Haha I know mrswajs and pinkie! I have no idea where it came from?! Yep dp was with me and he said 'stop now because you're embarrasing yourself' and she humphed off! I think what it is it that they stayed good friends after they split ( they were only together 3 months) and then one year into me an him getting together we moved and she seemed to think I had stolen him?! Like he's a pathetic little push over! Sometimes I really can't be bothered with girls- I can't be arsed with drama queens and all this snipey behaviour, I think it's really chavvy to be honest!

Mrswajs hope venomous little goblin stays away lol!how long til your holiday now?

PinkyUuuuuugh that sounds like a nightmare!!!How old is the kid? If I were you I would just get in a load of DVDs pizza and choccies and hope for the best! Have you met the ex before?

PinkiePoo · 07/04/2010 18:19

dinky they were together for 3 months?? pathetic, if you ask me, crazy lady. She is best off being ignored. Chavtastic indeed!

Their DD is 2, and absolutely adorable. OH and i moved in together in Feb, so this would be her first time staying and at such a young age, i can understand why mummy is a bit nervous considering never met me, so decided to go for a drink, albeit a very swift one i hope, just so she can see i am not a complete loon and very capable of looking after her DD when needed.

Just a bizarre situation, and not one we all want to do, and no never met her, so tomorrow i will be little miss perfect, so she can see how wonderful i am moohhahahahahaha. OH is worried we might get on so well we will end up slagging him off with all his faults, although i must admit there really aren't that many !!!

wannamummy · 07/04/2010 18:45

Evening all! Quick question, having not paid any attention to my cycle for the past goodness knows how long with being on the pill, does anyone have cramping when ovulating?

I've had it now for two days on an off, and if everything is working how it should be with dates, i would be due to OV about now?

I have never noticed how many things actually go on until now! !

Dinkytinky · 07/04/2010 19:14

Wannamummy hi! Yeah around ov time I get on-off pain on whichever sides going. I've only started noticing since ttc too though!

pinkie ahh they're soo cute around that age, I love toddlers! Aw I'm sure you will get on fine, just ask little questions like what her favourite cereal/does she have a favourite bed time story etc- that way you can make sure you get her favourite stuff in before the weekend!

PinkiePoo · 07/04/2010 19:16

wanna i usually get stitch pain and some times EWCM (The nasty stretchy stuff in the knicker region) thats if i do ovulate .

It is funny, being on the pill we are so completely oblivious and then all of a sudden we start tuning into every little twinge and 'symptom spotting' welcome to the world of first time frolickers!!!!

wannamummy · 07/04/2010 20:15

Dinkytinky & PinkyPoo - you're right, you could make a really good kids programme out of that title! Thank you for the advice, you think you know yourself so well, but no!

As for two year olds, i'm finding with neices and godchildren that Peppa Pig is very popular!

Have a nice evening everyone, I'm surfing on here whilst DH is watching the Man U game....

MrsWajs · 07/04/2010 21:50

wannamummy tis indeed completely normal to have cramping time pains around ov time - think it's known as mittelschmerz - German for middle pain lol! You don't get ov pain when you're on the pill as it stops you from ovulating, hence why we don't notice until ttc! I'm feeling very knowledgeable (sp) tonight hee hee!!

Pinky Wow are you nervous for tomorrow? I have never 'officially' met DP's ex just kinda turned up on her doorstep with DP one night to collect DS! She never requested to meet me first and I never asked - thank god!! Think it's good that you're keen to do everything properly though. Hopefully it will save you from the hellish time that I have!! As long as you find out her routine and try and keep it relatively the same you should be fine.

Dinky 3 months!!!! They were together for 3 months!?? OMG - what a loon!! Bet you're glad you've moved now! Are you still planning on getting your new house in the same area?? Holidays 9 weeks today I think - just tried to count it on my fingers but my mental arithmetic is appalling!! Was really hoping I'd be pg before then but it's not looking so likely now More annoying is the fact that we were gonna book a 2 week all inclusive deal to the carribbean but chose not to because we were ttc and didn't fancy flying half way around the world if I was likely to be preggers! So opted for the med instead but I guess I should just be bloody grateful that we can afford a holiday when a lot of people don't even have jobs!

MrsWajs · 07/04/2010 21:51

meant to say cramping type pains not time pains lol

Kaloki · 08/04/2010 00:08

I'm thinking about stopping TTC and saving up to leave the UK seeing as it is run by a load of imbeciles who have no right whatsoever to have any say in the way the country is run. So they can fuck right off.

I don't want to bring a kid up in this shitty world

Have you been watching Question Time again Kaloki?

No really, hope you are ok and nothing bad has happened x

CaveMum · 08/04/2010 06:50

Morning all! Far too early to be chirpy I know! Being a very good girl and jumping on the Wii Fit every morning for a bit to try and keep myself in trim. I must be mad as I've got 2 dance lessons tonight too - 1 lesson for me and 1 that I'm helping to teach.

Anyhoo, hope you're all well and happily SWI-ing!

haloflo · 08/04/2010 07:23

Morning all. Sorry i've been quiet all week, work has been busy & I'm also trying not to obsess too much. I'm going to whispher my symptoms to you though.

PinkiePoo · 08/04/2010 09:01

cavemum what an early post!! Are you a dance teacher??

luckyseven · 08/04/2010 09:39

haloflo thanks for thinking of me - i have got myself all confused this month with dates. Temps and CBFM matched up and said that i ovd early on CD9 so might be due today if it was a 14 day luteal phase but could be over the weekend like you. have no first response left after being 3 days 'late' last month!

I am also in denial , getting my hopes up in the past has only led to diappointment. I have a stinking cold and really angry spots on my chin but that could also be put down to being at a wedding in the rain on Tuesday and giving the mother of the bride my umbrella and the spots could be from getting my make up done with different products - naturally i have googled these symptoms and google says pg - but if you look hard enough google will always say 'mm could be pg'

Real life is pretty busy and i am off work this week, poor dh is super stressed at work and has been working 80+ hour weeks for the last two months and every weekend, i even had to give him a free pass to miss the wedding service on Tuesday so he could work on from home in fear he would have a nervous breakdown. He works as a consultant and his firm are (fill in the blanks i have loads i could say about them) but basically it is legal slavery!

dinky bellaby good luck in the next few days, i hope our dreams come true.

Right i am pulling myself together, taking off my grumpy pants and going to get ready to go up the mountain with family for some fresh air!

PinkiePoo not as such! I have a regular 9-5 office job but I'm training in my spare time as a Latin American dance teacher.

I already help teach salsa classes but am training up on my Rumba, Jive, Cha Cha, Samba and Paso Doble. Hence why I'm taking one lesson in Latin at 6 tonight and then teaching a salsa class at 7.30. Thursdays are always a bit manic for me!

Waiting on one set of exam results at the moment and have another exam on 9th May

I'm nowhere near taking the teaching exams at the moment so these exams are all testing my dancing at the moment.

Dinkytinky · 08/04/2010 11:26

Morning! Ah what's up kaloki? I'm with claire on question time- I just wish that they would ANSWER the questions, it's more like evasion/blabering/botching time!

Ohh get you cavemum! That's dedication, I used to help out in dance classes too, what do you do?

halo ooh snap with the symptoms, I really really hope so . I'm not due until a week today, but I'm thinking of doing an early one Sunday-I hate getting AF, it's definitly insult to injury! Good luck to you and lucky and bellaby pinkie and mrswajs I'm so glad you lot understand about loony ex's hope you're having a good day!

cherry and Aries you've been unusually quiet! Hope you're ok! Xxxx

PinkiePoo · 08/04/2010 11:34

Caveman sounds great, I would love to do salsa. I am also a dance teacher but in Jazz,Tap and Ballet. LOVE IT!! But really wanted to do salsa, and also this new Zumba everyone is raving about, have you done it?

Thanks dinky the meeting is tonight. Words cannot describe how much i do not want to go, i am only doing it for my oh, he better appreciate it and shower me with gifts for this!!

Chanel Bag, flowers, wine (if AF TURNS UP) and lots of SWI if needed!!

Kaloki · 08/04/2010 11:56

Worse than question time, we watched the Digital Economy Bill vote last night. It was fucking ridiculous. All those who opposed it turned up to debate it, but those who had been told to let it through sat in the canteen until the vote. Not even bothering to hear the reasons against.

And now it's gone through.

Complete with clauses saying that they can ban websites (hello China!), that the secretary of state can change it without a debate, and that you only need to be suspected of piracy to be warned/cut off, and the onus is on you to prove innocence. They will also be sharing your information with corporations. And there's more. They've just hidden it behind some misguided moral superiority over piracy so that no one sees how controlling the bill really is, and how much it is going to stifle UK innovation in the internet.

If we could last night, we'd have jumped on a plane. Still want to.

Ooh cavemum and pinkiepoo teach me how to dance!!

OP posts:
haloflo · 08/04/2010 12:31

Hello again, I had a little (tmi alert) brown blood on my knickers this morning so popped a panty liner in. There has been no more blood since then. I am cramping today though, pretty much the same as the day before AF, so I reckon i'll know one way or the other fairly shortly.

I don't normally spot so my hopes are still very quietly raised but really I don't know what normal is when i've only had a few months without the pill.

lucky good luck to you too. Are you really going up a mountain? Poor DH, sounds like he needs a holiday/new job. Must be tough working for a company like that.

dinky good luck for sunday, remember not to be down if its a BFN before AF is due.

Thanks for treats pinkie I'll just hold my glass of wine for now and have it ready in case AF arrives.

I will join in the dancing too but only if I get a BFP! (Not that I can dance, I'll just follow everyone else & a few seconds behind.)

CaveMum · 08/04/2010 12:59

PinkiePoo, salsa is great fun! We always have a ball and never take it very seriously! We refer to it as "the peasant dance" as there is very little formality and lots of bum wiggling involved!

I've not tried Zumba myself, but one of the girls that helps out in our class has. She loves it!

I took Argentine Tango lessons a few years ago when DH was in Iraq and really enjoyed that. Sadly they moved the night of the class and it clashed with my salsa class so I had to stop.

DH and I are going to start Ballroom lessons with my teacher next month. We're not going to take it really seriously, may do the odd medal exam (we follow the ISTD syllabus) but nothing much. Just gives us a chance to do something new together.

I can promise you that any offspring of mine will be straight off to the dance classes! I didn't start dancing till I was 22 and enjoy it so much that I really regret not learning as a child.

PinkiePoo · 08/04/2010 14:11

Sounds pretty good. I also do ISTD syllabus but in Modern and Tap and RAD for ballet.

I get you on the offspring front too.....my mum is a ballet teacher and me and my sisters all followed in her footsteps. Great profession but also incredibly difficult!

womanlytales · 08/04/2010 14:37

Hi there,
Could you please add me to the list too?

Womanlytales TTC#1, Cycle1, UCL28, CD18

Thanks

applecharlotte · 08/04/2010 15:11

Hi all,

You all seem really nice and I need some support, I think, so please can I join you?

Been ttc my first since Jan, though must say not trying very hard eg doing it at all the wrong times, OH drinking a bit too much and me having the odd fag.

I'm 30 with regular periods, BMI 21 and know I need not worry at this stage but a v close friend announced she was pregnant this week and it has knocked me for six! Obviously over the moon for her but felt totally devastated/jealous/sad for myself and worried that it might not happen for us.

Its taken me by surprise, I guess I want a baby much more then I originally thought... can anyone else relate?

Also I want to add my name to the list but have no idea what UCL is:

Unusually Concave Labia? Um.. not a clue.

Thanks in advance, hope you're all enjoying the sun today

luckyseven · 08/04/2010 15:32

hi applecharlotte and womanlytales i am back from climbing the mountain and will add you both to the list and update for today.

Applecharlotte* can you give me your details ... TTC#1 Cycle (how many cycles/periods have you had since Jan) and UCL is Usual cycle length in days and then you need to say which day in your cycle you are on today with cycle day 1 being the first day of your last period.

You both will be amazed how everyone here is going through the exact experiences, hopes and fears that you are and this is a lovely sanctuary where anything goes, you can never share too much information, and we will provide a shoulder to cry on and have poms poms at the ready to cheer the next BFP!
