Totally out of his fucking depth

BouleBaker · 19/03/2020 17:30

As always. Muppet

tinybluerose · 19/03/2020 17:30

So far he has said nothing at all- no new news today

As someone who has no income after tomorrow- because the government contract I work on has been postponed with immediate effect this morning I dont feel particularly looked after.

CornishPorsche · 19/03/2020 17:34

Today is a waste of everyone's time.

Telling people with no job as a result of this to apply for UC is unacceptable.

GlassCollectorAnnie · 19/03/2020 17:34

My kid said to me ‘he’s an idiot isn’t he?’ Couldn’t disagree. The man talking now is much clearer and has way more authority about him. Boris is a bumbling buffoon.

heath48 · 19/03/2020 17:34

Wondered how long it would be before this tripe came up again!!!

He is not making decisions on his own!!!

He is listening to his advisers,I am very happy with what he is doing and I am not on my own there, what do you expect him to do? Take some responsibility for yourself.

LochJessMonster · 19/03/2020 17:34

I think he’s doing well. He kept schools open as long as he could which was vital.

If he shuts everything then people lose wages and it’s all downhill from there.

Windyone · 19/03/2020 17:35

Obviously he’s following the advice of his advisors

IndecentFeminist · 19/03/2020 17:35

Has he said which groups are key workers yet?

CornishPorsche · 19/03/2020 17:35

What do we expect the PM to do? Not be a bumbling, bombastic twat. That would be a good start.

lovelyupnorth · 19/03/2020 17:36

We are a week away max from having to get rid of all our staff, as though we have lots of money owed no fucker is paying and BlowJob is so out of his depth it's untrue. but some fuckers voted for this and then we still have Brexit crashing in the close distance.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 19/03/2020 17:37

He's appalling. He may be listening to his advisors but he is horrendous about communicating what they say. He appeared to struggle to remember the name of one of his own Cabinet ministers just now.

CoronaIsComing · 19/03/2020 17:38

He totally CBA with today 🙈

MindyStClaire · 19/03/2020 17:38

His decisions are one thing. But committing to updating the country on a daily basis and then appearing visibly bored of the process a few days in is so unprofessional I can hardly believe what I just saw.

tinybluerose · 19/03/2020 17:39

We are a week away max from having to get rid of all our staff

Similar- it is the payroll run tomorrow for the 23rd. I have taken the decision not to pay myself in order to pay them but who knows going forward.

Chloemol · 19/03/2020 17:41

JC would be exactly the same, but then i know it’s most favourite thong on MN to Boris bash

AlternativePerspective · 19/03/2020 17:43

As much as I loathe the man I wouldn’t want to be in his job for all the money in the world.

And he’s right. The more people take personal responsibility the less measures the government will have to introduce to make the difference.

Last week people were clammering for schools to shut. Now that they are people are complaining about it.

Now they’re going on about going into lockdown, shutting all cafe’s and restaurants, I have no doubt that if that happens they’ll complain about that as well.

People talk so casually on here about how we need to do this and that to combat the virus but with no thought to the collateral damage which will come from those measures. Financial crisis, hardship, increased debt, increased suicide

People might as wel be saying “oh well, being made redundant and unable to feed your family is a small price to pay. Be grateful you’re still alive. And I believe that many MN’ers think the same.

vanillacaramelalmond · 19/03/2020 17:43

He actually looks as if he's trying to suppress a smirk, I've been taking the advice very seriously but his lack of sincere seriousness almost makes me feel that I've been overreacting. There's something so flippant about his manner.

Piglet89 · 19/03/2020 17:43

Atrocious. Just...atrocious.

Keepcalmanddoyourbit · 19/03/2020 17:45

@vanillacaramelalmond Indeed

@Chloemol Hmm

tinybluerose · 19/03/2020 17:45

Think before laying off your staff- perfect- how do you pay them? Only businesses with business premises are eligible for any help so far.

nowmorethanever · 19/03/2020 17:46

I thought you were talking about Trump when I read the title. I watched a fair bit of him rambling earlier today and was appalled. More so than ever.

Haven't seen BJ's latest offering yet. Don't know if I dare now.

PerpendicularVincent · 19/03/2020 17:46

It appears that a love of Boris Johnson is coupled with a fondness for exclamation marks.

TokyoSushi · 19/03/2020 17:47

This is absolutely dreadful today! He clearly can't be arsed doing them every day...

We desperately need to know what they are doing to support our income at the moment, bring back Rishi Sunak, at least he speaks sense!

GoosetheCat · 19/03/2020 17:47

@lovelyupnorth I don't think anyone, no matter how or why they voted, voted for this.

Keepcalmanddoyourbit · 19/03/2020 17:48

"boosterish!......it's not even a fucking word
