EezyOozy · 20/03/2020 19:05

No, it’s not essential

livingthegoodlife · 20/03/2020 19:05

Treescaper · 20/03/2020 19:05

WeeMadArthur · 20/03/2020 19:06

Not now, you might not have symptoms now but just think how many people have been in that hairdressers in the last week.

IceKitten · 20/03/2020 19:07

No I wouldn't

SapphireSalute · 20/03/2020 19:07

no. dont you understand?

wildthingsinthenight · 20/03/2020 19:07

No way. We are supposed to be socially distancing! Essential trips only!

Abracad · 20/03/2020 19:07

Christ.

Kel9 · 20/03/2020 19:07

No 😂 come on who cares about hair in this time!! Wait it out.

Ronia · 20/03/2020 19:08

My Instagram feed has had quite a few people getting their hair done before lockdown. Madness. That said I wish I'd had my hair cut a couple of weeks ago before all this got bad. It really needs a cut. Dread to think the state it'll be in my the time I can get it cut again!

mrssunshinexxx · 20/03/2020 19:09

This is exactly the problem

starrysimon · 20/03/2020 19:10

If your hairdresser is still open then go, please support them! Boris has not advised closures of salons, tattooists etc. yet so get it done whilst you can.

I’m booked in for the 1st of April as I’ve not had my hair done since before falling pregnant and I’m due in a month! Won’t be going for 6 weeks after that

Ginisatonic · 20/03/2020 19:10

No. I had an appointment today. I cancelled it. I am already overdue for a cut and I hate to think what I’ll look like in 3 or more months time. But I felt the risk was too high. When I cancelled it they weren’t surprised and said they expected to be closing soon.

Deux · 20/03/2020 19:11

I’ve been trying to grow my hair out so I see this as an opportunity to crack on with it.

I was due a trim around now but I didn’t fancy being so up close.

Handbag101 · 20/03/2020 19:14

Listen. Even I'm not going and I love getting my hair done. I've been with the same hairdresser for years and I feel bad but this is serious Stay home, be sensible and embrace the quarantine chic look!!!

WhatICallMyUsername · 20/03/2020 19:14

My friends hairdresser has called her to cancel her appt tomorrow as he's been told he has to close tonight. Not sure where this has come from as I can't see any actual government statement saying this (I am not saying I disagree, just not sure who told him)

SauvignonBlanche · 20/03/2020 19:15

I’m desperate for a haircut! Sad
No I wouldn’t

NuclearWinter · 20/03/2020 19:17

If you want to support your local hairdresser then give them the money for the cut. But don't go.

The government could not have been clearer.

Balkinfly · 20/03/2020 19:17
Hmm
AwdBovril · 20/03/2020 19:18

Hell no. If it's long enough, ponytail it. If you have a pixie cut, buy clippers, scissors & do it yourself.... & maybe a hat.

happymummy12345 · 20/03/2020 19:19

Not hair but I have my next two nail and eyebrow appointments booked one next Thursday 26th March for my birthday nails, the next one two week later on the 9th April for my wedding anniversary nails, and will be going if I am able to. My lady is self employed so will no doubt struggle if she is unable to work. She and always practices good hygiene anyway and everyone who is based in the salon are taking all necessary precautions at this time. I will support her as long as I can. I realise I probably won't be able to go but I'm still hoping I can.

Jasquers · 20/03/2020 19:19

Why don't people understand what is required !? Makes me so angry. How is a hair cut essential? I despair so much

StormyClouds · 20/03/2020 19:21

I don't think there is an issue with going for a haircut. This social distancing is going to continue for months and it is unhygienic and inappropriate to keep your hair uncut throughout that time.

I'm just back from getting mine cut this afternoon in fact.
