The main stream press aren’t really addressing the horror of what is happening (bar maybe Channel 4 news and Al Jazeera) - it’s a sanitised version.

As I said in the original thread, there has been absolute horror on both sides but the Israeli government are inflicting collective punishment on the people of Gaza, which is a war crime under international law.

I still feel we are watching genocide in real time.

There is a leaked document showing Israel's plan to move all the Palestinians to the Sinai and empty Gaza with American and Western funding. Plus US incentives to Egypt. I haven't had time to read it properly but it seems to be following the strategy of Major general Giora Eiland An Israeli ministry, in a 'concept paper,' proposes transferring Gaza civilians to Egypt's Sinai | AP News

My feeling is that the US and Israel have a plan.
The UK is not in on it but wants to be.
Everyone else is not in on it but can see what’s happening and increasingly condemns it.

I should say the US and Israeli governments have a plan.
Ordinary Israelis will benefit if they keep their mouths shut.

I think this has been referenced previously and someone tried to discredit the document as fake but as I understand it now it has been verified and published by wikileaks. I'm also tempted to think it's real because the IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari made it quite clear in a press statement a few days ago that the IDF planned to clear northern Gaza and then move south.

He did not explain how those who had evacuated from the north would be able to return. He delivered his message in English, clearly the Palestinians were not his intended audience! And he always seems to be borderline smirking when he delivers more IDF propaganda, the IDF YouTube channel would be hilarious if thousands of people weren't being killed.

I'm usually very anti violence but Daniel Hagari has a face I'd like to slap.

It seems clear to me that the Israeli governments intention is to start with genocide and clean up with ethnic cleansing. Anyone who listened to Netanyahu a few days ago can be in no doubt, "you must remember what the Amalek has done to you". Blogging Theology on YouTube has done a detailed analysis of this speech.

This is what wiki says about them. I thought the Israel/Gaza situation might unite Saudi and Iran so I think their intervention will add further complications to an already volatile situation.

Absolutely horrific scenes today across Gaza and the West Bank. A family in a car being blown up by a tank when they were trying to evacuate, a huge bomb being dropped on a refugee camp and kidnapped men and boys in the West Bank being tortured by Israeli soldiers who recorded it and uploaded it onto the internet.

I’m sickened. Sickened by what’s happening and sickened by the ordinary people who are cheering this on.

The only glimmer of hope is that I’ve seen more and more people calling this out now.

@Sippingmytea 100% agree. Those poor people. The only glimmer of hope they have now is that if they die, they die instantly. I saw a Palestinian say this. Their faith is so strong they have accepted it will probably happen and their only wish is that they die instantly and in one piece.

I saw another family say they where trying to decide if they should split children up between family so that there was more chance of some of their family living on or if they should all shelter together and die altogether. What a thing to have to even think about!!

Israel are taking revenge and the world is giving them the weapons and the applause. Utterly sickening and heartbreaking. They are attacking innocent defenceless people and they think they are heroes. The world is absolutely complicit in this genocide. Our government continues to be shameful.
