She purposely riled everyone up about the protests and now there are far right and football hooligans planning to counter riot and incite violence.
This is known by the police hence the heightened police presence on the day.

However it's now going to look like it's because of the pro Palestine march even though they are not planning to go anywhere near the cenotaph and its just a peaceful protest.

And @Readingallnight if you think it is purposeful joining people with those signs and wearing hamas outfits thus making Jewish people feeling even more unsafe, you are totally clueless.

As you know @Thekirit if you got that post deleted I said nothing linking hamas to hijab so you are outright lying. Obviously I can't prove that as you got my post deleted for pointing out numbers killed by islamists versus far right. Not sure what your motivation is.

The post that was deleted did not reference hamas and religious clothing.
you’re getting confused and mixing up different conversations here.

I really can’t be bothered. I see others have given up with this aswel.
I don’t know why you’re talking about your deleted post and hamas and religious clothing when it wasnt about that ….it was hate speech and islamophobic.

Keep it polite and it won’t be deleted.

What’s purposeful is speaking out for what is right and condemning what is wrong
Over 300,000 people decided to do that yesterday…..thank God some people can be bothered.

She must know she ll have to be sacked. It's got to be part of her plan.
What is she up to? Is she trying to stage ( the beginnings) of a coup.
Or is she just a Tory Jeremy Corbin, happy to capture the party even if it means staying in opposition for ever?
What a freak!

Leader of the opposition probably looks like a quite attractive future job to a lot of Tory Mps about now.

The right of the Tory party has been growing in influence for several years and when you mix that up with a populist loose cannon anything is possible, you only need to look to the US to see that.

Trumpism has hijacked the Rep party and the true, with integrity, republicans seem powerless to prevent it.

I believe Braverman is gambling our politics have reached the same level where confirmation bias is more influential than truth.

My concern is she may be right.

If Sunak sacks her and he gets lots if votes of no confidence and Let’s face it that’s been on the cards.
Then she can run for pm.
God that would be a disaster.

More evidence that Suella is right about impartiality.
Police posing with protestors?
The truth is coming out now. Yes it's in the Mail but you can't deny the photos and the Met tweet that it was inadvisable even though (of course)the officers would not face action.

ttps://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12740655/Met-Police-faces-new-impartiality-row-officers-seen-posing-child-dressed-masked-terrorist-holding-Palestine-flag.html

Yes i'm sure that child is a threat to the UK and Israel.

You'll have to quote the law where displaying the Palestinian flag is a crime.

What the photo shows is that the protest march was largely peaceful, unlike the EDL counter protest, which strangely the Mail and Braverman are quiet about.

She was totally right about police not being impartial. This picture shows how the police officer is happily smiling alongside.

They don't arrest, they do softly softly approach then people feel emboldened and bring flares, fireworks, wear masks, intimidate, chant, wave anti semitic banners. It's not a peace march at all, it's a march for Palestine which includes hate towards Jewish people. They don't want hamas to stop and if any brave individual calls out Hamas they are quickly shut down and intimidated. That speaks volumes! Still the naive march along with all of that.

Aside from the photo with the child, the rest are definitely not officers posing with protesting. It looks like they were engaging with people and somebody took a photo. Stop trying to create a narrative.

Police have arrested the few extremists that hijack these marches, such as the women who had pictures of Hamas terrorists on their jackets.

Banners calling for a Palestinian state are not anti Semitic, its only Israel that doesn't want the Palestinians to have their country.

Quite why a police officer posing with a child with a legitimate flag is somehow wrong is beyond me, some are trying to pretend this child had a petrol bomb etc.

MyCircumference · 13/11/2023 08:39

Noelectricheating · 13/11/2023 08:45

Yes she has been sacked. Call out the hate and ask them to just not on 11th November and she gets sacked. So the marches for pro Palestine can carry on being disruptive, some of them spreading hatred and division.

Who encourages a child to cover their face as a terrorist might do. Why is that even suggested. Of course the child isn't a threat but the teaching of cover you face and copy what adult men do, as was seen on the pro Palestine march on Saturday, copy the adult men. Not great for peace and unity.

Parkingt111 · 13/11/2023 09:00

Can't say that we didn't see this coming. Anyone know who she is being replaced with?

Efacsen · 13/11/2023 09:03

@Parkingt111 James Cleverly apparently

As a terrorist might do or as some practicing Muslims do? i agree that if its as a terrorist then thats clearly a stupid thing to do.

But the vast vast majority did not wear face coverings.

Bottom line is that millions of people died for our freedoms over 2 WW's and protest marches have a long history in this country, peaceful or otherwise, long may they continue.

Or do we want the UK to become a China or a Russia and have Govt dictating what we can or cannot protest against?

Goodbye Suella, thank god you're gone.

Meanwhile I spotted this.

Nine police were injured on Saturday by the far right protestors at the cenotaph including two seriously (fractured elbow and dislocated hip).

Making the peace protestors out to be the violent ones is sounding increasingly stupid and desperate. Unfortunately we have other far right thugs doing serious violent assaults.

I don't think that's the problem people have with the image.

As I understand it the issue is there have been grumbles for some time, even prior to the now former Home Secretary's comments, about whether the Met really handle all demos in a balanced and objective manner. In that context of that debate the optics of that image aren't great.

hulahello · 13/11/2023 09:21

@notimagain yes given the far right thugs injured nine police, including two with broken bones, you would think that they would ban far right mobs. it's clear who the violent aggressors are here.
