Children can and have caught it and been hospitalised.

If he is ill err on the side of caution and keep him home.

voddiekeepsmesane · 15/03/2020 20:45

@chipsandgin the reason why so many of us are angry with the OP is not that she doesn't understand it's because she has chosen not to inform herself at all. Not understanding is not the same as ignorance

JinglingHellsBells · 15/03/2020 20:45

@chipsandgin So your long post concludes with the fact that the OP has learning difficulties or doesn't watch the news or read online...or cannot read...

The advice could not be clearer. some people just want to think it doesn't apply to them .

Thanks @ahchuan10 xx

I hope OP you have actually taken on board the advice rather than just thanking posters who you feel have been kind to you.

Nowhere have you said you were remiss for not educating yourself on any of this.

Do you not feel a tiny bit embarrassed?

hurryupautumn · 15/03/2020 20:51

@JinglingHellsBells I'm not about to grovel to bullies like yourself, no.

voddiekeepsmesane · 15/03/2020 20:52

OMG Hmm

hurryupautumn · 15/03/2020 20:52

@JinglingHellsBells - your responses to my question say more about you than me,

Wow let's all be kinder.
OP sorry you have had a hard time and hope you are ok.
Yes keep her home for 7 days and if you develop a cough OR a temperature a new 7 days starts.
Hopefully you have friends and family you can telephone, who will drop bits off for you. But remember no visitors in the house.
Also remember most cases are mild so dont be frightened.

hurryupautumn · 15/03/2020 20:53

@JinglingHellsBells - i would be more embarrassed if I were you.

I hope OP you have actually taken on board the advice rather than just thanking posters who you feel have been kind to you.

She made it clear in several separate posts that she has taken on board the advice so there’s really no need for this.

hurryupautumn · 15/03/2020 20:54

@voddiekeepsmesane - thank you, I'm fine! I'll keep he toff etc....

@hurryupautumn I do hope with all of this you will at least try and be more informed about what is happening with CV at the moment

Flossie44 · 15/03/2020 20:55

Surely, Coronavirus aside...why would you send them to school with a temp anyway??????

hurryupautumn · 15/03/2020 20:56

@Flossie44 it's been up and down

OP posts:
KeysDontBelongInTheFridge · 15/03/2020 20:58

This is totally the reason schools need to be closed. Parents should have to be put in this position.

@hurryupautumn “The less response you give to rude, critical, argumentative people the more peaceful your life will become”. Seems like an apt quote to use here Smile Xxx

KeysDontBelongInTheFridge · 15/03/2020 20:58

Should not have to*

hurryupautumn · 15/03/2020 20:59

@Flossie44 - I wish they would shut the school and then we would all know where we stand! Anyway she won't be going into school so all fine. X

Still doing the poor little me act and everyone’s so nasty and mean. Grow up.

If you want support because your child might be ill and you’re worried, that’s fine, I’ve got that in bucket loads. I seriously hope they don’t have it and that you are both well but think about why you’ve had the reaction you’ve had. This isn’t just mild flu for many people. A lot of people are very scared

Quarantined · 15/03/2020 21:00

@JinglingHellsBells and @Missarad you both need to educate yourselves. Both your comments here are incorrect. One is more dangerous than the other, but both are wrong.

@Toomuchtrouble4me school actually tell us to send them in with a mild sore throat. Her temperature has been up and down

You said her temp was 38.
Above 37.5 is not a slight temperature, its a fever for a child, you don't send them to school with a sore throat and fever even without this terrible contagious virus.

You're either really really stupid or boringly obtuse.

hurryupautumn · 15/03/2020 21:01

@ThanosSavedMe - I genuinely wasn't sure if I was being OTT. I'm sorry if that offends you so much.
