Work will have to wait ...

Bunnyflop · 02/04/2020 12:03

Yes that should get your stress out! Dh and ds did PE with Joe this morning, was a right laugh!

Bunnyflop · 02/04/2020 12:03

I mean I was laughing at them

Spudlet · 02/04/2020 12:13

Home from my run - 4K today. Had a brief socially distanced chat with a man who was sorting his horses out - only for a minute or two, but it lifted my spirits!

Keeping a tally of how many bits of KT tape I have on - at the start of the week it was none. Yesterday it was two. Today, five.... any bets on how many I’ll need by Sunday?! ConfusedGrin

Well done on your run spudlet. What’s KT tape?

Good luck bunny with your tapering down and arcadia hope the pt session bounces you into a better mood.

We all found Joe PE a bit hard and boring so today I got the kids (and me!) to do some GoNoodle videos which was a lot of fun (and surprisingly hard work!)

Spudlet · 02/04/2020 13:15

It’s that brightly coloured tape you see various athletes wearing - it’s stretchy so it gives a bit of support. I generally have a couple of bits stuck to me for each run as I have a niggly hip, but fortunately I have two unopened rolls so I should get through the week even if I’m totally cocooned in it by Sunday Grin

Thanks @Callybrid I do feel better if a bit shaky, it was tough!

Alsohuman · 02/04/2020 13:40

I know what you mean Arcadia, it’s the straw and the camel’s back, isn’t it? I knocked the milk over the other day and almost cried until I was reminded it was the ultimate cliche!

Arcadia · 02/04/2020 13:47

@Alsohuman crying over spilt milk Grin
It's weird how much you can cope with and then something really small makes you lose your shit.
My DD complained that balsamic vinegar had got onto her cheese at lunch and I gave her a lecture about the fact that she finds something to complain about at every meal and I'm tired of it and finding it hard to get all the meals ready every day, and she's lucky to have food. Felt bad afterwards

Noooblerooble · 02/04/2020 13:50

Arcadia a hug from me too.

Look at us all, getting through the days. Aren't we clever? I think we are. Wink we all need a pat on the back

I saw a video on fb today which is drone footage of Bristol. It was so empty. It was sad but so uplifting seeing people really are staying in. We can beat this.

I had to have a work skype this a.m so sat there in my suit jacket and make up and pyjama trousers underneath Grin I was wrapping up a project I've worked on for a while so that felt great. One less stress. I have been chuckling as a photo was going round Twitter of 3 other people holding an online meeting. The boss accidentally put a filter on so she looked like a potato with lips and she got stuck like that. It gave me such terrible giggles I couldn't stop for ages

Noooblerooble · 02/04/2020 13:53

Bunnyflop lots of luck getting off co-codamol. I took it for years and it never helped my pain. I felt so so much better once off it. I couldn't believe it

Arcadia · 02/04/2020 14:03

Thanks @Noooblerooble that made me LOL, still chuckling!

Arcadia · 02/04/2020 14:04

Are people doing NHS clap tonight at 8, is it a regular thing?

Arcadia · 02/04/2020 14:06

Here you go no amazing news today but a mention of Billy is always welcome!

Bunnyflop · 02/04/2020 14:24

@Noooblerooble ah! My fellow pain buddy! How did you reduce it? I’m down to 3 X 8/500mg and already having awful restless legs (was on 3 and a half 2 days ago). Please tell me how you did it?! I was on 8 x30/500mg a few years ago. Bloody dr gave them out like sweets.

Callybrid · 02/04/2020 14:35

Potato boss! That’s great Grin

Arcadia · 02/04/2020 14:56

Eek we need new thread soon someone please!!! It's my lifeline!

tobee · 02/04/2020 16:42

I think we all need a pat on the back right now but this thread and contributors particularly.

Also all my lovely friends and relations who have been helping my family out with dropping off food on my doorstep. Bread and milk but also lovely extras like biscuits and crisps. I think of them every time I eat something from them!!! We are shielding extremely vulnerable dh and these things truly are the definition of a lifeline for us! 💓

@Bunnyflop

Beautiful bunny Henry has 2 little fans in the form of my dds, every day they ask if there's any more pictures of him

Bunnyflop · 02/04/2020 17:26

@diannewhatcock that makes me so happy to hear!! Please tell your dds I said hi and that Henry is very lucky to have fans! These two pics are for them and I took them just a minute ago. From 4.30pm onwards when Henry knows I’m cooking dinner and ds is having some apple to snack on he comes up and sits in the dining room hoping for a bit (and nudges our legs to make sure he gets it). So here he is sitting under the table hoping for another piece of apple, and then he went to rip some bits of cardboard off the inside of his brand new box. Smile

I now want a house bunny Sad

gingerbreadslice · 02/04/2020 17:36

@Bunnyflop I did want to ask does Henry ket you pick him up like a cat does? Then again my cat we used to have was quite hostile you was only allowed to touch her if she came to you, if you went to her you'd get claws in your hand. I actually miss her a lot even though she was quite a horrible cat Grin

Hugs and Flowers from me Arcadia

Loving all the bunny pictures! We went out for a walk early yesterday morning and went round the field and said hello to the donkeys there. Good for the soul! Came back via our local butchers who was well stocked as usual and picked up some lovely chicken which we had for dinner last night. Really appreciating our local shops again - it's been so easy to slip into going to Aldi's or Sainsbury's for our weekly shop, but our butchers, bakers and local Nisa have been our lifeline over these past couple of weeks.
