How will carrying out "powerful strikes " on Gaza help to get the bodies back?

BN has resumed the attack on Gaza, surely finding bodies is easier when you are not being bombed, shelled, shot at and starved.

How does Hamas faking finding a body when they had it all along fit in with returning the bodies of those they murdered?

Hamas are still fucking about.

Its impossible to come to any other conclusion than that they wish for more death of their own.

Theres no way youre pinning this on Israel.

Hamas are the absolute scum of the earth.

fatcat2007 · 28/10/2025 17:40

they murdered those poor people in a war zone. I don’t think these strikes are going to help the families get their loved ones back, I think it will just result in more dead Palestinians. Netanyahu and his cabinet are at war with Hamas and innocent people on both sides are suffering and dying.

All that is true but ultimately it won't help get the bodies back for the families.

Surely all the crews from Egypt will now have to leave (I know Israel wouldn't allow the Turkish and Qatari in) which will further hamper efforts.

While I understand the need to punish Hamas for this I imagine the only people who will die tonight in these strikes will be civilians.

Exactly. So so awful. More pointless waste of precious life. 😭

It will make Netanyahu appear tough and appease the more radical members of the Israeli government. It will also advance the complete demolition of Gaza to make it uninhabitable.

Indeed. And again, all this has come about because of Hamas' utter disregard of human life.

Everyone with knowledge of the middle east knows that once you bomb the shit out of a region and totally destroy it's government and infrastructure - what you are left with is tribal factions and "warlordism".

It's generally very violent and disorganised.

Imagine if the government, police, prisons, NHS, food supply, utilities were totally destroyed in the UK? Do you think we'd be civilised and organised? Absolutely not, it would be a shit show.

So Israel is simple being disingenuous when it spent 2 years destroying Hamas and then says oh by the way we need you to provide a disaster rescue service, mortuary, morgue and ambulance service to recover particular bodies from the mass of destruction.

Of course it's going to fail!

Thus the strikes will continue, and always were going to.

Hamas had remains that they were supposed to return as a condition of the ceasefire.

Instead they hid those remains and then pretended to find them.

All else is noise.

People will die in the next few hours because of this completely pointless fucking about. Innocent people. More heartbroken families, more homes destroyed, more fear, more hatred. Because Hamas didn't just do what they were supposed to do.

It absolutely didn't have to fail like this. I absolutely hate Hamas.

MissyB1 · 28/10/2025 18:43

It’s just an excuse for Netanyahu and his cronies to start killing Palestinians again. What a surprise 😡

And where is the outrage for the Palestinian families who will never find their loved ones bodies? There will literally be thousands under the rubble - but of course they don’t matter because they are just Palestinian….

Twiglets1 · 28/10/2025 18:47

The ceasefire didn't have to fail.

And I really hope it can be resumed soon but Hamas's actions over still trying to attack IDF soldiers behind the yellow line and delaying the return of the dead hostages shows us once again - as if we needed reminding - that Hamas don't care one jot about the Palestinian people they are supposed to be leading.

Hamas must surely have known an Israeli drone would pick up their antics re the remains of the hostage they buried. It's like they want to reignite the war.

Well they didn’t need to take over 2 years, after a war they started, to return all the body parts of dead hostages they took into their terrorist lair.

The hostages didn’t enter Gaza themselves and ask to be murdered and their bodies held there did they?

My outrage is saved for those innocent civilians about to lose lives they were maybe just starting to rebuild.

Bore off with your ridiculous suggestion that people don't care about Palestinian lives. The ones who dont care about Palestinian lives are Hamas, and once again you've made a whole post without mentioning their fault in this. It's absurd.

Exactly. Hamas could have stuck to the terms of the ceasefire but preferred to play silly games with human remains.

As you say, people will die in the next few hours as a result, the majority will be Palestinian but even this is apparently not enough to make some people say one negative word against Hamas. Like you, I hate them for what they are doing to Palestinians as well as what they would like to be doing to Israelis.

But why does Israel need to drop more bombs? What's the purpose?

This is what I have an issue with.
Why airstrikes? Is there no other action that can be taken?
Two dead so far and two children injured..

I agree in part.

He's showing no regard for Palestinian life.
However, Hamas are Palestinian, and also still showing no respect for Palestinian life.

It isn't actually BN's job to protect Palestinian life. Its Hamas'. BN job is to protect Israeli life.

If I hear someone say on here 'what can we expect they're just terrorists'- and excusing them for this reason I think I might lose my mind.

Hamas just handed BN some more plausible deniabilty. And it'll be Palestinians who suffer.

I'm done for this evening and I hope the ceasefire can restart as soon as possible.

Praying for there to magically be no civilian casualties tonight 🙏

And I will ask you the same question I asked @dairydebris are you or aren’t you supporting the resumption of bombing? If not why not just say this must not happen? It sounds to me like some posters are busy justifying Israel’s decision whilst trying to sound concerned for the people of Gaza. Anyone that truly cares about those people would condemn any plans to restart the killing. No matter what wrong you think Hamas has done now, the idea of more collective punishment must surely be abhorrent to everyone?!

Again, the objective was to destroy and annex Gaza. Do you really think dropping hundreds of bombs is a hostage rescue tactic?

No I'm absolutely 100% not in favour of Israel resuming bombing.

Please do bore off with any of your assumptions about me. I have absolutely no need to justify myself or explain any of my feelings to you.

attichoarder · 28/10/2025 19:22

The awful events of October 7th started this latest conflict, hostages should not have been taken, They should be returned , I don’t understand why this is being denied to the relatives and families.

thingsarelookingupfornigel · 28/10/2025 19:24

Two dead already. And a missile was fired at a refugee camp. Can only hope that Trump hasn’t lost interest and puts pressure on BN to stop it. And let the aid in.

JustSomeRandomOnTheInternet · 28/10/2025 19:24

Wedonttalkaboutboris · 28/10/2025 19:09

Let’s talk facts instead of hyperbole, if Israel had not demonstrated any regard for human life, they wouldn’t have entered into negotiations for the release of thousands of terrorists in return for a few hundred hostages, and conversely they also could have carpet bombed Gaza indiscriminately within a matter of weeks, without risking IDF troops lives on the ground for two years, which would have been evidenced by all virtually all life in Gaza being wiped out by now in such a small densely populated urban area with no bomb shelters or civilian infrastructure not being used as military targets.

I don’t think your statement rather belies facts on the ground.

BelleHathor · 28/10/2025 19:34

Israel has already violated the "ceasefire" numerous times and killed many Palestinians.

Such a coincidence that Netanyahu's trial tomorrow has been shortened by 2.5 hours due to this "security incident".

The last time Netanyahu tried to lie about a Hamas attack it was America (who now has soldiers stationed close to monitor the ceasefire) that revealed that the 2 IDF soldiers were killed after driving over unexploded ordinance.

Interesting times when Gen Z males are increasingly abandoning Trump due to his deference to Israel and unkept promises. Netanyahu is doing more than just bombing Gaza, he's bombing Trump in the upcoming midterms.

How will carrying out "powerful strikes " on Gaza help to get the bodies back?
