Can we seriously look at the impact of anti semitism now?

I've seen and reported that sort of thing on here. Definitely the Jews did 9/11 one, that was over a few posts where they hinted that they couldn't say who really did 9/11 because it would be deleted but it definitely wasn't bin Laden etc etc.

Wow - some properly crazy people out there . It’s horrible to hear about the reemergence of anti semitism alongside the poisonous conspiracy stuff.

Yes there was definitely a brief spell of support for Bin Laden on here, the poster banging on about caves or something.

During Covid there were MN posts that it was the Jews trying to control the population via microchips in the vaccine and memorably something about trying to turn us into robots and something about a Jewish sex cult running the world.

Before Covid MN was full of the ‘Israel lobby’ paying everyone to undermine Corbyn and pretend that Labour was riddled with antisemitism while on social media you could see Jewish MPs targeted, the Holocaust denied, absolutely vile stuff coming from accounts of Labour members and even MPs.

Antisemitism has always been around on MN.

I’m not sure you understand - racists often don’t say “I’m racist” out loud but say enough to make it clear they are racist.

An example would be bringing Israel into discussion on a thread about British Jews.

Some people try for plausible deniability. But people who know, know.

Not talking about these boards specifically here but society in general, anti semitism is similar to racism and islamophobia and other hatreds. So even the most vile racist or anti semetic person knows that they can no longer shout racial/anti semetic slurs at people in the street...so its usually done much more subtly. This isn't difficult to understand is it?

Of course. I've also been a victim of 'subtle' racism many times. However I've been accused of stuff on this board because people read into my words something that was not there. You can't presume everyone is full of hate, when actually most people aren't.

I wasn’t actually talking about a specific thread - but I’ll give an actual example so you can perhaps understand. Bringing Israel into a thread about antisemitic comments Diane Abbott made. That really happened the other day. Israel was never mentioned and then someone commented that they found it offensive that children were being carpet bombed.

Im sick of the MN posts from many posters of “Oh gosh all I did was say I supported Palestine and I’m suddenly accused of antisemitism”. Not mentioning the very antisemitic comments they DID make

Honestly not got a fucking clue what happened in a thread I didn't see. You throw the accusation around quite a bit... so I've no idea. It's not on me, nothing to do with me and is an entirely different thread so I'm not sure why you're trying to make me either support you or not. I've no reason to believe you. I've no reason to not believe you!
