Whatever you think about Hamas - October 7th was an abomination - but surely it's been enough for some time now?

UK suspends Israel trade talks and summons ambassador over 'intolerable' Gaza offensive

Foreign Secretary David Lammy says Israel's war in Gaza is entering a "dark new phase".

@Whatsinanamehey 💯

I’ve got so much respect for huge swathes of Israeli and Jewish communities worldwide who are speaking up against this. I have good friends who are working with their synagogues to actively support Gaza, and this isn’t happening in isolation. Their humanity and bravery will be remembered

Indeed! I think in amongst the darkness of war, those on both sides who are fighting for peace often get overlooked.

If the Israelis were so good at genocide there would really be no one left to starve so obviously not a genocide

Do you understand what the definition of genocide is? If you did then you wouldn't be making such embarrassing comments.

Yes I do

Yes I do

Clearly you don't if you think there has to be no civilians left alive to constitute a genocide. Google is your friend here.

Terribly interested in what you feel the false narrative of what happened on October 7th is?

You know exactly what I mean so don’t even attempt to suggest I’m denying that 7 October was horrific.

I asked you what the false narrative you referred to was. I'm still interested to hear that? Thats how these internet forum things work isn't it?

Fine, I’ll bite.

Claim of 40 beheaded babies is just one example.

This week there has been protests in Israel by civilians who are protesting against the blockade their government is imposing on Gaza. On the other hand there are Israelis who are protesting that even a minimum amount of aid is being allowed in because they don't think it's necessary.

I think I can guess quite accurately which side a certain poster would be joining if they happened to be in Israel and were given the chance.

We will definitely see them next Tuesday.

Ah OK. I haven't seen anyone refer to that to draw conclusions about Palestinians on here though?

No biggie, as you were.

Odras · 21/05/2025 17:10

@BreezyBertha If there is no starvation in Gaza why did Netanyahu say they would need to let in aid to stop Gaza sinking into famine for diplomatic and practical reasons as their allies would not tolerate images of mass starvation.

Anyway, I don’t know why I bother.

So many people coming out of the woodwork who, under normal circumstances, I would genuinely describe as cunts

Given the conversation I now understand that they do in fact lack the depth or warmth

Carry on making thinly veiled personal attacks towards people who don’t ascribe to your narrative, which is far from fact.

That rather shows your mentality, not mine, and explains why other people, who actually understand what’s going on, don’t bother to post on this board for fear of being demonised in the same way.

ohfourfoxache · 21/05/2025 17:40

Thinly veiled attacks? After some of the utterly inhumane comments on here, other MN threads, and in linked material?

There are some attitudes that are just too evil for words. That’s not a veiled attack at all - that’s overt disgust

ScrollingLeaves · 21/05/2025 23:39

HellsBalls · 20/05/2025 19:00

That’s about 30,000 dead terrorists included in that number.

In Oct 23 we were told there were 20,000 - 30,000 Hamas fighters.

How is it there are still apparently so many left?

Something about Israel’s policy must not be working.

Allthebestgone · 22/05/2025 08:34

If Israel are ethnic cleansing how come over 2m Arabs living and working in Israel?

For the hard of understanding they are referring to ethnic cleansing in GAZA. Netanyahu made a speech yesterday saying Israel will not end the war until they agree to leave Gaza. Those are the ones who haven't been killed yet.

He is always adding on another demand every time they get close to an agreement or even during an agreement.

Not just Hamas as you know if you heard the speech. But for Palestinians to accept Trump's plan. I'm sure you know what that is.

Tbf, the “Trump plan” wasn’t originally his plan. The Israeli government has been floating it for over a year. Biden verbally pretended not to support it. Trump has been openly and honestly supporting it.

Since Oct 2023, only weeks after Oct 7th, Israeli government officials have been calling for mass expulsion of all Palestinians from Gaza.

LoremIpsumCici · 22/05/2025 09:13

There have also been written reports as far back as 17 October 2023 putting forth the plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza:
“On October 17, the Misgav Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy—an Israeli think tank founded and led by former defense and security officials—published a paper urging the Israeli government to take advantage of the “unique and rare opportunity to evacuate the whole Gaza Strip,” and resettle Palestinians in Cairo with the assistance of the Egyptian government. Separately, a leaked document from the Israeli Intelligence Ministry recommended forcibly resettling 2.2 million Palestinians from Gaza in the Northern Sinai and constructing a buffer zone along the Israeli border to prevent their return.”
