According to the Israeli PM. Do you believe this? And if you do, what's your background in geopolitics, level of education and religious belief. Does Hamas = Isis? Or are Hamas the equivalent of the mafia?

As much as I abhor the bombing in Gaza, is this realistic, that we protest and hope that we are not next?

And is the deterioration of western, Christian values a result of our vulnerabilities? Israel attacked, and Russia and China muscling us up on that and have taken their chances because we, the west, ARE weak. ??

I think Hamas and other groups want a Palestinian state as agreed many years ago and an end to apartheid in Palestine. I don't think they have any interest in Europe or America and I'm frankly baffled at the question.

People need to think about why our government and other western democracies are calling for a pause and not a ceasefire. No one wants to see innocent civilians killed but they also want to retain the right to defend themselves against the terrorist threat to western values and lives. It is an uncomfortable truth.

There are constant Jihadi attacks all over the world which don’t involve Jews (and obviously many that do) . Particularly in Africa. These get nothing like the international coverage should.

My Western democracy is calling for a ceasefire because we have no skin in the game. We don't sell arms to Israel, we don't do war, we're never going to have control over oil we are too small for that, we don't need to own a country in the Middle East. The same can't be said about others that are backing Israel. The only way these countries can get their population to back what is looking like an attempted genocide is by scaring them with the bogeyman. It's an uncomfortable truth.

If you live in a western democracy I suggest you subscribe to its ideals.

Sorry, but "humanitarian pauses" ... just think it through to its logical conclusion ... are just the most cynical thing imaginable!

What it boils down to is: "let us feed and water these people so that they can die of the bombing rather than of dehydration --- mostly because: maybe we will feel less guilty if we get to say but we gave them food and water, how sad that they were killed".

"Humanitarian pauses" are cynical and self-serving to the max! If you are willing to come out and say "I think any number of civilian fatalities is okay", then ... just come out and say so!

He says this for the not very bright American audience and a justification for the current genocide. Unfortunately they’re are plenty thick enough to believe it and believe Hamas taking over the world is remotely possible. It is far more like once Israel has taken the whole of historic Palestine they will want to expand their borders further.

It is perfectly obvious that Hamas is not capable of taking over the entire world. It is also perfectly obvious that their aim is to continue to carry out murderous attacks on Jews wherever possible. It is also obvious that given the opportunity they would carry out murderous terrorist attacks on other western targets.

All I said was that ISIS and Israel have much in common and both want to wipe people from the map. The video I posted shows current Israeli leaders declaring their territorial ambitions, and Israel is currently wiping Gaza off the map. So what is your objection to what I've said, @Louloulouenna ?

I have a legal background, lived in Israel for one year. Worked for an Israeli human rights organization documenting human rights abuses. Spent equal time between OPT and Israel. Have been back numerous times, last time was earlier this year.

According to their charter, Hamas is a local organization, confined to Palestine. They have not said they want to kill all Jews, that they want world domination or that UK will be next. . All of this is Israeli and Western propaganda. They did say that their fight is not against Jews because of the religion, but against the Zionists.
Regarding the UK and its "deteriorating Christian values" - what even are these? Stoning to death, eye for eye, women covering the head for prayer, men as the leaders of the household? These are all Old Testament rules. Only 46% of UK population identifies as Christian, and that figure falls every census, with more identifying as "no religion" (last figure was 37%). Churches all over are increasingly being put up for sale as they no longer have a sustainable congregation.
I think the West are afraid of/threatened by Muslims in general and as a result scaremonger and falsely conflate them with terrorism. Only a small % of terrorist attacks worldwide are 'Islamic' yet the average Westerner probably believes the opposite due to government rhetoric. The UKs PREVENT counter terrorism policy was shown to be deeply flawed and focused on Muslim threat, whilst right wing threat was largely ignored.

After following the conflict for more than a month now , Its pretty obvious the majority's perception was mostly shrouded by a one sided media narrative.
For example the number of comments I read on SM about people not knowing that a christian community exists in Gaza , Or young women are not forced to cover their heads , , enrollment in higher education is one of the highest in the world,
and when families began moving south and were seen with their pets and belongings , it’s like people realised these are normal people with hobbies and Interests, it really felt like an awakening , Palestinians and Gazans specially were dehumanised for the longest time. We all heard the stories about Human shields and mothers wanting their babies to be killed for the sake of martyrdom etc,

Thing is, he is thick and anyone who contemplates his claim that Hamas will try to take over Europe or America next is equally deluded. America and the U.K. are the ones involved in supporting Israel in reigning terror over the Palestinians. No one is reigning terror or trying to oppress them. Talk about being over dramatic.
