@Facingtheunkown

Yep, 7000 Spanish fans - a rough guess of 3,500 to Anfield on Wednesday, same to the Etihad next Tuesday.

Facingtheunkown · 09/03/2020 20:59

The god worm.

I can't see why not.

One person on a bike isn't going to do much?

I can't see why people can't go for walks in the countryside, wood's, beaches...

What I wouldn't do is a play ground. Play park. Play area.

Anywhere where lots of people are.

Or where lots of families go.
I wouldn't go to the cafe when out or eat out..

I cannot fathom however why pretty solitary outings wouldn't be OK.

BigChocFrenzy · 09/03/2020 20:59

Well, let's see the #cases in the NorthWest, 2 weeks after that match
One way to run an experiment I suppose Confused

ShanghaiDiva · 09/03/2020 21:00

@ChardonnaysPetDragon
Nobody is fawning over anything, however the Chinese achieved something nobody thought possible. The WHO has praised the action they took and as a China resident living 280 miles from Wuhan I am more than relieved that people were put before the economy.
This does not negate the fact that there was a cover up at the beginning.
Re wild animal trade - restrictions were brought in two weeks ago. Am sure we can all agree this should have been done after SARS.

usernameishistory · 09/03/2020 21:00

Unfortunately most pandemic planning and modelling seems to be based on flu Confused

ClientQueen · 09/03/2020 21:00

I'm in the NW. brilliant HmmConfused

Facingtheunkown · 09/03/2020 21:00

Hmm it's still going ahead?

TheGodWorm · 09/03/2020 21:01

hoovermyrug yes, in my overactive brain of endless hypotheticals, I'd wondered that too. Maybe I'd just be left there for the magpies to eat.

Speekachu · 09/03/2020 21:01

@ClientQueen

Same here.
I'm supposed to be at one of the games ...

usernameishistory · 09/03/2020 21:01

The legislature was in prep from what I have seen, but this gavrnit the needed push through!

Thank goodness

Doctor in sky news says the Draconian measures in Wuhan were a bad intervention and increased cases.

Is this correct?

GPwife2411 · 09/03/2020 21:03

Just popping in to say I do hope that those of you that ordered hand gel, get it - I and one other person on this thread received our orders, and mine was relatively fast as well, a few weeks ago. The website says current stock 100. They have a landline phone number if anyone did want to enquire: 01704894808, going by the section at the bottom of their site.

BigChocFrenzy · 09/03/2020 21:04

Depends on the rules for the specific lockdown:

Either people are allowed to go out to very small gatherings,
OR
people must stay home 24/7 and are not allowed to go for walks, dog walks, runs, cycles etc

In the case of ordered self-isolation, that certainly means staying home,
at most outside in your own garden, so long as it is not a communal one with neighbours

ShanghaiDiva · 09/03/2020 21:04

The draconian measures no doubt contributed to the fact there have been only 700 cases in my province and no deaths. I live 280 miles from Wuhan.

Hugglespuffed · 09/03/2020 21:05

Whole of Italy on lockdown! Wow

Axlcat · 09/03/2020 21:05

@GPwife2411 am sure we will. Not worried about it - I imagine they are busy!

usernameishistory · 09/03/2020 21:05

We will not conform shanghai. Not without similar consequences Hmm

Facingtheunkown · 09/03/2020 21:05

Big choc, how does going on solitary family walk impact anyone though?

Piggywaspushed · 09/03/2020 21:06

Head teachers and their Boards of Governors will take the ultimate decision to close individual schools temporarily.

This is the government's get out clause for everything in education.

usernameishistory · 09/03/2020 21:07

Isolation is isolation...stay away from others, stay indoors.

Its going to send people bonkers!

OP posts:
CrunchyCarrot · 09/03/2020 21:07

Gosh poor Italy - they're really having a hard time. Sad

Facingtheunkown · 09/03/2020 21:08

Yes but I know where I can walk and stay away from others.

legoqueen · 09/03/2020 21:08

GPwife2411 I'm sure they are overwhelmed with orders...will be good if it comes but if not, no worries

Notonthestairs · 09/03/2020 21:08

What happens if everyone goes on a "solitary" walk? Not quite so solitary.

YouAreTheEggManIAmTheWalrus · 09/03/2020 21:09

This is unprecedented apple.news/AOg4DA3QJSSWngefQi6UkxQ
