Israeli entry in Eurovision song contest is likely to be a song called 'October Rain' sung by trans-identifying 'Eden 'Golan'.

My previous thread was deleted for pointing this out.

ebu hasn’t uploaded tonight’s video from Portugal but from a previous day

Bambie had ceasefire written on the face today. Also shouted “love always triumphs hate. “ at the end of their performance

Iolanda from Portugal has a Keffiyeh and other Palestinian symbols on her nails.

Not today @EasterIssland according to the news anyway. They had it written on their face in Ogham and were ordered change it which is why they didn’t make the dress rehearsal. I wonder who read Ogham . They must have had all eyes out for hidden symbols!

@EasterIssland - ha ha well I honestly don’t know. Because I definitely don’t read Ogham. There isn’t much news about it - probably scrambling to find an ancient language expert!

Well done to Switzerland, well-deserved! Although would've liked Finland to win

Dulra · 11/05/2024 23:49

Switzerland has the oldest policy of military neutrality in the world

Peace triumphs. Well done Switzerland xx

Oganesson118 · 11/05/2024 23:50

So the UK gave Israel 12 in the televote. Thats very interesting!

Scirocco · 11/05/2024 23:50

Congratulations Switzerland.

Yes. It’s odd that we didn’t have a slot giving the 12 point result like every other country did?

Are you mixing up the jury and televotes

mollyfolk · 12/05/2024 00:05

Well deserved to Switzerland I think. Catchy song, sung well, very fun - peak Eurovision. Croatia were great too. Very exciting public vote.

And nothing mad happened - which was good because I thought there might be some drama.

We did. Joanna Lumley read it out. That was only jury vote though.

Crown the watermelon - that plushy had more talent than she had - and I write as an Irish person

I'm sure there will be cries of "fix" but it's closer to reality for most people outside pro Palestine bubble i would guess.

Anybody, who is intolerant of political opinions, if they are on the right, would be called the F word. Do the left wing think they are above criticism? To boo a young woman is just bullying.

I think the pro Palestinian lobby are very vocal but actually a lot of people silently support Israel.

Probably the same people, who are fed up with being guilt tripped on their support for Israel. As adults, they are perfectly entitled to their opinions.
