Don’t mistake nettles for dockleaves!

AdaColeman · 14/03/2020 18:18

Get out into the countryside and collect bags of sphagnum moss, as used in ancient times. Environmentally friendly as an extra bonus too!

When I was a child we used newspaper if we ran out..... it was pretty grim tbh 🤢

Some people are seeing the marketing upside of the current situation. Here’s an email I got earlier......

RB68 · 14/03/2020 18:25

someone just posted a great gif of an odd sock basket now parked on the top of the loo...

Joans3rddaughter · 14/03/2020 18:30

I have a pile of Lib Dem leaflets left during the election campaign.

SilverySurfer · 14/03/2020 18:30

Can't you buy toilet roll?

Comment of the week Grin

I agree with those saying don't put kitchen roll down the lo - unless you want a nasty blockage and a hefty bill to shift it. Envy Not envy.

SilverySurfer · 14/03/2020 18:30

loo*

TheGirlWithAPrince · 14/03/2020 18:31

Why on earth would anyone use anything else? Surely you would just wash yourself

Darbs76 · 14/03/2020 18:31

Message a friend or drive round for some

This was still a light hearted joke

Someone on my fb feed said shower your arse while singing happy birthday to Boris

TheFairyCaravan · 14/03/2020 18:37

There's still plenty of toilet roll on the shelves here. It's a bit thin on the ground in Tesco tbf, but you can stock pile buy it from Wilkos, QD, Lidl, Aldi and the Co-Op.

LargeGinOnTap · 14/03/2020 18:37

In the olden days my dad and his family used newspaper. It was one of his chores to cut the paper up into useable squares

SnoozyLou · 14/03/2020 18:42

Guys, it’s a light hearted thread. I’m not at the stage I need to cut up clothes or drag my arse along the floor like a dog. It was meant to make people smile. But thanks anyway!

😆

SnoozyLou · 14/03/2020 18:43

actually have two!!!! 😂😂

That solves it. One for you, one for visitors

PureAlchemy · 14/03/2020 18:45

I heard a bit on the radio the other day where they were talking about using leaves as an alternative.
Can’t remember which they said were best, but they advised avoiding nettles, thistles and other thorny plants - as if the stings and prickles when you were picking them wouldn’t be warning enough!

But just to reiterate pps, if you’re using anything like kitchen roll, baby wipes, newspapers, leafs, bag it and bin it rather than trying to flush it down the toilet.

Starbuck8419 · 14/03/2020 18:46

@SnoozyLou which cat will be the guest ‘towel.’ Ooooh this could be an interesting fight to the death 😂

Shower the shit away

timetest · 14/03/2020 18:48

Both my grandmothers used to cut up newspapers into neat squares and hang them on a hook in the loo. They would have been amazed that people spend good money on something to wipe their arse with.

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 14/03/2020 18:49

I've been eyeing up the very fluffy cat who always follows me to the loo 👀👀👀

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 14/03/2020 18:49

Any swans knocking about?
