I need one loo roll a day

So I have been keeping track of it. I need one a day (if I'm working from home) and more when on my period.

My friend lives in a houseshare with two other people. She says they have 16 rolls at home, which is more than enough. She says that will last them a long time. How?

That is a lot of loo roll

I think I use maybe one a week. One a day sounds a lot

What exactly are you using it for? Because no one can wee or poo that much.

Perspective. Maybe her idea of 'a long time' is not the same as yours.

You’re wasting toilet roll and using too much. Drip dry and use 2 sheets max for a wee!

We use about 2 rolls over three days. Two adults, one child. So 16 would last us just over 3 weeks I think for the bathroom. Over the course of that we may use one extra roll on runny noses/eyes due to colds, allergies and children crying.

Should mention we have a second child but he's still in nappies so only uses toilet tissue for nose and eyes.

How many sheets do you use per time? If you use good quality paper you only need 1 for pees and maybe 2 for poos. When you’re at home it’s far cheaper to clean up heavy periods under the shower.

How can you use a loo roll a day OP? Do you have a medical condition? Me and dd go through one a week. Even self isolating this wee we're not using loads more

How? I'm not being funny, but how do you use so much? I poo quite a bit. 1 roll lasts over a week of say. Do you wrap it around your hand many times before wiping?
I need to know lol. But honestly, I need to know unless you're going about 90 times a day.

She is not thinking of having to buy more in the coming days. It doesn't seem a lot to me for three people.

I have actually been trying to save loo roll but it doesn't make much of a difference. If you poo twice a day, several wees...it just doesn't last.

One day sounds ridiculous! There’s four of us here isolating and we don’t get through one a day!

One a week? I can't get my head around that. I need to look into it and optimise. I take a few sheet for each wipe. I don't want my fingers to get wet.

There are 4 in my household.
I change the loo roll every other day approximately.
3 ply roll.
The drill:
2 squares for a wee. That's it.
3 squares on repeat (approx x3-4) for a poo until clean.
Paper neatly folded, no bunching allowed.
This is our 'all the time' routine, not shortage driven.
Currently have 6 rolls in house, but will look out for more next weekend, as consumption may increase now we're home a bit more.

Christ, clean up heavy periods under the shower? Seriously? Shower once an hour or so?

I haven't counted the number of sheets but will. I just use a comfy amount. Always have. I never thought it was much until the conversation with my friend

When we buy supplies for Guide camp, we work on 1 roll per person per week.
