@gingerbreadslice oof unfriendly cat alert!

To be honest we don’t try to pick him up really because he had to have medical treatment for a breathing problem when he was a month old and he was very traumatised by being held for the medicine. I did pick him up a few times when he was first with us but he sometimes struggled so we gave up. He is very affectionate though, he nudges you to get your attention, loves ear and nose rubs and comes and sits on our laps.

He just sounds adorable. I have one bunny now who's outside (his bunny mate died that's why he's on his own) I miss her so much. She brought such joy. My bunny now I love him but we don't have that bond cos he won't let me. He's not a people bunny. So it's a bit sad. But I love him of course. I really miss my bunny

This is my poinsettia that I bought at Christmas last year (oh for those days of innocence! ). It was one of a pair that I killed off pretty fast.

Apparently you're supposed to keep them in absolute darkness for half a day to get the leaves to grow red. I put it in the cupboard under the stairs to try to do this but I kept forgetting. Now I'm just keeping it alive!

It's a definite project I've given myself for this period in time so I hope I don't get too upset if it dies!

I've done exactly the same! My Xmas pointsettia was almost dead in Feb and I was going to chuck it out but it rallied when I put it on the windowsill and gave it some water.

Noooblerooble · 02/04/2020 18:03

How did you reduce it? I’m down to 3 X 8/500mg and already having awful restless legs (was on 3 and a half 2 days ago). Please tell me how you did it?

I'm afraid I can't say beyond coming off v slowly. I was getting dreadful side effects on it by the end so as far as I remember it wasn't that different coming off as I already felt dreadful all the time. And then suddenly there came a day when I had reduced it and wasn't taking it and I started feeling so much better. It's vile stuff. Stick at it if you can. Hour at a time. And drink lots of water. If you can get through this bit it'll make life better overall.

I also love Henry. What a sweetheart. I have a dog and today she kindly got fleas. I have been washing everything and was v grateful to find both flea tablets and the insecticide spray needed to kill larvae on her bed etc. At least i've had a good workout. I'd love to share photos of her on here as she's a beauty but it'd be too outing. But picture a very hairy multicoloured mutt with the most soulful eyes who likes nothing more than to lie across laps and you've got her.

Is there a new thread started yet???

Arcadia · 02/04/2020 19:04

No one wants to venture onto the Coronavirus board to set up the new thread! 🤣

RobinHobb · 02/04/2020 19:06

Nonidea how to do it otherwise I'd try...

tobee · 02/04/2020 19:10

Delete if one started already

@purpleme12 oh I’m so sorry about your bunny. My friend has one who isn’t a people bunny also. He just lives in their garden by choice- won’t come in the house! We had a good feeling about Henry because he came straight over the the glass to see us when we were looking but I guess you can’t really tell. We have spent a huge amount of time cooing over him- he’s been ridiculously spoilt for attention as he is our first and only bunny- maybe that helps but I have no idea really.

I’m encouraged that you got through it and felt better @Noooblerooble , I’m reducing by another half a tablet today so here goes nothing! I’m taking my tens machine and paracetamol up to bed in case I need them overnight. Urgh.

Your dog sounds adorable by the way. Pets bring so much joy don’t they?! They really brighten your life.

Henry sends you a kiss @gingerbreadslice ! 😘

What a weird time this is. Sometimes I get lost in what I’m doing and forget about the dreaded C word for half an hour. Other times I feel afraid that life will never return to normal! Sad
