Rest in peace little Hind. Such a pointless death, to add to the tens of thousands of other utterly pointless deaths in this most recent war.

OP is making it sound as though you have proof Israel killed her though, and did so with intent. Where did you get that proof from? No one else seems to have access to it.

Go on to the BBC website with the article of Hind being found dead (because being found dead is not as bad as being killed). They have it on there. They use the words "they appear to have come under fire from Israeli tanks." I only point you to them because the BBC have been the biggest genocidal deniers in this Israeli massacre since October. So if they say it, surely there's something in it.

WindsChange · 10/02/2024 22:56

Someone like you? What does that mean?

You clearly have a very poor understanding of Middle Eastern history if you think it’s a fact that this started in October 7th.

Maybe you should learn about 1947, the creation of Israel, Al Nakba, 1948 war, 1967 war, the continuing occupation of Gaza and the severe restrictions on rights on Palestinian people, the continuous attacks on Palestinians, the illegal settlements. So much you don’t understand when you loudly tell us this started in October 7th 2923.

I didn't realise the history of the area only started as recently as 1947! Fascinating stuff.

I guess I just didn't realise that tanks fired bullets

Yes, a quick Google search tells me that tanks can fire a range of different projectiles.

Yes but none of those projectiles appear to be bullets according to my own googling. It's almost like "a quick Google search" isn't necessarily going to provide an accurate answer.

Don't forget what started it. It would end m right now if Hamms released the hostages.

Israel left Gaza to their own devices and look what Hamas did

Hamas lied to their people in the elections about a peaceful solution

Why is Hamas not releasing the hostages?

Why is next door, Egypt not letting people into Egypt?

What is going on is wrong, but we must never forget what started it and Isareli hostages till held

"But they started it"

Is that all it takes for you to shrug off the killing of a small child and the people who went to rescue her?

International diplomacy usually requires a little more maturity and awareness of history.

And why are you demanding that Egypt open the Rafah border? Are you a fan of ethnic cleansing?

When the Israeli government claim that Hamas have crossed that border with Palestinian refugees will you defend Israel launching airstrikes on the Sinai Peninsula?

Why does the destruction of Hamas necessitate the starvation of Palestinian civilians?

The suffering inflicted on civilians in Gaza is indefensible, "they started it" is a pathetic justification.

How is this relevant to Israeli soldiers firing on a 6 year old girl and the ambulancemen who have come to rescue her? Sure, maybe it wouldn't have happened but for what Hamas has done, but it contributes not one iota to recovering the hostages - all it does is make enemies of many more Palestinians.

I’m not convinced* *Netanyahu is all that bothered about the hostages. So no, I don’t think it would necessarily.

Very sad, though also possibly fabricated Hamas propaganda.
If only Hamas would return the hostages, dead and alive, and lay down their arms this awful business could stop forthwith.
As it is, Israel's campaign to exterminate Hamas will continue, regardless of what the 'international community' says.

Israels’s campaign to exterminate Hamas? Or the Palestinian people… I think we are seeing the answer unfold on a daily basis.

"Release the hostages??? IDF murdered them on Oct 7th!"

So how come there were a series of prisoner/hostage swaps since that date. The hostages released didn't look dead to me !

You post makes no sense. 🤔

Honestly there's no point arguing with this lot. Bloodthirsty and self righteous, and looking for any excuse to repeat themselves.

This is something that seems to not be understood by many.... If they were then Israeli forces wouldn't have been busy blowing everywhere up.

Instead it is used as an excuse to attempt justifying ethnic cleansing, starving an entire population and causing horrors upon horrors

Agreed. It is always the same old that is repeated along with attempts of nonstop rerailing. No idea why anyone would want to be trying to defend a genocide but here we are.

I suppose as long as it seems far away to them it is okay.

BackandForthRoundandRound · 11/02/2024 06:59

Absolutely heartbreaking what happened to Rind. Link for the remains of the ambulance sent to rescue her which was bombed by the Israeli Occupation https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3Ku7qdrCrP/?igsh=MXBhNm0zbzF5cXA1eg==

Do the “Hamas could end this now” crowd literally chop and paste? This has never been about the hostages, this has never been about what happened on 7/10; Netanyahu is clear this is about total victory. Now if you don’t want to listen to us listen to Israel’s leader.

Newbutoldfather · 11/02/2024 07:09

I say, with a heavy heart, and as someone whose grandparents escaped the Nazis by coming to the UK before the war, that Netanyahu and his kleptocratic war mongers do not represent me in any way.

He has said that he wants to finish Hamas, a goal I agree with, but I am increasingly thinking this means razing Gaza to the ground and making it uninhabitable for years to come. At this rate, it would have been kinder to just nuke it.

We are allowing Israel to do things that no civilised country has done in war since the end of WW2, and that we call Russia war criminals for doing. So many videos posted by IDF are vile and Israel just responds with the stock line that it is an ‘isolated incident and not in line with IDF values’, when clearly it is far from isolated.

I do think that Israel is in an unenviable position and the Hamas attack was their 9/11 and they have every right to respond aggressively. However, they are a democracy with a powerful army and one of the best intelligence services in the world, as well as receiving intelligence from U.S listening and satellites. They can do better than wholesale indiscriminate destruction. And dropping leaflets first, pushing families into tinier and tinier slivers of land with no food or sanitation, does not ameliorate this.

The treatment of POWs is often what distinguishes decent and disciplined armies from murderous rabble.

I think Israel is getting very close to the line where they will lose international and even U.S support. They need to urgently remove Netanyahu and anyone who has made comments supporting the elimination of the Palestinian people and start engaging with the World in finding a long term two state solution.

When asked about certain things that Netanyahu and his cronies have said, it is usually met with silence or another wild claim regarding Hamas.

All the proof is there yet some still decide to continue down the path that they are on.

TinkerTiger · 11/02/2024 07:16

It didn’t start in October 2023 though, did it. It’s not been about the hostages for months now

Some people just don't want to hear this.
