Afternoon everyone! Big welcome to womanly and apple ( sorry for breviating but I'm lazy and so it to everyone lol!)
I'm the same as you apple I'm very good while I'm on my two week wait after ovulation but first sign of AF and I go crying to the shop for Marlborough lights, chocolate and diet coke! Very naughty indeed! My friend has a 1 year old and it's a bit mean to admit but I hate going to see her sometimes because I get horrible pains in my tum from jealousy! I'm the same bmi and sameish cycle day too!

luckyseven do you do alot of hiking type stuff then? I used to live near snowdon but I'm petrified of heights so never been brave enough to go up- looks very nice from the bottom tho!

kaloki couldn't agree with you more bout the d.e.bill- in my opinion it's a total violation of our human rights- and the presumption that you are guilty until you prove yourself innocent- which is ridiculous as a computer only has one address so a whole family could be liable if one member of that family breaks the rules!grrr!

PinkiePoo · 08/04/2010 16:14

Mmmmm.....Marlbrough Lights. Could certainly do with one of those and a glass of wine before my dreaded meeting, got a nervous stomach. Along with continuos cramping and tiredness today........jeez, if its coming, i would rather have it now, over and done with. This waiting for it is awful!!!!

Kaloki · 08/04/2010 16:17

It's beyond a joke isn't is dinky

And so many people are brushing it off as they think the only way you'll ahve trouble is if you pirate, when that isn't the way that bill works.

Hi ladies

Welcome to the mad house sanctuary

Can't hang around, go to finish my work and then head off for my dance lesson, but I shall pop back later on for a natter.

applecharlotte · 08/04/2010 16:26

dinkytinky - nice to hear i'm not alone. Oh dear, are we meant to avoid diet coke as well? Is that a sweetener thing? I have quite a lot of that oops..!

I also thought that smoking didn't really affect fertility specifically until I read about it this week. I knew it was important to stop when BFP occurs but read that if you smoked it takes around 4 times longer to conceive then a non smoker. Hm. Might explain when everyone around me keeps getting up the duffer on the first go and I didn't.

I've smoked for 10 years (about 10 a day but the last 6 months more like 2 a day on average). God reading that back makes me feel gross.

Is anyone else worried about their smoking past ruining their chances or am I being silly?

Pinkie poo - poor you, stressful meeting. Good luck.

Dinkytinky · 08/04/2010 16:37

Have fun cavemum! kaloki I know! It's all scare tactics I swear, I think people think it will rid the net of peado sites and things like that too but there's absolutly no way to close down and charge people affectively!

Awww pinkie you'll be fine Hun!I'm sure shell like you as much as we all do let us know how you get on!

apple I don't think it affects fertility too much(diet coke)- it's just the amount of caffeine if you get your bfp, which is the only thing I think I'll struggle with because I'm either drinking tea or diet coke non stop.I do neck loads of water though so hopefully it's ok. I'm not too crazy yet. I've cut down on the fags after 10 years too.. With that I think it doesn't affect women but it does affect sperm quality! Snakes an ladders hey?
At the moment I'm just shagging alot around the eight tome and trying to increase ewcm around ov. But if I'm not successful after 3 tries I think I'm going to go on total health bender!

Dinkytinky · 08/04/2010 16:38

Haha 'right time' not eight tome- makese soun like a dogger lol!

luckyseven · 08/04/2010 16:41

Girls - if the control line on a test is dark pink - like cerise pink and a pale pale pale pale line shows up in the test window could it mean ....?

PinkiePoo · 08/04/2010 16:43

luckyseven yes it could very well be.....

Best thing is to do another one tomorrow, your hcg gets stronger everyday so the line should get darker!!

Fingers crossed honey.....could you be our next BFP???????

applecharlotte · 08/04/2010 16:44

dinky - you're making me feel so much better. My OH has always been a non smoker I think I might be joining you on that health kick if this month doesn't work out. Ditch all fags, one cup of tea/coffee a day and just a couple of glasses of wine a week (can't give everything up completely or i'll lose my sanity!) Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that for either of us though...

cavemum - hello - look forward to talking to you soon.

applecharlotte · 08/04/2010 16:45

luckyseven - oh my goodness...that sounds really promising!!! Do another one...

chico193 · 08/04/2010 16:50

I'm not sure whether I should change my CD or not to be honest. I have been bleeding since Tues but lighter than normal AF, and still been feeling sick although that could be from all the chocolate after Easter! I have only used 2 pads in the last 24 hours, but there has been fresh blood and some thicker stuff that could be tissue I guess (sorry TMI). However, I have read on the internet that this can happen at this point in the cycle if you are pregnant.
Should I take a test just to make sure? I feel really stupid for still hoping but I was completely convinced this was the month. I am also aware that if I am pregnant and experiencing bleeding there may be something wrong and I should probably go to the doctors.

Dinkytinky · 08/04/2010 18:18

luckyseven!!!!!!!! wait until 2mo morning and do a test first thing, there's a teeny chance it could be an evaporation line but they are grey in colour not pink and only happen about 15 minutes after testing. Jesus I'm do exciting I'm really really hoping for you!!!!let us know!

Chico I would hold off testing until bleeding stops to be honest but I'm very tightly crossing my fingers for you, good luck xxxxxxxxxx

pinky lots of good luck for your meeting I'm sure shell like you as much as we all do let us know how it goes!

Applehahaha yes maybe we should buy some sweat bands an joggers and do a bit of a rocky montage as part of fitness/health kik?!

luckyseven · 08/04/2010 18:30

dinky apple and pinkypoo I caved in ... Just spent twenty quid on more tests -one clearblue digital (the test I have always dreamed of) and BOGOF early superdrug ones.

Did the superdrug one there now and there is a line - stronger than the boots own brand.

This is so wierd - dh is going straight from work to football so I won't see him til after 9. That gives me 3 hours to think how i am going to tell him (i test cheated on him as i have such a stinking cold i wanted to see if i could get some drugs wired into me), really wasn't expecting this to happen.

Maybe will save the digital one for the morning?

dinky and apple i too am a diet coke aholic!

pinky i hope all goes well for you tonight.

chico193 · 08/04/2010 18:36

Wow congrats luckyseven!

Bleeding has now all but stopped, hardly anything new in the last 24 hours. However, I really don't feel pregnant any more, boobs have practically stopped feeling sore so I don't know what to think...
Going to get a test and maybe try one tomorrow morning just to be sure.

luckyseven · 08/04/2010 18:41

chico193 if you don't have a test handy maybe you have a thermometer in the medicine cabinet and you could take your temp - if it is well above 36 you could still be in with a chance?

chico193 · 08/04/2010 18:42

Only have a really rubbish thermometer so not sure whether that would do any good tbh, thanks for the thought though.

haloflo · 08/04/2010 19:11

Evening. Wow lucky I am so pleased for you! You want to wait til your test tomorrow before we add you to the grads list? I want to come with you so please don't rush off. I'm sure DH won't mind you tested early. Just say it was your pregnancy hormones!

Hello to applecharlotte If you get chance scroll through this thread or the previous one as someone (sorry can't remember who) listed all the things you are supposed to avoid whilst TTC. It was ridiculous! I'm with dinky and just trying to be sensible although I still have 4 caffinated drinks a day.

Hello to womanlytale too!

chico193 I think the only way to know is to test but maybe try to give it a few days and see how you feel then? If it is bleeding connected to implantation then a test might still be too early & if its positive it might just worry you about the bleeding you have had. Good luck though xx

Dinkytinky · 08/04/2010 19:18

Chico do let us know how you get on xxxxx

lucky are you saying very coyly that you've got a bfp then?!?!?!? I'm so happy for you! Have you had any fun ideas for when you tell dh then? Gaaaah I'm so excited!

wannamummy · 08/04/2010 19:19

hello girls!

luckyseven good luck with the test in the morning!

welcome to all the new girls, well I think i'm still a new girl since I joined myself in last week! Everyone really is nice, and having asked a few silly questions myself, dont be afraid to ask if you're not sure of anything!

I'm afraid I'm now going to turn into the green I'm monster Yet another fried has just told us she is 12wk pg... that old feeling of i'm happy for them, but what about me!?!

i've had really bad cramping today, on both sides, so do not know if with it's OV or AF getting ready to say hello, but it's a bit early. I'll just have to keep symptom obessing...

Ariesgirl · 08/04/2010 19:35

Hi all. Have been v quiet over last couple of days - business has gone very busy over easter which is good news for us and probably good for me too as it gets me off MN and back into real life, utter saddo that I am. Cuddled an 8 month baby this afternoon - I nearly kidnapped him .

Welcome new people. Here's to a few months of happy shagging, happy sharing on here and hopefully a nice line on a stick soon.

Don't know if I'm reading this right, but are you saying you've got a BFP, seven? I've been a bit frazzed by the sun today and I think I've lost the ability to read. However being frazzed by the sun is a nice enough novelty so I won't grumble!

Kaloki · 08/04/2010 19:40

Oh forgot to say. Went to the doctor about the cramps, he's referring me for blood tests. There may be a chance it is Coeliacs, otherwise he suspects IBS. Now sure which is worse to be honest..

Hi all,
Been MIA for a while, too much mumsnet whilst TTC is not good for my mental health!

So day 18 today, and got my symptom spotting hat well and truly in place. In fact have just been goggling this brand new symptom I have - dry mouth, literally can't go 30 minutes without slugging water. You know when you get deodorant or soap in your mouth? Like that it's horrid! Anyway in my mad goggling found this website

have a look!

I'm sure its not helping the KKRRAAZZYY symptom spotting but hey ho!

Can someone update my stats to day CD18?

Congrats to the BFP - woop woop!
