Hello all, just reporting in - still no change here and on CD50. I think I might be making a doctor's appointment this week as it is starting to get ridiculous now. Of course, as soon as I make an appointment AF will arrive, I bet

Good luck to all POASing this weekend and best wishes to all who are having a crappy time of things at the minute too.

claireinthecommunity · 20/03/2010 21:03

Me again! Had a really good day today, I forced myself to attend a 'fun for all the family' outdoor event near us, lots of neighbours there that I hadn't seen for a while, and had a great time - amazing what a change of scene and fresh air can do .

Shame about the job bellaby, but good news that you'll be able to concentrate on ttc now.

Exciting news about the new car kkas. My DHs car was a 'straight from the factory' number (two seater), mine is the 12 year old run around, that will be our family car .

Oh aries, let's hope the little swimmer was there!

Whiteroses, I take it it was the OV you weren't aware of rather than the DTD

Ooh MrsWajs, fingers crossed for the morning and also for zippy if you do decide to test on Monday, and I don't think it's silly at all!.

Lovely supportive post from Yorkshire

Calligraphy, I get ewcm on one day (very occasionally two) and then nothing, and I've only noticed all the different types of cm since ttc too.

DH and I have another trade fayre tomorrow, so will be out very early and shattered when we get in, but hopefully we'll drum up some new business from it.

claireinthecommunity · 20/03/2010 21:06

Xpost evilgiraffe, probably a good idea about making a Drs appointment, must be extremely frustrating for you.

bunnygirl80 · 20/03/2010 21:40

calyx, aries and claire I just want to add to roses attempt at reassuring you guys. All my previous cycles I was a religious SWI every other day girl. This time around I went for the more laid back approach, and because I work away from home we weren't able to go for every other day anyway.

So we DTD once 4 days before ov and once the day before and lo and behold it worked You really do only need one swimmer to make it, so I really wouldn't worry too much about only SWI once or twice at the right time

There is a school of thought out there that says that you've got more chance of conceiving if you have good quality sex rather than a greater quantity - something to do with stronger orgasms (for both parties ) getting the swimmers through the cervix and closer to their intended goal. So if you don't get chance to DTD often then just make sure it's super fun when you do

Ariesgirl · 20/03/2010 21:42

Good orgasms? During....(looks round in an embarrassed fashion) penetration? Um...right!

mumnerves · 20/03/2010 21:49

evilgiraffe CD50??!! Was wondering what was happening with you as haven't seen you here for a while. Have you poas in last few days? Still BFN? Hope the Dr's appt goes ok!

MrsWajs fingers crossed for you for tomorrow.

kkas I've been thinking about new cars recently too. Can't decide between an SUV or a small 4x4. I did think the tiguan looked pretty cool.

Calligraphy82 Glad you and the DH managed to sort it out. welcome back onto the crazy ttc train

papertiger don't think I've said welcome to you yet, so welcome to our crazy thread

claire and aries you're right it only takes one little swimmer and let's hope he/she got through!

(((wave))) to yorkshire and whiteroses so nice of you ladies to keep popping in to say hello and updating us on how you're doing

zippys Good luck for your test on mon, you sound so determined about the weight loss, good for you, I think we should all just be the weight we feel happy with and if you want to loose weight at least you're doing something about it!

Well OPK was +ve yesterday, tried not to stress about jumping DH but bless he may have sussed it out and we SWI last night and tonight too. So much less stressful this way and I think it allows me to live with 2ww as I now feel it was out of my control Well at least until the hormones kick in anyway

Hope everyone was having a lovely sat evening, inspite of it pissing down with rain (UK) .

cherrycobbler · 20/03/2010 21:50

Hello all, wow you are a chatty bunch, its so fab!

claire v glad you've had a really good day, hope that tomorrow continues the theme and trade fayre goes well. take care of yourself, and sorry to hear things have been tough recently.

aries - it only takes one! glad your inlaws have gone at least. and I didn't know that about cough syrup!

kkas so exciting re the car, and I am very jealous! VW tiguan is the car that both DH and I are slightly obsessed by and that we both oooh and aaah over every time a shiny new one passes. I think its because its a definite "family step up" from our v battered two door tiny car that we've had for ever, but not too huge and scary a change as some of the other SUV's would be. Let me know how you find it (well, when its delivered). We are not going to look for a new car though unless (until!) we get a BFP. Well, unless BFP takes years and years...

MrsWajs have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.

evilgiraffe agree with Claire, docs appt sounds v good idea, if only to put your mind at rest/ trigger AF through the mysterious workings of Sod's Law.

I have just realised that as I have ov late, if by some miracle this is The Month then I may have a christmas day-ish baby, and DH has always been a bit about festive babies as he thinks they feel left out about not having separate birthdays. Hopefully worrying about that will have good reverse psychology effect on my body and will result in a rather shocking (given lack of SWI) BFP!

mumnerves · 20/03/2010 21:52

bunnygirl We had 'made-up sex' yesterday. I was pissed off at him all day about (as per usual) something stupid (laundry related ) I wonder if that constitutes good quality sex lol

MrsWajs · 20/03/2010 21:52

Have to agree with ariesgirl on that one!!

Verrrry quick post as I have visitors in, but for all those who are wondering I will be testing tomorrow morning at approximately 0900 hours (!) and if it is positive I'm pretty sure you'll hear about it at about 0905 haha.

And if by some freak miracle I get a BFP, you'll hear about it once I have scraped myself off the bathroom floor and calmed myself down and convinced myself it's a sham anyway!!!

Night!!

haloflo · 20/03/2010 22:27

Hi all.

I think judging from the graduates from this thread that grapefruit juice & cough medicine are not needed for the BPF so I think i'll leave those methods alone for now. Also it seems we don't need daily or even every other day SWI. I think that means that claire, calyx and ariesgirl - you are all in with a chance. Keep us updated.

zippys I did go for a run but ruined my good work with a huge piece of chocolate cake (given to my on a plate at my dads, I couldn't say no!) and a tasty indian takeaway for tea. I don't think its silly to test monday. If its another BFN at least when your doc asks you can say that you aren't pg so there must be another reason for delayed AF and they might be able to help.

MrsWajs Good luck for tomorrow!

kkas car sounds really good! The colour sounds gorgeous (thats about all I know about cars im afraid)

Bellaby Sorry about the job. I hope you followed the CBFM instructions and DTD!

Cherry I actually always felt the same as your DH regarding Xmas babies but now I think it would be brillant.

evilgiraffe I think you should get that appointment made, I know others had no luck when asking about the lack of AF but your GP might be better and you can pass on what they say.

AF is very much over for me and am feeling optimistic about the week or so ahead. Will start POAS (ovulation style) from tuesday as they are supposed to arrive on monday.

Ariesgirl · 20/03/2010 22:54

Sorry - still on the subject of bodily secretions, am wondering why this month it seems that there is nothing mucus-related where it matters, yet at the same time, gallons of the stuff seem to be pouring out of my nose. Where's the justice? Maybe the cough medicine was a bad idea after all.

Kaloki · 20/03/2010 23:35

Hey everyone, thought I'd pop in to see how you all are.

I appear to have picked up a bug or something, so not so focused on TTC right now.

Good luck to those of you testing! And commiserations to anyone who has been caught by AF!

Hi Lovelies,

I?m back! I have been lurking but no time to post while my friend has been here- she left this morning but we have more visitors arriving on Friday! It?s lovely to have visitors but so nice to have the place to yourself again.

I?ve been feeling your pain with the visitors aries! I am also thinking and feeling all the things you are re. irrational infertility thoughts so you?re not alone there and seeing as how I knew exactly what you meant with the cough syrup (didn?t admit before as was just a quick post but I got as far as putting it in the trolly but dh spotted it at the check out and chucked it out in disgust so thats why I had to settle for GFJ!) I?d say we were in the same league of obsession

Right am attempting to catch up now Apologies in advance if I miss anyone.

Firstly, welcome to stiffybyngand papertiger!! Are you going to test papertiger or still waiting until Tues?

MrsWajs- what a time you?re having lady! I?m glad that your dp?s job is safe for now and that you?ve paid the balance on your hol. You deserve sometime away what with all you?re going through. Am waiting with baited breath for the result of your first response test this morning! Fingers crossed for you.

Cavemum- Wish I?d had some time to place an online bet or even pass your tips on to my Dad back home! Keep us posted with your tips for the next big races!

luckySevan I also think your dh is right about how long it takes people. I am sure people ?edit? how long it takes them to conceive. Just look at me.. I am not trying properly but have been off my pill for 4 months in preparation and cycle still not that regular so I am sure that lots of people do things like and then knock all that time off. I hope you enjoyed your menstrals at the cinema the other night!!!

Kkas- your car sounds lush! Cherry red too- wow!! I?ve never owned a brand new car before. So cool that it is being made just for you!

zippys- no, it?s not silly to do another test on Monday. Let us know the outcome of it. That?s great news that you?re going to see a nutritionalist. How are you going with the sickness? Is it any better or are you still struggling with it? Oh, and my Dad got his scan results back on Friday and they were all clear- Thank god- although now he is in limbo land like you. Still feeling really rough but doctors have no clue what is wrong with him. I think the next step for him is a neck and back scan to see if it is damage to something down there that is causing the headaches and sickness.

Thanks so much for popping in yorkshire pidgin and roses- it?s lovely to see how you?re getting on and to listen to your tips and hear what you did in the months that you got your bfp. bunny- no you are not allowed to go anywhere- we do need you for the stats! Saw your posts on the graduates thread and know how you feel re. telling your mum. I am going to be the same when the time comes. I know that with my mum, although she will be a bit upset, it?s mainly my guilt that makes me think she will be more upset than she actually will be. Does that load of waffle make sense?!I?m glad that your doctor was so lovely and excited!

Good to see you aly- your job sounds so exciting. I have friends who are lawyers but they do property stuff whereas what you do sounds much more exciting. How is that puppy behaving!! I know what you mean about the night time naughtiness! We have two cats who are sooo naughty in the night! How is it going with the teenage girls?! I can?t believe that your sister left that message on your comp to her friend! He he, did you ever mention it to her?! Good luck at the specialist on Thursday- kepe us posted. Your dh sounds lovely too about how he would rather you get mad at him then be super disappointed, Bless him.

dinky- The ebay saga made me chuckle! he he! Has your stuff arrived yet?!

calligraphy- great news that you are back in the game! like the others have said, I think all men get a bit wary when we go all obsessed and crazy on them! I know mine does

evil- I think you should make a docs appointment, even if it is just to make af arrive- sods law! I know that kurly went to the docs the other week about her af and the doc said that they wouldn?t do anything for 6 month Maybe it is different in different areas though?

How are you kurly- don?t stay at work too late this week please. That?s an order! Not long until your holiday now- bet you can?t wait! When do the English schools break up for easter? We just have one more week left out here. Yay!

Bellaby- sorry about the job but at least you can dedicate more time to ttc. How long have you had your CBFM? I really want one and have decided that if I have not had a BFP by Christmas I shall treat myself to one!

mumnerves- I feel your pain. Am a control freak too! Do your temps say you?ve Ovulated yet?!

katzen- any news from you on whether you think it was implantation on af? Are you going to poas?

kaloki how are you? any further cramps etc? and any news from the CAB? Hope all is ok.

Big waves to haloflo (get on with PSFs!!) cherrycobbler and calyx (hope your comp is fixed soon) and hugs to claire*- glad you?re on the mend hun.

SOOOOOO sorry if I?ve missed anyone out- It?s taken me a good half an hour to catch up with all your posts. No news from me really- am feeling VERY angry today and have been a bit of a cow to my poor dh so I hope af will be here tomorrow or I must just be a moody bitch!

Enjoy your sunday all and hope the weather is a bit better for you! We?re just off to have a bbq

Lots of love xxxxxxxxxx

MrsWajs · 21/03/2010 08:56

FR - BFN

kkas · 21/03/2010 08:58

sorry to hear that mrswajs - it's not over til AF arrives though!

felicityFlick · 21/03/2010 09:08

oh mrswajs I echo what kkas says xxxx

haloflo · 21/03/2010 10:25

Sorry to hear that MrsWajs. I hope you are ok.

Felicity I'm glad to hear your dad's scan ruled things out & I hope they get to the bottom of his illness soon. I hope you enjoy time to yourself & with DH until the next round of visitors.

I'm off to the supermarket this morning & then DP might be off to the pub for the football this lunchtime so might put my feet up with a good book.

Ariesgirl · 21/03/2010 11:20

Flick you deserve a medal for that marathon post. Well done! Glad to hear there's less to worry about with your Pa. My parents are starting to quite frighteningly age before my eyes and it's making me feel for the first time, like a grown up, despite being 35 soon. They're old! I have old people for parents! This adds to the pressure I'm putting on myself to make them grandparents. They don't know I'm TTC, though I think my mum may have guessed when I put "baby" on my birthday list. She rang a little while afterwards asking if I was ok and I went into shutdown mode like I always do and snapped "Fine. I'm FINE!" I think she then knew better than to bring up her usual topic of conversation - my younger sister's pregnancy.

Thanks too to yorkshire, roses and bunny for popping back in and reassuring us. Just off down tesco's for some grapefruit juice! I've been thinking about that and puzzling - why would grapefruit juice (citrus, acidic etc) help promote the alkaline environment of you fanjo? oh well, anything's worth a try.

mumnerves · 21/03/2010 11:38

Mrswajs don't be too dissapointed with your BFN. I too echo what kkas said. Also, think of all the wine and pate you can eat if AF does arrive

Flick what a long post I'm not surprised it took you half an hour! Enjoy your bbq, weather here in UK is a bit better today ( altho I wish it were bbq weather) I wouldn't worry about being a bit of a cow to your DH, just think he doesn't have to carry the baby and it's what they're there for No, temp hasn't risen yet, ovulating pretty late again, so not sure what's going on
I just want to ov so that my af won't come when we're away over easter! BUT, af ALWAYS comes when I'm on holiday so nothing new there!
Oh, and I'm glad your dad's scans came back ok, in a way it's harder cos you just probably want to know what's wrong! Keeping my fingers crossed for him

ariesgirl lol at cough syrup causing secretions at the wrong end. Hope the grapefruit juice does the trick for you It did for me this month

Have a good sunday everyone!

fudgecat · 21/03/2010 12:23

Hi all

Just though I would pop in and say hi and see how you are all doing

Warm welcome to all the new folks ? remember that to come over the grads when you get your BFP?s

Im now 8+3 and feeling very tired but touch wood I have managed to avoid MS so far I have been for an early scan and all is looking fine so far its now 15mm long from its head to its bum

Right, time to kick myself up the arse and do some housework

Kaloki · 21/03/2010 12:42

felicity The cramps haven't stopped at all. They're bad enough to make me sick! Which makes me think it's a bug rather than anything else.

As for CAB we're still just waiting.

Mrswajs So sorry to hear that

OP posts:
felicityFlick · 21/03/2010 13:42

Ha ha, thanks for all your comments on my long post! I accept the medal you're offering aries I hadn't realised the post was that long as I'd written it in word and was writing it as I was catching up with all the goss and when I cut and pasted it over I saw how long it was!! Did you really put baby on your birthday list?! That's so funny!

mumnerves- Ovulation is such a pain isn't it?! I apparently ovulated on day 19 according to FF which I was thrilled about but am now on day 35 with no sign of af so god knows. On another note, I have been having loads of cm and I have only just made the connection to the GFJ when I read your post! It must be the reason Where are you off on your hols?

Thanks for all your kind comments on my Dad. Fingers crossed we'll find out soon.

Hope you're enjoying your book flo!

Off to bed now so enjoy your day all.

felicityFlick · 21/03/2010 13:43

Hello New People!

Sorry to hear about AF MrsWajs, you've not been having a great time lately, console yourself with chocolates and wine!

Loving the stories and fertility boosting ideas! I hadn't heard of the cough medicine one!

Glad all is going well fudgecat

Met up with some friends recently, two of which are pregnant. It prompted a bit of a discussion amongst those with children about how long it took (I was listening intently!). Most of them were claiming it happened straight away to their great surprise , so I know what you mean about only hearing about the 'wins' lucky. One girl reluctantly admitted it took her five months, I'm sure she felt like a freak amongst her apparently super fertile pals! Unfortunately it makes me feel a bit like that too as it's been eight months so far and nothing. If when we manage it I will tell everyone who asks how long it took to help those TTC feel a bit better.

I watched Marley and Me last night, I remember there was a bit of chat about it a while ago. Couldn't stay in the room for the end, far too sad, it reminded me of losing our little dog a few months ago . DH watched it then spent ages cuddling our other little dog, men are just as soppy as women!
