No my hair will just have to grow,

Willow2017 · 21/03/2020 00:55

we anti bac literally everything
What with antii-bac gel with 60% alcohol ?

SilverySurfer · 21/03/2020 01:09

it is unhygienic and inappropriate to keep your hair uncut throughout that time.

Total and utter bullshit.

PinkPanther27 · 21/03/2020 01:14

Of course not!

Willow2017 · 21/03/2020 01:29

Was that replying to me?

@Anniecott :
The problem with this virus is that people may well have it and have no symptoms whatsoever so sending home those with a "sniffle" just is not good enough - IIRC runny nose/sniffle isn't one of the symptoms anyway.
The virus is airborne.
Hair dryers work a bit like a hand held fan heater.
They suck air out of the atmosphere inside your salon then warm it and blow it out with much gusto, all over and around the people in your salon - including you.
I can think of few places to be at the moment which would be worse for the risk of contracting this disease, than a hair salon.

This with bells on!

Hand washing and anti bac gel are not going to save you.

I'm not saying don't do those things, you definitely should but it doesn't mean you will be safe. Seems to be the message is out there that if you wash your hands it won't get you

Arseit · 21/03/2020 02:04

@StormyClouds the sooner an enforced lockdown is implemented to ensure utter idiots like you are not continuing to ‘carry on regardless’ the better.
Whoever above said natural selection was spot on....

TeaAndDarkToast · 21/03/2020 02:08

why thank you Wink

DennisReynoldsDuster · 21/03/2020 03:41

I also want to direct stormy to the video of a 39 year old woman without any underlying conditions on oxygen in a London hospital warning people to take it seriously. Just google it (don’t want to share a DM link).
In America half the people in hospital are under 60.

So your “everyone outside of the risk groups will be fine” attitude is utter bollocks quite frankly. Yes there is less chance younger people will get it badly but look at the stats - a lot of young people are still going to die from this. A lot of people generally are going to die from this especially if fucking idiots like yourself carry on swanning about with their head in the clouds thinking they know better.
Hope you can live with blood on your hands.

No. I have a mobile hairdresser. Last week I went to her house as we have two “well” households. I was in and out. No cut no blow dry. Just roots. With this new “shutdown” I wouldn’t go now.

chocolatdrink · 21/03/2020 12:28

I know it's just hair but for me having my hair done is a boost and a treat.

I am getting a root touch up thing (via delivery through my letter box).

On a positive note, the money I save not going to the hairdressers can go into my holiday fund.
