Run out of toilet roll what can I use?
Starbuck8419 · 14/03/2020 16:52
Someone suggested a sock.
colditz · 14/03/2020 16:53
Wash your arse in the shower with soap and water. Dont forget to sing happy birthday to Boris.
RobynSH · 14/03/2020 16:54
The shower and soap after a poo.
Flannel for wees and throw them into the machine.
Pollyputthepizzaon · 14/03/2020 16:54
Just cut an old towel into squares and then throw them in the washing machine.
champagneandfromage50 · 14/03/2020 16:54
There was plenty of kitchen roll in the supermarkets which was amusing given the toilet paper aisle was empty- anyway face wipes, old newspaper or magazine or just wash it
RB68 · 14/03/2020 16:55
get a bunch of cheap faceclothes and wash daily with laundry sanitizer
Dibdabdobdop · 14/03/2020 16:55
Can't you buy toilet roll? If my house runs out of toilet paper, tissues and there's none left in the shops then I'd use soap and water in the shower to clean after the toilet I think.
Pentium85 · 14/03/2020 16:55
The reusable wipes that I used when DS was a baby.
Use them, hot wash them.
Pretty simple
lavenderhidcote · 14/03/2020 16:56
Buy a cheap flannel and use it for bottom wiping only? Chuck when madness is hopefully over in a few months.
Jobseeker19 · 14/03/2020 16:56
Fill up a jug of water and keep it by the toilet. Pour it with your right hand and use your left hand to clean yourself.
You can also use the shower head.
Namethecat · 14/03/2020 16:57
Cut up old clothes into squares , make up a bucket of water with dilute bleach . Do what you need to do, put cloth square in bleachy water . Boil wash when you have enough . Dry, replace bucket, repeat .

Can't you buy toilet roll?
Oh, to be this oblivious to everything that's going on right now....

Another vote for cutting up an old towel, have a little bin beside loo to pop the squares in. Just wash on a 60 degree wash with some vanish or napisan along with usual detergent.
We’ve got the toddlers cloth wipes on standby to be used by us all if need be.
ChippyMinton · 14/03/2020 16:59
FGS don’t flush kitchen roll, wipes or anything else down the loo. Or you will have worse problems than a lack of toilet paper!
Kmx123 · 14/03/2020 17:01
Jump in the shower
I went to 3 shops looking for some in the end smaller co op had toilet paper pasta ect
Starbuck8419 · 14/03/2020 17:02
Guys, it’s a light hearted thread. I’m not at the stage I need to cut up clothes or drag my arse along the floor like a dog. It was meant to make people smile. But thanks anyway!
Beechview · 14/03/2020 17:04
My in laws were considering using some copies of the Metro newspaper that they’d stockpiled for that specific purpose
