Channel 4 News report into IDF evidence for Gaza hospital bombing

This was released yesterday but doesn't seem to have been given much coverage, possibly because it's not been able to draw any conclusions.

I had found the evidence presented by the IDF to be fairly convincing, so I found this an unsettling watch (even though it does not prove that they were responsible).

I expect I shall get criticism from those who have claimed from the start that the IDF are liars, and more criticism from those who see posting this as siding with the terrorist narrative.

I'm still struggling to fully comprehend the enormity and nuances of this conflict.

What, not even the Hamas terrorist screaming Allahu Akbar as he hacked the head off a still-living agricultural worker on a kibbutz with a hoe?

I recognize this is a side issue but why would Hamas refer to them as Israelis when they refer to themselves as Jews? The Jewish posters on every thread have called them Jews. Jews around the world are calling the victims Jews. I lived in Israel and Jewish people referred to themselves as Jews (as in Jews vs Arabs). I wrote an academic article once and my supervisor said I had to remove 'Jews' and replace it with "Israelis" as we could be accused of antisemitism. I asked how we were going to differentiate between Arab Israelis and Jewish ones, and how would I refer to Jews in America as they weren't 'Israeli?'

Mushti in terms of scale IDF have killed far more and there is no end to their need . More children killed by IDF then 20 months of Russian war. And they want more blood.

Do you get as upset over Israeli atrocities, or the historic and current systematic persecution of Palestinians? This is not a one way street.

Nobody is or should be trying to balance quantity. This is not an eye for an eye, a life for a life. Israel is targeting legitimate military installations in the midst of a mostly civillian population. Civilian deaths in war time are inevitable. Only six thousand dead civilians after 12,000 tonnes of munitions dropped suggests to me that Israel is trying hard to minimize civillian deaths: without targeted strikes those 12,000 tonnes of bombs could have killed hundreds of thousands.

Israel doesn't want blood. But if Hamas hides amongst innocent people, blood it will be. And that's on Hamas.

Because it's accurate. Because both Jews and Hamas know that it's Jews that Hamas is seeing to destroy.

Its only the outside world - people like you - that insists Hamas is anti-"Israel" but not anti-Jew.

I haven't spoken on behalf of Hamas once. The point is that they are calling them Jews because that's what they are!

They're also Israeli. Or blonde. Or dark-skinned. Yet Hamas murderers didn't stand over dead bodies and exult over how many red-heads they'd killed. Or how many Israelis. It was about killing Jews.

The rest of the world can talk about Israel vs. Palestine as much as they like. Both sides actually involved in this conflict know the root cause of hatred is one side is Jewish.

This is inaccurate. My family in Israel don't call Palestinians Arabs, they call the Arabs in Haifa 'Israeli Arabs' and they call Palestinians Palestinians.

I'm a Jew in the UK and have never used the word Arab to describe a Muslim. Neither have any of my Jewish friends. What absolute nonsense! No one I know thinks all Muslims are Arabs or that all Arabs are Muslims 🤦🏻‍♀️ Behave yourself! You're making me wonder what other statements you've made on here that are also wholly untrue?

I can't speak on anyone's behalf, but I think most people could deduce that Hamas want to get rid of them not because they are Jews per se but because the occupiers of their homes happen to be Jewish. I think if they wanted to kill all Jews worldwide there would be 'cells' targeting and killing them. There are a lot of very angry people regarding the situation.
I was at a trade union meeting tonight and got talking to a woman in her 50s who grew up in NI. She was saying that her friend visited Israel on a day trip and witnessed an Israeli soldier hitting a Palestinian child of about 7 or 8 with the butt of his gun, and then laughing about it. She said if she witnessed something like that she'd be in jail for murder. She grew up being abused by British soldiers and like many Irish people feel very strongly about the occupation and human rights violations.

And equally you could say Israel want rid of Palestinians because they are Palestinians.

Nobody buys this false "collateral damage" rhetoric. People were told to move to the south and were bombed on their way there. It's awful.

I think you need to actually read that post and think about it and the related comic.

6000 dead with 12,000 tonnes of munitions suggests it's not a false narrative. If the goal was bloodshed, a great many more people could have and would have been killed.

Israel doesn't want "rid" of Palestinians. It wants rid of Hamas.

Because it is a demolition project and they are demolishing entire areas so that the Palestinians have no where to call home.

If the goal wasn't bloodshed, they wouldn't be starving children and preventing the vulnerable from having access to medicine.

They want rid of Hamas so they can get rid of Palestinians.

Israel is demolishing terrorist infrastructure. It's doing that with (relatively speaking) little loss of life. It deserves credit for that.

War hurts civillians. That should have weighed more heavily on the minds of Hamas commanders - who are the civil power in Gaza and have responsibility for the welfare of the civilians under their administration - before they started this recent war.

If anyone is starving children and denying the vulnerable access to medicine, it is Hamas. Not Israel.
