Whatever you think about Hamas - October 7th was an abomination - but surely it's been enough for some time now?

I’m glad our Government is finally taking a moral stance on the indiscriminate slaughter of Palestinians by the Israeli state, but why has it taken until now. We have been witnessing the slaughter of far too many for far too long. Also, despite Israel’s claims that “there is no famine in Gaza”, they have been deliberately starving civilians for long enough that children have already been dying of starvation. For those who defend the Israeli line. Are the western doctors working (with very little resources) in Gaza lying?

The atrocities committed by Hammas on Oct 7th, including raping, while box cutting off breasts, shooting in vaginas, then celebrating and videoing and calling home whilst killing to show their families. Where would you rather live as a woman, Israel or Hammas, who do you think treats women with dig and respect? I’m sick of these pro Palestine deluded/indoctrinated nuts bent on death death death, what have they done for Palestine, nothing, the opposite. Educate yourself.

How can any organization have 30,000 members? Hamas are the government! And the Army! And the police force!

They need to be eradicated. Scum of the earth. Israel is doing just that. Hamas do not want peace. Hamas do not care for normal Palestinians. Hamas don’t care how many children die. They care for themselves and their medieval beliefs.

The loss of innocent life is terrible. Aid must be allowed in, but it must be controlled so as not to be taken by Hamas.
But Hamas must be destroyed, entirely. They cannot be allowed to remain, to stay in power. A two state solution is now lost for generations because of October 7th massacre. Fucking idiots.

A two state solution was never on the cards before October 7th. Netanyahu was on record saying that back in 2015. Life would continue under his watch with Gaza and the West Bank as Occupied Territories and the hardship that came with that.

Hamas need to be eradicated there is no denying it.
However to absolve Israel for blame for the war crimes they have committed is short sighted to say the least.

They were estimated to only be 20,000 strong and if 30,000 have been killed and they’re still not defeated, then the majority must have been killed twice?!

That’s why I stay away from that board now. The number of people there supporting the slaughter of Palestinians makes me sick. I actually see more moderate views expressed by Israelis living in Israel now. So many there want the murders to stop and despise Netanyahu.

I doubt Lammy’s views will make any difference. But perhaps it’s the thought that counts…

I’m glad he is speaking up. Previous to him, only Lord Cameron would speak out against the rubble strewn bloodbath and graveyard that is Gaza.

I also feel like our government should have been where they are now a year ago. This hasn’t been self defence in a long time.

It's a cess pit. Before I left there were people justifying mass starvation.

There are so many incredibly brave Israelis who know what is going on, who know how history is going to view them, how everyone is going to be tarred with the same brush (same as post WW2 Germans)

None of my Jewish friends support this. My elderly Jewish neighbor actually told me that he thought the middle east was the place in the world that Jews had historically been treated the best.

I cant understand why UK France and Canada have waited until now to speak out, and they are still selling them weapons Could there be a reason we don't even know about yet? Like the IDF have done something unthinkable, and when it comes out we might be complicit in a war crime or something? It feels off.
