She purposely riled everyone up about the protests and now there are far right and football hooligans planning to counter riot and incite violence.
This is known by the police hence the heightened police presence on the day.

However it's now going to look like it's because of the pro Palestine march even though they are not planning to go anywhere near the cenotaph and its just a peaceful protest.

BTP said in a post on X: “Following engagement with protest liaison officers, protesters are refusing to leave Waterloo station as agreed.
“Therefore we are moving to arrest phase.”
--
Then at 1728 GMT:

"British Transport police have said they have made no arrests at Waterloo station:
As we moved to our arrest phase in Waterloo station, protesters began to disperse. No arrests were made.
The station is clear now, and passengers are able to use the station as normal

That…doesn’t sound like there was any trouble?
Police went into arrest phase as the protesters were refusing to leave but as they did so the protesters actually started to leave. No-one was arrested.

Ah well I've tried but I guess you can lead a horse to water etc..TBH your bias is showing.

No point in continually going around and around on this, so I'll leave you with the thought that you seem to be highly sceptical even of the left leaning MSM when it comes to some of last nights events - I really hope you are similarly sceptical of the MSM when it comes to subjects such as Gaza, casualty figures etc.

Surplus2requirements · 12/11/2023 10:44

People sitting down might be a little inconvenient but is hardly intimidating as is being ridiculously implied

Yeah probably * *

Surplus2requirements · 12/11/2023 11:27

Despite efforts from some to confuse the figures and who is far right the latest statement from the Met is 126 arrests including at least 92 far right counter protesters.

They are actively seeking individuals seen carrying anti semetic placards.

So that's 92 clearly far right counter protesters and 34 likely largely from the main march but may include some whose affiliation or involvement in either group is not known and an unknown number of arrests to come.

Several 100s of people from both sides were detained for search and questioning on the street or to prevent them confronting others such as those held in a pub for a time many of which were not arrested.

hulahello · 12/11/2023 11:52

yep it's very telling that 92 arrests came from about 500 right wing counter protesters (18% approx of that total), but just 34 from 850,000 marching for ceasefire (0.00004%)

I thought UK was fighting the far right in WW2? So why are the far right now wearing poppies and defending the cenotaph?”

Because they’re imbeciles as is anyone who agrees with their views.

Coveescapee · 12/11/2023 12:33

Oh for goodness sake the police have said many times that they don't make arrests on the day of the "peace" marches as they are worried this will cause mass violence from the assorted Islamists, Hamas supporters and naive lefties. That's why they have released many photos today including two wearing Hamas headbands. I'm sure Jewish people are alot more fearful of them than a few Tommy Robinson supporters.

@MrsSkylerWhite They are certainly confused, but very dangerous with it. I suppose we are lucky there aren't too many of them, but it's unfortunate that certain politicians encourage their misplaced anger and lack of historical knowledge.

I would not go on a march with people like this and the people work hateful signs just as I wouldn't go on a march alongside people dressed as the Ku klux Klan however few. This makes Jewish people feel just like black people would if the KKK were marching and to compare to Robinson and his gang is laughable.

Met Police hunt for 'hate crime' suspects at pro-Palestine march

The Met Police launched an appeal in a bid to identify multiple demonstrators who were pictured carrying anti-Semitic placards at yesterday's pro-Palestinian march.

Absolutely
Plus videos of the sit in showed there were very few people there.
Lots of commuters wandering around going to get their trains and a few people standing around watching and videoing the sit in.

stormy4319trevor · 12/11/2023 13:19

@Coveescapee Well, those people are for the police to deal with. In a crowd of 300k there's bound to be a few troublemakers. I don't know whether the Jewish community is united in feeling afraid - as there are Jewish organisations and individuals on these marches. Probably that's a conversation the Jewish community will be having as to whether a diversity of views is valid at this time? I do think organisers of the march need to be very clear on behaviour and signs etc. There's only so much they can do as anyone can attend - which is where the police come in.

Absolutely who are these people.
They certainly are not following the ethos of the march which was peace.

I'll take your word for that, I'm sure that is why we saw so many signs condemning Hamas and demanding the return of the hostages (not).

Peace is about negotiation
Equal rights and obligations on both sides.

Coveescapee · 12/11/2023 13:43

I don't know what that even means but you can't negotiate with Hamas they just want the obliteration of Jewish people.

Aw not The Daily Fail again, inflammatory reporting at its finest.
Yes I saw the pictures of the men in headbands yesterday and I mentioned them upthread. As the article states the police are trying to track them and the other perpetrator's down.
I understand that people like this are intimidating but they are really not representative of the majority. Anyone who behaves like this is just gonna end up being arrested.

I’m assuming you have seen Netanyahu s map of The Middle East he presented at the UN conference in September of this year.
That’s September 2023.

Surplus2requirements · 12/11/2023 14:38

Just for a little context the Met are seeking to identify six people suspected of hate crimes.

6 people out of a minimum of 300,000 of which there are thousands of hours of video footage so very little will have been missed.

I could be wrong but I think they're wanted for wearing those headbands. I googled and seems those headbands are not actually Hamas headbands. They're like the Saudi flag and have a prayer on them unlike the Hamas ones that have other stuff on them. The way they are dressed looks intimidating though. 😟

EasterIssland · 12/11/2023 15:09

There is a video on Twitter of these 4 men if you can call them like that totally disrespectful

I’ve seen videos of Tommy supporters doing the nazi salute during the protest yesterday. If I were a Jew, I’d be more intimidated by them.
