Hamas planned attacks on Jewish people in Europe

Have seen in the news - I suspect it’s the tip of the iceberg and absolutely terrifying for Jewish people everywhere. Hamas need to be stopped, hopefully this helps to reinforce that they are a terrorist group and not some romantic notion about being ‘freedom fighters’

Many of us have been saying this for months. Hamas is dangerous to Israelis, Palestinians, and Jews across the globe. They are not fighting for freedom, they are fighting for a twisted extremist religious ideology.

Any one who believes they are anything but terrorists have extreme biases. Hamas being freedom fighters is a ridiculous notion.

It's quite telling that those who (rightfully) criticize the ultra-right Israeli government don't also speak out about the evils of Hamas on this board. Hamas are quite frankly just as much to blame for the suffering and deaths of thousands of innocent Palestinians, yet no calls for ceasefire or peace is addressed to them.

This is why the US, UK, France and Canada came out in immediate support of Israel’s right to defend themselves. Each of these countries have large Jewish populations and I suspect there was an immediate fear this would escalate against their own Jewish citizens..

Yes. There are lots of terrorist groups that would love to impose their idea of living on the rest of us. Women are often at the bottom of the pile, kept pregnant with large number of children, as in Gaza, in some terrorist groups wanting women and girls fully covered and no education.

Hamas's founding documents from 1987 said explicitly they want to kill all Jews.
They want a world-wide jihad formed in their own idea of Islam. Anyone who does not adhere- no matter what religion - is the enemy and a target. They have said that the atrocities committed on October 7 were just the warm up act.

People seem to gloss over how they use children in anyway they can. Thousands of Hamas terrorists hiding like rats in tunnels and behind their children. Not men at all cowards of the worst kind.

Yes, I agree, I'm not in the uk but I've been amazed at what people around me refuse to see.

The use of children and babies as human shields is disgusting. If they actually believed that their God would save and praise them for their actions, they would stand up and fight instead of hiding like cowards and targeting civilians.

Good point. Instead of hiding behind children like the cowards they are with leaders running off to live rich lives in others countries on the aid package.

Does anyone have information on attacks carried out outside of Israel and the Occupied Territories by Hamas? I'd be interested in learning the history of this.

Maybe not referred to as fluffy, but certainly excused for their actions because they were oppressed, it’s a resistance movement, their land was stolen, etc., etc.

@Toothyfruity I haven't seen any claims that the IDF had used human shields. If they have, then certainly I condemn it as well.

@ChalkWitch Israel have been defending themselves against attacks since it's formation in 1948. Before that, vast numbers of it's citizens from all over Europe and the Middle East were oppressed and targeted for centuries (actually, millennia). Their land was initially stolen, as they were originally from the land that is now recognized as Israel. That doesn't mean Palestinians haven't been oppressed (certainly moreso recently). Both sides have valid arguments.

I don't understand why the world leaders have not said ENOUGH, we are sending in a coalition of troops to flush out Hamas and where possible, bring them to trial in The Hague. Then send in a coalition of peacekeepers to manage the transition of whatever comes next for Israel, and Palestine, preferably a 2-state solution.

Surely this is better than WW3, a religious war that this has the potential to kick off.

Any reliable sources for IDF using children as human shields? And also, what's the relevance of that to the topic at hand? Surely even you can agree that Hamas spreading their hatred worldwide is an awful thing to be happening? And that it indicates it is not just Israel they're after, it's Jews in general? And if you disagree with that, then please explain why.
