Thanks eyeswideopen these threads are really important, a Palestinian in Gaza asked people who care to not stop talking about Palestine ❤️

Bastards.
I just saw this, the last remaining functioning hospital and some people will still deny its a genocide.

Martymcfly24 · 13/04/2025 09:47

Just saw a report from a Palestinian journalist Anas Al Sharif (must be one of the very few left) reporting on the families with tiny children leaving the area. The bombs dropped mid report, to see the fear in their eyes was heartbreaking.

Yep. It's definitely a genocide. Israel is clearly deliberately destroying the health system in Gaza so the wounded can't get treatment.

10UsernamesNotAvailableTryAnotherOne · 13/04/2025 10:31

There was no rocket been intercepted in the vicinity and it was been filmed by multiple people. There's no arguing that the IDF didn't bomb the hospital this time.

They admitted they did bomb the hospital. Absolutely shameless.

I wouldn't expect anything less from the most immoral army in the world.

Martymcfly24 · 13/04/2025 11:06

I think the way Netanyahu's meeting with Trump was very quiet in general in the media has given him renewed confidence to up the ante as he knows he is above the law. I would expect to see huge casualties in the coming days as he continues his mission to either massacre a majority of Gazans or make it so unliveable they will use his Immigration Directive Department to all flee .

I honestly don't know what to do. I want this stopped.

Israeli air strike hits Gaza hospital

The al-Ahli Arab Baptist Hospital* *was hit by multiple missiles, the Hamas-run health ministry said, adding hundreds of patients, medical personnel, and their companions were on site at the time of the attack.

It said the Israeli army had targeted what it described as "one of the oldest and most vital healthcare institutions operating in the Gaza* *Strip".
One patient died during the evacuation as medical staff were unable to provide urgent care, it said. No other casualties have been reported.

The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said they "struck a command and control centre used by Hamas" in the hospital.
"The compound was used by Hamas terrorists to plan and execute terror attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops," they said in a statement.
"Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians or to the hospital compound, including issuing advanced warnings in the area of the terror infrastructure, the use of precise munitions, and aerial surveillance.
"The Hamas terrorist organisation systematically violates international law while using civilian infrastructure, brutally exploiting the civilian population as a human shield for its terrorist activities."

The health facility's director, Dr Fadel Naim, said they were warned of the attack beforehand.

Israel 'seize' more than 50% of Gaza.

https://www.npr.org/2025/04/14/g-s1-59633/gaza-buffer-zone-israel-military

Israeli newspaper Haaretz notes this expansive zone being carved out in southern Gaza covers an area that's roughly 29 square miles. The newspaper reports Israeli officials have not yet decided whether the entire area will be designated a buffer zone that's off-limits to civilians, like other parts of Gaza, or whether it will be fully leveled to the ground with the entire city of Rafah wiped out.

This is just crazy. Israel haven't decided yet whether they will steal the land or if they will just level everyone's homes and business and schools and medical facilities to the ground. What's it called when you forcibly remove people of a certain ethnicity or religion from their land again?

In addition to expanding its buffer zones, Israel's military is dividing Gaza through two corridors. During most of the war it had isolated northern Gaza and Gaza City from the rest of the territory with the Netzarim corridor.

So in addition to stealing land they are splitting Gaza in 2 to make sure they have complete control over Palestinians this is on top of isolating them from Egypt to make sure they have no escape from this control. You wouldn't expect Palestinians to have self determination anyway, that sounds too much like basic human rights and what have they done to deserve to be treated like everyone else?

Remember it was never about land, it's just a coincidence that the democratically elected government of Israel have spent decades stealing land in the West Bank and a coincidence that they now are rampantly stealing more in multiple territories. Has no bright spark in Israel realised that you can have 'buffer zones' on your own land and don't need to steal Palestinian, Syrian and Lebanese land? Oh wait then you wouldn't be able to take tourists on jolly little trips to show off the beauty of your freshly stolen land would you. It's definitely not about land though 😳

Israeli military organises tourist tours of newly occupied Syrian territory

Twice-daily hiking trips for civilians in Golan buffer zone recently seized by Israel sold out almost immediately

I think the most immoral army in the world is the one that attacked Israel on October 7th and started this awful war.

OhCalmTheFuckDownMargaret · 15/04/2025 11:03

So far no evidence has ever been produced to substantiate the claims hospitals are being used as command centres by Hamas. The only proof being put forward appears to be 'because Israel says so'.

Hamas use hospitals as bases. Recently one brave doctor in Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis spoke up against Hamas doing this.

if people genuinely cared about gazans they would speak up against Hamas instead of all this anti Israel hate.

Exactly they started it by kidnapping all those people Israel are just paying them back maybe if they let the hostages go none of this would have continued

Israel is a murderous, fascist state whose leader is a wanted war criminal. Considering how many Palestinians Israel murders every single day, this thread is more than needed to discuss that.

Whatsinanamehey · 15/04/2025 13:35

Israel bombed the entrance of the Kuwaiti field hospital just a few hours ago, killing a medic and wounding others. This hospital is in mawasi which is barren land turned into a tent city for displaced civilians. They leave no stone unturned to inflict as much pain as they can on the Palestinians.

I listened to an Irish Doctor who has just got back from working in Nassar hospital being interviewed on channel 4 news last night. He was asked if there was any sign of hamas being there, I totally related to his answer "at one time having an Irish accent was enough to make you a member of the IRA!" He also correctly pointed out that even if (in the imagination of the IDF) there was a terrorist in the hospital you still don't bomb healthcare facilities, as per the Rome statute of 1998.

Israel consider themselves above international law. Such arrogance is evil.

BelleHathor · 15/04/2025 14:04

It's been a bad week for the "But Hamas started everything...." and "Israel has a right to defend itself" group. They've received a large dose of reality about how the public really feel about attempting to justify dropping 2000 pound bombs on tents, from both the left and right Worldwide.

Douglas Murray who received an award last year in Israel from president Isaac Herzog for being a good friend to Israel appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast to debate comedian Dave Smith.

Murray in a condescending tone attempted to lecture both Rogan and Smith on not being expert enough to talk about the atrocities being carried out in Palestine.

The comments on the video and across social media reacted negatively to Murray who used strawman arguments to defend atrocities (much like elsewhere). I thank him for introducing millions of Rogan listeners who didn't know about what was happening to researching more. Like him or not Rogan often talks about how he can't watch anymore videos of the atrocities being committed as it's too upsetting.

I don't feel sorry for this chief Neocon Murray who has played a large part in pushing racist Islamaphobic tropes in order to justify intervention in West Asia.

The current method doesn't appear to be getting any hostages released.
