I really do. Like I said in my first post, I have a boy who I think is a similar age to what the youngest in that poor family would be now. I read the story minutes after I put him to bed and it hit me like a train.

Whatever your opinion on who is right/wrong or who started it this is absolutely awful and I hope the family at least get some closure

I can't help but wonder if there will be another cruel mind game, e.g. the coffins being empty or the remains having been cremated.

I've seen a video online of Ariel being introduced to his baby brother for the first time and it is now so heartbreaking.

Let's not forget that it looked to be Palestinian civilians who kidnapped this family. The mob probably killed them straight away.

There will be a forensic examination so it's probably best not to speculate.

I would also add that in the midst of a 'genocide' and 'ethnic cleansing' Hamas seems to have impressive access to printing services.

The coffins were x-rayed before the ceremony began (the chief rabbi of the army read mourning prayers before they returned to Israel) in order to check there were no tricks or booby traps, so I imagine that things at least appeared to be in order. However much Hamas are sadistic and cruel, I don't think they want to torpedo the continuation of the deal.

It’s the fact that this had to be done though - that it was within the realm of possibility they would booby trap the coffins of toddlers they murdered - that tells you everything you need to know about Hamas though. Utter scum.
