Video showing Palestinian man strapped to front of jeep

Israeli army strapped wounded Palestinian to jeep

The Israeli military says the man was a suspect in a raid in the West Bank, but its forces violated protocol.

Absolutely sickening. When will this end 😢 and world leaders continue watching and doing nothing.

How many international laws has Israel broken? Last count it was something like 65. This country went to war with Iraq for breaking 2.

EasterIssland · 23/06/2024 07:31

Two things to add
they ignored the ambulance of the picture
this wasn’t in Gaza but West Bank

somewhereovertherain · 23/06/2024 07:31

Isreal is the problem here again and again. And our government and opposition are complict in this.

Not at all. It’s a message to those that will come here and say “they are at war, these are things that happen at war”. No they are not at war despite Israel behaves as if they were.

pandasorous · 23/06/2024 07:33

this just hit different
I have avoided seeing any images of atrocities because I just can't handle it.

it's a different level of brutality

This story is horrendous. Your second comment is stupid and offensive.

I don't think anyone has said that, have they? Its clearly not acceptable. As the IDF have acknowledged, saying such behaviour doesn't conform to their values and it will be investigated.

Edited

so far the IDFs record of investigating and convitcting atrocities committed by its troops doesn't leave much hope though

Here we go

Yup. Reported. Hopefully blatant antisemitism will be deleted.

cheshirecatsmile · 23/06/2024 09:18

Report myself as well.
Disgusting comment.

Maybe they need to understand what Hamas are. What Hamas have done and how Israel is being bombed and Israeli people are displaced
But that doesn't fit the narrative

Mellowdramadrama · 23/06/2024 09:23

That is sick! And I strongly believe the only reason the IDF would have made a statement to say it doesn't conform etc etc is after the footage was widely circulated and recieved harsh criticism on SM.
These sort of stunts they pull against the Palestinians is nothing new or rare.

Livelovebehappy · 23/06/2024 09:31

At least they were taking him for treatment. Had thst been reverse, the wounded Iseaeli would probably have been tortured, murdered and paraded through the streets of Gaza to applause.

It's always amazing when Hamas is used as a yardstick for morality. Clearly your expectations for the IDF are very very low.

How dare you say anything positive about the IDF

How do you think they also move wounded in combat
During any war including ww2.
It's also quicker to get help then ambulance sometimes
Making a molehill out of nothing and more IDF bashing

..don't forget, the body would also be spat on.

malachitegreen · 23/06/2024 09:39

This is not how you transport a wounded enemy for treatment.

it is right that they are being investigated.

however, lets not lose sight of what they were doing, which was transport a wounded enemy for treatment

Hoppinggreen · 23/06/2024 09:42

Yeah but Hammas
Or whatever other bullshit people want to use to defend this.
Of course Hammas are evil bastards but Israel (and their supporters) like to claim/believe they are better
They aren't

Seeing as you believe one side is far superior in morals and actions. The New York Times has disclosed sadistic methods used by Israeli forces including raping and torturing defenseless Palestinian detainees brought in from the Gaza Strip. The report is the result of a three-month investigation, the paper said, revealing that Gazan detainees held at Israel’s Sde Teiman detention facility had been subjected to gruesome acts of abuse, torture, and mistreatment. It is based on interviews since October 7 with former detainees, Israeli military officers, doctors, and soldiers who served at the prison facility. The Times drew a harrowing picture of some 4,000 Palestinian inmates, many of whom died in custody, due to the inhuman condition created at the Sde Teiman prison. The report revealed that the Israelis had used cruel techniques against Palestinian detainees, including rape and sexual abuse. One Palestinian nurse, Muhammad Al-Hamlawi, recounted how a brutal Israeli female interrogator ordered two soldiers to lift him in the air and press his rectum down against a metal stick fixed to the ground. The penetrating stick wounded his rectum, causing it to bleed and leaving the Palestinian male detainee in “unbearable pain.”

Not at all. Just making the point it's not just Hamas who celebrate Israeli deaths this way, but also some Palestinians in general who encourage the actions of Hamas. Everything Hamas do is supported by their 'people'. Never seen anything to the contrary.
