Now we have what looks like a peace to be celebrated why are people still going to march for Palestine? The genocide has stopped in their opinion so shouldn't they be at least joyful or if that is not the case what do they really want? Do they want to keep marching until the Israeli state is no more?

No offence but I’m not your mum doing your homework for you
Like I said it’s on other threads
Its been proved
You said you’ve read them so you can’t have missed

Edited

It has not been proven at all.

Where?

They will say the famine was in other areas of Gaza, which rather begs the question of why Gazans living in such close proximity weren’t sharing resources during the war, and what this says about the culture of Palestinians when new cafes named to mock the genocide of Israelis open, while children are dying of starvation a few miles away.

Gaza is smaller than London and there are plenty of vehicles running to distribute food.

Wasn’t that what the UN was supposed to be doing anyway?

Well absolutely. And let me guess these famine stricken areas will never be filmed or photographed and posted on social media? I have never seen crowds of thousands of starving African people dancing and celebrating in such a physical way.

The evidence of starvation I have seen are isolated images of single Palestinians - 20 max - looking very emaciated indeed. Usually babies.

I just cannot square this with the video upthread of tens of thousands of Gazans all jumping for joy energetically looking very healthy and well fed, after allegedly living in famine conditions for the best part of year.

We know Hamas do unspeakable things, I truly wouldn’t put it past them to starve a handful of unfortunate individuals in order to further the ruse.

In every other famine men, women and children all look thin. The nature of famine is people are starving, for months. There is no famine whereby people stay a healthy weight. Why is nobody explaining this?

It has always been a concern of mine, the images of healthy people today reinforced my suspicion.

African people
The whole continent? Or are you referring to anywhere specific? Surely you're not lumping 1.55 billion people together....Careful your prejudice and ignorance is showing

Ethiopia was mentioned earlier today (by me).

The images coming out of there were as we probably all know, what inspired Live Aid. There was never any debate about whether that was a famine or not.

As I was referring to multiple African countries it seemed more colloquial to say ‘African’.

I was asking the poster who said "Africa" not sure why you needed to tell me what you said it is irrelevant to my post

I think they’re unequivocal. No sane person would look at any videos of Gaza and say, ‘that’s a famine hit area’.

I honestly think the web of lies will slowly unfurl over the next 5 or so years and people will be shocked and ashamed at how easily Hamas lead them on.

No, that hamas were stuffing themselves with the little aid getting in while innocent citizens got crumbs, if that.
Bisan a reporter from gaza was discussing the famine while putting on weight.

This. Im very much reminded of the trans movement when people complain about the marches.

Are TRAs really the only comparable group you can think of in this context?
Would you tell any other minority group that they just have to put up with it if they feel attacked and intimidated?

Anything but actually address the suspicious lack of starving and underweight people in Gaza, eh?

FreedomandPeace · 14/10/2025 20:51

Classifying famine means that the most extreme category is triggered when three critical thresholds – extreme food deprivation, acute malnutrition and starvation-related deaths – have been breached. The latest analysis now affirms on the basis of reasonable evidence that these criteria have been met.

Deniers on this thread of famine and lacking complete empathy for that by looking to see if people are thin enough is absolutely disgusting. Then on the same thread they ask for empathy and for people to stop demonstrating
this is too focused on personal feelings and thoughts and shows a lack of respect and empathy for others

No it certainly doesn't look like a famine hit area.

Probably some of the pro Pals have had the same thought but the cognitive dissonance must be hard when they see images of thousands of healthy Palestinians in a "famine" area.

No I am not engaging in that line of questioning I believe the experts in the field and the data that has been presented and supported by the international community. I personally have not seen images of everyone living in Gaza have you?

You are missing completely the pps post

It’s trans attacks on women !
Women aren’t a minority group

The write to your MP
I did when we woke up to flags everywhere
If you want something to change act

Why did you write to your MP about people putting up flags?
Didn’t you say you didn’t want an “authoritarian regime that shuts down our right to demonstrate and our right to free speech”?

Seriously cognitive dissonance! No we choose to trust the experts nothing has come out of Gaza to suggest the opposite.

It’s heartbreaking the way some people are in such denial
There'll never be peace with people in the world with so little understanding and empathy

The irony given how this thread has gone
Its very upsetting but thanks 🙏
