, not sure if it's because of volume or other reasons. When the cases first started it used to be 2-3pm but has gradually got later but today is significantly late. I keep refreshing the page as surely it must be released soon. I wonder what the delay is.

Bluntness100 · 25/03/2020 20:32

The amount of serious cases has gone up a lot. It's been 20 for the last few days which I thought was suspicious with increasing deaths. Currently at 163

That twenty was not accurate, it’s been the same for at least a week I think. So we don’t know if they went up or down in reality because we don’t know what they were.

Bagelsandbrie · 25/03/2020 20:32

I think if they are very low they will have difficulties enforcing the current lockdown type rules. I am waiting to hear too.

Innitogether · 25/03/2020 20:33

Alright @Bluntness100. What I mean is that so far figures for those who have died seem to have been for people with underlying conditions, that may be changing to include some who didn’t have any underlying conditions. I must admit I tend to just focus on number of deaths and not number of cases.

PrettyLittleLiar20 · 25/03/2020 20:33

414 just in England. Just heard on bbc news.

Blondiney · 25/03/2020 20:33

The delay is making me nervous.

ChipotleBlessing · 25/03/2020 20:34

I think the serious cases thing on worldometer was never from a reliable source. England don’t release that data, but Scotland did today. The 20 seemed to come from that dr on reddit.

Wellwhatalovelyday · 25/03/2020 20:34

I’ve been searching to see if I could find the numbers too. Hoping for the best but fearing the worst I’m afraid...

Bluntness100 · 25/03/2020 20:34

Big figures for wales and Northern Ireland

Is it, doesn’t look too big to me?

ShellsAndSunrises · 25/03/2020 20:35

Latest from @NHSEngland*

A further 28 people, who tested positive for #Coronavirus have died, bringing the number of confirmed reported deaths in England to 414.

Patients were aged between 47 and 93 years old.

All except the 47 year old had underlying health conditions.*

From the Suns political editor on Twitter...

Bluntness100 · 25/03/2020 20:35

414 what? Cases or deaths?

Eggcited · 25/03/2020 20:35

I just posted on the daily number thread wondering where they were, but this thread seems more appropriate.

Have the figures ever been this late before?

PrettyLittleLiar20 · 25/03/2020 20:35

Sorry 414 whole of UK

Bluntness100 · 25/03/2020 20:36

Only 28 deaths for England?

PrettyLittleLiar20 · 25/03/2020 20:36

Deaths

AlrightThen · 25/03/2020 20:36

@PrettyLittleLiar20

Oh no...

PrettyLittleLiar20 · 25/03/2020 20:36

Yes so that’s good news right?

Blondiney · 25/03/2020 20:36

That doesn't sound right.

Peapod29 · 25/03/2020 20:36

I was wondering why they were late too. I feel it’s probably a bad thing. Anyone get that horrible feeling in the pit of their stomach come 2 pm knowing your going to see really bad news ?

PrettyLittleLiar20 · 25/03/2020 20:37

Obviously not good I mean. But you know what I meant. Low number in the last 24 hours.

Mawbags · 25/03/2020 20:37

Still says 434

ShellsAndSunrises · 25/03/2020 20:37

Or for people who prefer a photo...

AlrightThen · 25/03/2020 20:37

@PrettyLittleLiar20

Confused now...
