Totally out of his fucking depth

A comprehensive explanation is available at the following website:

staythefuckhome.com

Wink
CendrillonSings · 23/03/2020 23:00

The official Government advice is here:

www.gov.uk/government/publications/full-guidance-on-staying-at-home-and-away-from-others/full-guidance-on-staying-at-home-and-away-from-others

Crystal-clear, but that won’t stop the people who live to moan about Boris and the Tories. Well, everybody needs something to keep themselves busy in lockdown, I suppose!

The80sweregreat · 23/03/2020 23:02

It's more like ' mock down '
People will flout the rules.

CendrillonSings · 23/03/2020 23:04

See what I mean? Grin

Bflatmajorsharp · 24/03/2020 00:42

Cendrillon what is not clear is exactly how freelance, self-employed and gig economy workers can contribute to social distancing if they will receive no pay if they don't go to work.

This puts hundreds of thousands of people (at least) having to travel to work that is essential to them being able to put food on the table, even though the work itself isn't essential per se.

It's also not clear how the thousands of street homeless people are supposed to 'stay home'.

Nor is it clear why key workers doing vital jobs like health and social care, postal, retail, delivery, maintenance work aren't being provided with PPE so they can at least do their jobs as safely as possible, and reduce contaminating others, especially those who are vulnerable.

What really strikes me is how very LITTLE Johnson knows about how society functions on a day-to-day basis.

Alsohuman · 24/03/2020 07:49

Cendrillon I know you use that stupid little grinning face specifically to be goady but please could you stop it now? It’s really inappropriate when things are so serious.

SubjectMatterExpert · 24/03/2020 07:57

Yes, this struck me too @Alsohuman

@CendrillonSings it is great that he has FINALLY told everyone to stay home but

  1. as alsohuman says, this is full of gaping holes for swathes of the community

  2. it is nearly 3 weeks later than he should have done it

  3. it doesn’t excuse all the suffering and pain the Torres have caused over decades. It’s THEIR bloody fault that the NHS is so poorly equipped to deal with this

Marieo · 24/03/2020 08:14

@Bflatmajorsharp it might not be passed, I would be surprised if it was in the public domain and wasn't though:

TBH its his tory party/brexit base that ignore govt advice/rules... ...entitled and believe in exceptionalism, both for themselves and the UK.

Yes, Tories cut 21k police numbers, so we now have 50% what Italy has, so how the xxxx are we going to enforce this lock down?
Let alone the damage done to the NHS and other public services we will all need in the coming months but won't be there.

whatdayisitandotherquestions · 24/03/2020 09:58

Also all the civil servants they got rid of. I wouldn't be surprised if crisis planning for this kind of thing was some of the "red tape" that they got rid of.

CendrillonSings · 24/03/2020 10:15

I know you use that stupid little grinning face specifically to be goady but please could you stop it now? It’s really inappropriate when things are so serious.

I believe it’s the first time I’ve used it during this entire crisis, actually - call it nervous relief at the lockdown kicking in.

On the other hand, considering how many hundreds of goady carping posts fill these threads, I’m not sure a single emoji is the worst thing you could encounter...

LittleRootie · 24/03/2020 14:47

Whenever Cendrillon uses that face I always see this

With every press conference he gets worse
PotholeParadise · 24/03/2020 15:31

Yup. A couple of hours later, they had to update the guidance for children in shared custody. I mean, how the fuck did no-one realise that should have been outlined from the start?

CendrillonSings · 24/03/2020 16:59

Whenever Cendrillon uses that face I always see this

Really? Whenever you post I always think “what a load of Arse” Wink

LittleRootie · 24/03/2020 17:07

Whenever you post I always think “what a load of Arse

I wasn't aware i'd posted that much really but, sure, I think the same about your dreary tory-bot comments - sort of goes without saying.

But we were talking about the grinning face you constantly employ to try to spice up the monotony of your posts. There is definitely something quite creepy about the way you employ them

CendrillonSings · 24/03/2020 17:15

I’m not sure why you bothered to change your username while keeping the style and content of your Labour-bot posts exactly the same. What’s the point of it?

LittleRootie · 24/03/2020 17:23

What on earth are you talking about Cendrillon? Confused

Alsohuman · 24/03/2020 17:36

Oh sweet Jesus, what did I start?

CendrillonSings · 24/03/2020 17:37

Whatever you say. If you’re not a name-changed poster with whom I’ve had the displeasure of interacting, then I’ve got unsettling news for you: you have a literal doppelgänger somewhere out there, and they also like to post on MN.

Dun-dun-dun! Wink

LittleRootie · 24/03/2020 17:44

Alsohuman something really nasty going on here..Sad

There's a lot of unpleasant posters out there at the moment but I'd have to say Cendrillion is the worst offender, something really 'off' about their posts. I don't know if you're trying to bully me off here but it won't work and I won't be 'interacting' with you any further

Alsohuman · 24/03/2020 18:47

Rootie, she’s consistently vile. The constant goading before last year’s election and the crowing afterwards were disgraceful. She’s very careful never to say anything that could be reported. It’s not so much what she says as how she says it. And always that bloody silly little grinning face.

tobee · 24/03/2020 20:31

Don't feed the troll guys!

TikTokTikTok1 · 24/03/2020 20:48

I think he’s doing well given what’s happening right now. His only mistake was having faith in the morons in this country!

LittleRootie · 24/03/2020 22:54

I will not get drawn in anymore Alsohuman Smile

I didn't think Matt Hancock did too badly today, he's obviously followed some of Alastair Campbell's advice on communication.
