Gaza Flotilla - genuine peace activists or Hamas puppets?

TicklishMauveSquid · 27/09/2025 22:36

It has been reported that these activists have rejected the Italian government and the Vatican's proposal to unload any aid they are carrying in Cyprus, to be transferred peacefully to Gaza.

They seem intent on sailing into a legal blockade in a warzone as a direct provocation to Israel who will be forced to take control of 50 boats and the people on them.

They have made lots of unproven allegations that Israel has attacked their boats which may well be to precursor violent resistance in 'self defence'.

They could be carrying anything, including weapons.

There is quite compelling evidence of Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood connections to this so called humanitarian flotilla, which could be considered perverse in the extreme seeing as Hamas has caused the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Hundreds of Israeli boat owners are being encouraged to counter protest in Navy approved zones (without interfering) as a presence 'a blue and white wall for the hostages'.

What do we think the outcome of this will be with Italian and Spanish Navy vessels in the mix?

This is quite a different situation than the ONE boat in the earlier failed attempt to breach the blockade this year where the 'activists' were peacefully appeased with sandwiches and sent on their way (after refusing to watch footage of Oct 7th).

A campaign of so-called “peaceful solidarity” reveals disturbing ties to designated terrorist organizations.

Must be hundreds of thousands of people starved to death then?

As you know they had to be pressured by other countries(thanks to activists who pressured their governments) to allow some aid back in. Left to themselves they would merrily have kept the block on food going. You never answered the question why do you think they stopped aid to 2 million people when we know it wasn't because Hamas were stealing it?

SpaceRaccoon · 07/10/2025 07:48

Aside from images taken of gravely ill children suffering from serious illnesses that were released during that propaganda push, I've seen NO pictures of underweight or malnourished Gazans. None recently as the current propaganda has all been flotilla related.

Then you weren't looking SpaceRacoon. And those gravely ill children had food and medicine withheld from them by Israel. Why do you think that Israel decided to stop these extremely vulnerable children from having aid, it wasn't because Hamas were stealing it so why? What possible reason could they have for increasing the suffering of these poor vulnerable children and often babies?

Israel facilitated travel abroad for these children, which seems an odd way of genociding them.
Yes it's awful for seriously unwell children to be caught up in a war situation. That's why Hamas needs to go urgently, after bringing that down on their population.

Since there isn't, I'd assume that food is getting in and the distribution is working now.

Clearly they didn't SpaceRacoon or children wouldn't have died from malnutrion.

Denying all aid is now just war is it? Why don't you just answer the question, why did Israel prevent food and medicine from reaching innocent people?

This is why some people are so concerned by this conflict BTW. Because some people are trying to make forced starvation into 'just war', it's not 'just war' it's against international law, the laws that help keep is all safe. Some of us don't want to give up these laws just so a crazy middle eastern country can have a bit more land.

Firstly that is one person out of 500, if we claimed every Israeli was a murderer because of the actions of the IDF and settlers you would loudly rightly object. Just as all Palestinians are not Hamas and all Israelis don’t want to murder Palestinian babies, all the people on the flotilla are not the same person.

Secondly, and importantly, she says someone set up a social media account with her name and picture and posted that to discredit her. If she actually posted that under her own name online it is unlikely she would then say “it wasn’t me”. Given that this happened to a wonderful journalist who was murdered by the IDF, he ended up having 3 accounts with his picture and pro Israel accounts were sharing snapshots of things “he posted” which in fact were from one of the two fake accounts. This makes me question the legitimacy of the tweets. Let us not forget how the IDF also shared video footage of Hamas looting that turned out to be a gang in their employ, they put a lot of effort using social media to give it the old razzle dazzle and manipulate the public.

Is this sarcastic this is exactly what the Israeli govt have done but with more devastating consequences

Not sarcastic, no. The activist was talking about all Israelis (quite a few of whom are Arabs btw), not just about those particular ministers who had previously made similar statements about Palestinians. I wouldn’t have agreed with them either.

SpaceRaccoon · 07/10/2025 08:08

The images of the severely ill child that were published in the media at the time, were taking in I believe Italy, where the child was receiving treatment.

That plus calling Israelis "not human, monsters" makes me not terribly inclined to take her word.

Fake account right...

Yet the UK arrested her as soon as she got back to the UK. She has been charged with offences related to the support of Hamas.

The severely ill child? Just the one was there? Hospitals in Italy have gone down hill since I was in one with my kid with a broken finger last year.

I read how detainees from the marches in Egypt were treated.

Good point. Doesn’t fit the “Israel is uniquely evil” narrative though.

inamarina · 07/10/2025 08:19

SpaceRaccoon · 07/10/2025 00:01

You didn’t read how they were treated then I see.

I read it. I just didn't believe it. I'll take the opinions of Holocaust deniers and their pals with a large pinch of salt.

Didn’t those same people claim they were bombed by an Israeli drone in Tunisian waters, which was later denied by Tunisian authorities?

Wow, having read details of the 'activists' in that list, they are terrorist supporters justification being 'resistance ' ... October 7th was a massive terrorist attack, rapecis nit resistance. They (the people on that list) need locking up.

inamarina · 07/10/2025 08:27

Are you sure she was talking about the entire nation? I think she may just have been referring to the police/guards who dealt with them personally? I don't know though.
I personally abhor antisemitism and would never tar an entire population of a country with the same brush. I was utterly horrified by October 7th, two years ago today. But, am also utterly horrified by the genocide in Gaza and I unequivocally condemn Netanyahu as the criminal he is. The IDF are committing a genocide, and I do think some of them have lost their humanity. They have to have to starve innocents like that.
Those two things are not mutually exclusive at all. I think it's a pretty widespread view - October 7th and antisemitism - horrific, the genocide in Gaza - horrific.
Re the flotilla folk - I see them as very brave and genuine. Obviously there may be some exceptions, but those I've seen interviewed definitely gave no impression of being pro Hamas. Just pro babies being fed etc.

She said “Israelis”, I not going to start guessing what she actually meant.

Oh come on, she is very well known and for a long time. Anyone who follows this subject knows of her & her rabid racism. She has been prosecuted for goodness sake. Anyone with a shed of decency would not be alongside her in any context.

queenofarles · 07/10/2025 08:56

why are posters still denying? We are at stage where there is no denial of the collective punishment used by The Israeli government ,

this Report presented by two Senators just last month clearly states the reality of what is going on there :
Two Democratic senators claim they have reached the “inescapable conclusion” that Israel is acting on a systematic plan to destroy and ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza to force local people to leave, and they say the US is complicit.
Chris Van Hollen of Maryland and Jeff Merkley of Oregon, both members of the Senate foreign relations committee, on Thursday after returning from a congressional delegation to the Middle East where, they note, the destruction goes beyond bombs and bullets. They say they also found a systematic campaign to strangle humanitarian aid, which they call “using food as a weapon of war
The Netanyahu government has gone far beyond targeting Hamas to imposing collective punishment on all the people of GazaVan Hollen said at a Thursday press conference. “What they’re doing, and what we witnessed, is putting those goals into action.
At least one hundred people have died from famine in Gaza, the United Nations said this week

This woman is really something else.
I saw an interview with her where she claimed the female hostages were treated well by Hamas, but one of them was sad and felt ugly because nobody would touch her.
Absolutely despicable.

I read how detainees from the marches in Egypt were treated.

what are you trying to say by using your Taliban example and the example of Egypt?

Are you saying that your expectation of the current israeli government is that they would behave like Egypt or Afghanistan? The Ben- Gvir video is frankly nuts altogether. It’s so openly nuts, that’s what’s surprising.

I think, considering the publicity surrounding the flotilla as well as the strongly worded statements from countries of the participants, that It really shows that the current Israeli administration have zero worries about their international isolation.

Rape denier.

"Gaza Barbie, one of the useful idiots of Greta’s flotilla: "I apologize to the women if they were raped by Hamas but I don't believe it, I don't believe anything from Israel." Does she not believe the literal videos that Hamas live-streamed?"

What an idiot. Hamas must love these stupid people.

A woman saying that about other women. She disgusts me. You will always get those captured and enthralled with terrorists. Something wrong in their thinking skills.
