just going to leave this here....

if you have nothing compassionate to say, feel free to move on and not comment on this thread. feel sick to my stomach

Video showing Palestinian man strapped to front of jeep

The Israeli military says the man was a suspect in a raid in the West Bank, but its forces violated protocol.

I have no wish to engage with someone with 0 compassion.

Well you started the thread. Did you not expect engagement or were you just "leaving a picture" here, to invoke an IDF pile on?

pandasorous · 23/06/2024 09:58

I'm going to hide this thread from my feed now and not come back to comment

I posted it so we can feel compassion for the huge suffering this conflict has caused

but usual idf apologists have flooded the thread with their disgusting whataboutery and excuses.

I'm so so tired of bullshit excuses. of lies. mostly of people lying to themselves. the people coming onto any threads that express support or compassion to palestinians to express hate or blame the victims.

please do some reading. read about how Israeli military hospitals are treating Palestinian prisoners. read about the real history not some made up bullshit. genuinely open your eyes. and think... if your first response to a photo of a bleeding man strapped to a military vehicle (tank?) is not compassion - why is that?

if you have purposefully come on this thread to derail it... to express hate towards those who call for a free palestine... why is that? just imagine for a moment, genuinely that was your brother or father. or imagine you lost a child to Israeli bombs, that you were born on the wrong side of the divide. I don't believe in reincarnation. but would be pretty good if everyone came back as whatever group they have been most hateful towards and then just before the end remember their past life.

This is not how you transport a wounded enemy for treatment.

it is right that they are being investigated.

however, lets not lose sight of what they were doing, which was transport a wounded enemy for treatment

I will tell my dad then that he did it all wrong when being bombed and shot at.

Your last comment really does you no favours.

cheshirecatsmile · 23/06/2024 10:01

@pandasorous
😂😂😂😂😂
I do have compassion
Just not for terrorists 🤷🏻‍♀️
If that makes me a bad person so be it

Nouvellenovel · 23/06/2024 10:07

@pandasorous I deplore the brutality on both sides of the conflict.

But telling Jews, many of whose family were wiped out in a holocaust, to imagine what it feels like to be on the other side.
My god you need to think before you speak.

Mellowdramadrama · 23/06/2024 10:11

Livelovebehappy · 23/06/2024 09:54

Not at all. Just making the point it's not just Hamas who celebrate Israeli deaths this way, but also some Palestinians in general who encourage the actions of Hamas. Everything Hamas do is supported by their 'people'. Never seen anything to the contrary.

What does that have to do with the thread? A simple yes it's awful but glad it's being investigated is what would be a normal response. Can't you see that your instant response was to excuse and deflect.

Notaflippinclue · 23/06/2024 10:11

The Israeli girls chucked on the back of trucks mutilated and raped would have probably been grateful for that treatment - just saying

So you think this is justified?
Why can't both things be a disgrace?

cheshirecatsmile · 23/06/2024 10:18

Maybe because they were raped, beaten, had ankles cut, seen their friends suffer the same fate but burnt alive.
So yeah I too would of been grateful

Which was exactly my response up thread, but apparently it actually wasn't good enough.

It wasn't @Livelovebehappy's response to whom I was responding to.

You do know this didn't take place in Gaza?

People are actually defending this! This is a very disturbing thread.

Nice placement of the Star of David in that 'cartoon'

"I have no wish to engage with someone with 0 compassion."

They took him to hospital FFS - is that not compassion?

At least he wasn't thrown in the back of a pick up and spat on by ordinary Israeli civilian children.

cheshirecatsmile · 23/06/2024 11:02

@Mellowdramadrama
It was and still is

Eventually. After withholding medical attention initially and driving around with him strapped onto a vehicle for no reason whatsoever.

I'm certainly not defending the photos of the injured man of everything the IDF do.
What I am fed up with though is the complete selective outrage that people on MN seem to have. Going from the threads I am continually seeing on here I suspect that many posters on here are extremely naive, seem to believe every single thing Hamas say, that the Israeli's are not to be believed in any way and that quite frankly, if Hamas had their way and pushed the Israeli's out it wouldn't matter a damn to them.
I hope this horrendous war stops as soon as possible.

No, it didn't take place in Gaza. I'm not sure why that is difficult to comprehend.

That's interesting. I find on these boards that those who could be broadly referred to as pro-Palestinian often condemn Hamas and sympathise with Israeli casualties. I find it very unusual for those who could be broadly described as pro-Israeli to do the same. Have a look at my thread crested yesterday about over 40 people being killed in recent days in Shati and Tuffah for example.

I don't believe everything Hamas says and I don't believe everything the IDF says either because they're constantly lying so it would be quite stupid to believe them given their record.

ConnieCounter · 23/06/2024 11:21

Typo above, crested should be created.
