30s TTC: The BESH Palace - where the bar never closes, booze is free, the humour is black and babydust is strictly for snorting through a rolled up 20.

Welcome BESHies to the new palais. Plz to come fill it up plz.

For your delight and delectation I have dragged across the bar and the pit. Along with Mitchell (of course) to grant your every wish (but you will probably have to fight Scorps for him first... good luck with that).

I have even brought the Kylie infused absinthe. Now, who will join me in a Blackhole?

jeez fancy I'm so sorry. That was actually just a quote to follow scorp's 'bueller!'...I had no intention of being poignant really. You have my deepest sympathy.

CurlyCasper · 13/04/2010 20:43

x-posts. Obv

Hello gin lovelee. Hope the munchkin is ok now.

FancyALittle · 13/04/2010 20:49

Oh, I'm so going to be the small one who gets picked on and noone says her name right!

If I'm 25, I'll have to find another thread...

ginhag · 13/04/2010 20:52

hey bumpaliciouscasp how are you? Has being diffed got any easier of late? Know it was really taking it out of you my poor lovely...how's iggybumsex too? Missed her the other day...are you guys into the final stretch yet? (know when due but am not good at counting n all )

Scorpette · 13/04/2010 20:54

No-one says anyone's name right around here. 'Tis the law. Unless you're Abe Frohman, Sausage King of Chicago, that is

Damn, I wish I'd chosen AbeFrohman as my moniker on here now!

PS 25 - awwww!

ginhag · 13/04/2010 20:54

fancynancy no one says anyone's name right here mate. We're not the bullying kind...although we rather like random violence

Scorpette · 13/04/2010 20:55

PS The cancer-DP is shit. So sorry, poor thing

ginhag · 13/04/2010 20:56
ginhag · 13/04/2010 20:57

(which was obv referring to scorps acupuncture today and not her last post.)

MountTheFairy · 13/04/2010 20:57

Aaaah, I know I am a newbie who only pokes her head around once in a random while but at least I am the right age. For bloody once.

So whose idea was grapefrut juice? I think it did weird things to me.

Polly me luv, whatever the three headed chart is, it sounds good. I have been having doubts myself of the do I really WANT a child or is this the pressure of the society type... Do you think my uterus knows?

Does anyone here think that Sheldon Cooper looks and behaves very much like R2D2?

Off to study. My studdy buddy is in NY though which makes it a tad inconvenient. Oh and it turns out that my next door neighbour is at the same school as me. How funny. And before anyone asks again, I thought about it: it is a school! Even if I am foreign, it's in the name! As was my first degree school... I am ranting again. Don't fancy studying...

MountTheFairy · 13/04/2010 21:05

Wait, this thread has moved on in the time I posted that! Sorry, I sound like a right dweeb.

FancyKnickers so sorry to hear about your DP . Welcome to the thread. We'll just grope you a bit more due to the freshness of your flesh.

FancyALittle · 13/04/2010 21:20

MountTheFairy Yes! My DP is working away, so all attention gratefully received.

I promise not to impose myself, but I like the attitude in here and I hope my circumstances make you sympathetic - I'm no spritely, fertile young thing with no cares.

CurlyCasper · 13/04/2010 21:24

Been away chin wagging on phone (real life convseration!)

Ouch! Nipple twists back at ya gin. I'm good at the mo thanks (general whinging on the PESH thread withstanding). Much better than a couple of months ago. NHS thingy says third tri starts tomorrow [fear emoticon]

sorry about your other half fanciful. That's a load shit to be dealing with, so here's a pint of Tanq.

FancyALittle · 13/04/2010 21:28

CurlyCasper You've got a baby in you?!

CurlyCasper · 13/04/2010 21:30

Indeed, a small human of the female variety.

(and now regretting starting to watch GOSH prog)...

ginhag · 13/04/2010 21:32

casp I don't ever hear your whinging so don't worry bout that luvver...just remember that your body didn't seem that keen on the whole thing at the start...glad you're doing ok,and...erk! Third trimester!!!

fancyabitofhowsyerfather must be hard times at the mo mate.

MountTheFairy · 13/04/2010 21:40

LittleBitOfFancy just read your other thread. That's shite. I am sorry. Pint a gin to you. You can snuggle up to me, my could-be-your-father-other-half is out with his band tonight. Where are you based? I am imagining you in my hood. Dunno why. Maybe it's all that talk of the GOSH which is very close to me.

Scorpette · 13/04/2010 21:49

Set Judgey Pants to stun! Me and TYF are watching 'Spoilt Rotten' on BBC1 about kids who are being made ill by their fucktard parents letting them eat constant crap, smoking round them and all that shit and bellowing shamelessly middle-class 'Outraged of Tunbridge Wells'-stylee insults at the cretinous parents involved. Children having all their baby teeth removed because their parents are letting them just eat sugar, sugar, sugar all day long and who then cry at their baby's suffering from rotting, agonising toothache; acting all helpless and confused as to how it's happened. One woman just had the cheek to say 'I sometimes feel like it's my fault' about her son's 5-lolly-a-day (plus other non-stop sugary treats) habit leading to total tooth removal! TYF's just said 'why's she complaining? He doesn't need teeth to suck all those lollies the stupid cow keeps shoving in his gob so she doesn't have to parent him properly'. Meow!

Oh Christ, I hope our kids aren't going to get bullied for their sensible lunchboxes and lack of tellies in their room, etc. Because it ain't happening chez Mama Scropes, let me tell you!

PS Before anyone says 'wait till you have kids and then see where your views on not giving in to demands for choccy gets you' - both our mums were hardcore about not giving us crap and stuck to it. Obvy, am not judging anyone who gives their kids choccy and other treats as part of a sensible diet, as that's what we'll do. Ah, the fantasies of the childless...

PollyPoo · 13/04/2010 22:03

FancyPants I'm so sorry about your DP. What an utter pile o' shite.

I have just cooked the most enormous and delish dinner - dauphinois pots, lots of green veg, chicken breasts stuffed with buffalo mozzarella and wrapped in bacon. Nom nom nom. I am still hungry though.

We are watching Castle at the mo - it is Murder She Wrote with a male lead (Nathan Fillion, 'im off of Serenity/Firefly). It is so bad its good and NF is really hamming it up.

When up the duff with Boo I swore no child of mine would ever watch tv. Fast forward nearly three years and see how we spent the day on the sofa watching disney films. (She was ill, that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it.)

OP posts:
Ocarina · 13/04/2010 22:13

Oooh, am getting quietly excited about Polly's chart (and wishing mine ever looked something like that sensible, even without the exciting triphasic bit).

Scorps we'll have to send our kids to the same school so they can be not bullied for having mean parents together! (Clearly an entirely sensible plan given you live hundreds of miles away). It seems like there's just more things to ban them from now than our parents had with us.

Got through the meeting without crying or anything else nasty, and no need to talk about hormones or periods or anything else to scare the men. It's probably a good job droid arrived days ago, rather than say this morning in which case I would've been a blubbering wreck this evening.

When we started ttc I was cheerfully confident that I wouldn't be at the equivalent meeting to that one next year cos I'd be on mat leave. It's still possible, but the reality that it's just as likely not to be the case is sinking in. I keep finding strange milestones that won't be how I'd hoped they would, and that was despite me knowing full well there were no guarantees I'd get diffed quickly (and obviously I'm still relatively new to the whole thing really). Tis messing with my head.

Ocarina · 13/04/2010 22:15

Sorry, forgot to say hello to Fancythings and sorry about your DP. Hope the outlook's good for him.

And now I want to steal Polly's dinner.

Medee · 13/04/2010 22:24

evening all. Welcome Fancylady, I'm sorry to hear about your DP and the TTC struggles.

I learnt today that a colleague, who is exactly two weeks older than me, is pregnant with her second. Now she might have been trying for ages, but still feel jealous as hell.

PollyPoo · 13/04/2010 22:34

Occers you'll be lucky, we scoffed the lot! I know how you feel about the milestones. When SIL got diffed we lent them all our baby stuff assuming that by the time their son was 6 months olds, I'd be about to pop and we could have it all back. We got it all back over a year ago. Boo's birthday is another one - I came off the pill before her 1st birthday and spent the whole of her party wondering if the reason the droid was late was because I magically got duffed on the first attempt. We are now coming up to her 3rd birthday, still sans baybee. Tis fucking shit innit. Doesn't matter how long or how short your wait for your baybee, there are always dates, hopes and expectations to be dashed. Ooh aren't I a bundle of joy this evening!

Anyway tonight I am most definitely not 2woofling. Honest.

'lo Medee!

Where is MeOleCock - she must be back from hols now?

OP posts:
PollyPoo · 13/04/2010 22:37

GinHaglet how is Mooch now? I hope he is feeling better. Boo has now recovered from the shits, only to get a cold, sore throat, cough and high temp. This is the third week on the trot now she's been ill so I feel your pain. Hugs and hairstrokes to you and Mooch.

OP posts:
Medee · 13/04/2010 22:39

Hello Polly! Keeping my fingers crossed for you, that looks like a v promising chart.

I'm waiting for the droid's arrival, so that we can get back to TTC after my month "off".
