Wow!!!, congratulations mumsnerves, fabulous news - lol at " wow, my balls do work!"

Happy birthday aries, hope you enjoy your surprise at the spa - lol at 'Spar'

Hey Bellaby, yes I am over that way , hope the weather holds for the wedding, it's looking a little grey around here today.

Oh, Cavemum, we are very near to each other! We live in the middle of nowhere a very small village between Cambridge and Newmarket where I think you are

Luckyseven, I have family in Northern Ireland parents and brother and his family. I was speaking with my Mum last night and she was telling me how bad the weather had been, also saw news reports about it - take care of yourself if you are out and about

That's it from me, sorry I haven't 'spoken' to you all again, hope everyone has a good Easter break!!

Ariesgirl · 01/04/2010 14:39

Cavemum and everyone else - so sorry, didn't see you lovely posts earlier. Wasn't expecting one before I logged on at something past 8! And I didn't log on last night and it seems to have got very busy. Thanks for the kind birthday wishes anyway.

Spar was lovely . The lady was so funny - she and I just spent the whole time gossiping and ranting instead of relaxing. Got a new chum there I think - she lives near me anyway.

Calligraphy, sorry to hear about your hyperthyroidism . That must be a kick in the guts. Is it something that's chronic or will they be able to "cure" it? Is that why you've been feeling a bit wiped out?

chalky3 · 01/04/2010 14:53

Haven't been on for a few days and there are so many new posts!

Congratulations aly323!

Welcome SpanishLady

Sorry to all those who have got AF.

I would love to reply to everyone individually but I think I'd have to start a whole new thread!

Latest in the Chalky camp is that I'm almost 100% certain that I ov'd yesterday. I don't temp or monitor in any way (I'm mental enough with TTC already without doing that!) but I felt nauseous for four days beforehand (get that before AF, though not usually ov)) then yesterday had pains low down in my abdomen and the sicky feeling had gone. I've been feeling constipated for a few days and feel like I have cystitis, both of which always happen around ov (sorry if TMI!) The timing would be almost perfect too. Felt very stressed out and tearful yesterday too. DH was lovely. He asked me as soon as I woke up if I had 'egg whites' yet (yes, cue SWI!) then cuddled me when I was having a stress out later on and said 'it's probably your egg hormones'! Isn't it weird how in tune we get with our bodies when TTC? I'd never noticed all these things before! It won't stop me madly symptom spotting in a couple of weeks though and trying to convince myself I feel 'different' this time!
I feel a bit more normal today thankfully, now for the 2ww...

haloflo · 01/04/2010 14:54

Good afternoon everyone. My bank holiday weekend has started early so I thought I'd catch up with everyone and then head out for a run.

Firstly congradulations to mumsnerves !!!! Am really pleased for you. I know all the grads are trying to pinch you but keep in touch!

Hello to Spanishlady Just read your story and I reckon you are in with a good chance this month! With the positive OPK & lots of BDing you hopefully have timed it right. My fingers are crossed for you.

Cavemum Im really pleased everything is nearly all systems go! A summer 2011 baby sounds lovely! I didn't know about being on folic acid 3 months before getting pg (I was a bit naive at the start to say the least) I have now been on it 3 months so thats one good thing about being on cycle 4! You are clearly going to a brill mum with the start you are giving your little one.

kkas No idea about conflicting FF & EWCM, maybe it will become clearer as you complete the month? Hopefully it won't even matter! Also do you and any others who temp know the best/cheapest place to get a digital thermometer from? They are £12.99 from boots, much cheaper on the internet but i'm fed up waiting for orders to arrive in the post.

calligraphy I really sorry you being ill, it sounds like no fun. I hope the other tests help the docs work out whats wrong and get you better quickly.

cherrycobbler Sorry about BFN. Has your AF arrived today? I hope not but that you are ok if it has.

Dinky How did the house hunting go? I love looking at houses but the thought of having to pack all our stuff up puts me straight off looking for a new place. And as others have said you are not a looney worrier, just a normal caring future mother!

luckyseven I'm due Sunday 11 April (seems forever away!) and am currently trying to ignore the 2ww. I might give in to testing a week Saturday as I don't like to keep myself hoping. I know its silly as its never over until AF arrives but I can't help it! Thanks for the birthday wishes, im 25 this time. You going to have a big do for your 30th?

Happy Birthday ariesgirl Glad you enjoyed your Spa.

Bellaby Enjoy your wedding ! I clearly am no expert but I really did enjoy reading TCOYF. Hopefully your peak is just around the corner and last week's busy week & being under the weather won't matter.

Mrswajs Your post about glowing made me laugh. I think with the bad skin, throwing up, weight gain, aches and pains glowing is rare!

Whiteroses I've always been to scared to even peak at the graduates thread but after your friendly invite I will give it a read & see how everyone is.

Hello pipsicles There are are a few who are due AF in the next couple of days so you are in good company. I'm sure someone will add you to the list when its next updated.

chalky3 · 01/04/2010 14:54

Welcome to pipsicles too. You've found the right place! Sorry about your BFN.

felicityFlick · 01/04/2010 14:56

Hi Chico- don?t think we have ?met? yet- it is good to see you returning from being MIA

How are you calligraphy? I?m so glad that you have been diagnoised and are on the road to recovery. You will start feeling so much better once your tablets kick in and then you won?t feel so tired. You?re luck that you have whiteroses here to advise you too as she is an expert I had a little laugh at your TTC tourettes as I am the same. I keep advising all of my friends on the pill to stop taking it as you never know how long your body will take to get back into it?s cycle but they just laugh at me and say I?m obsessed(which of course I am!)

evil- glad you got on ok at the doctors and that your mind was put at rest and also that your doctor was nice and understanding and didn?t just dismiss your concerns. You hear about that happening so much that it is so good that your doctor was supportive.

zippys- glad you didn?t buy that duo fertility thing! I must admit I have had a little look at those too after someone posted about it on one of the other threads on conception. Have you had your docs appointment yet this week? If so, hope all went well. You asked about my dad a few pages back... his scan results were all clear which is great of course but he is still suffering with headaches and sickness and they are no further forward with what it is They are now thinking that it may be arthritis in his neck or back and he is waiting for a neck and back scan. Thanks for asking xx

Hi sevans- I?ll definitey still be here in the summer too so look forward to having you back xxx

Welcome to spanishlady- we?ll keep you company here! Glad you had a nice time with your friend?s babies. I am also charting my temperature at the minute- this is my second cycle doing it and it helps me to think that I am taking control even though we know that we can?t really control our cycles. I hope that AF stays away tomorrow- when will you POAS? if no AF tomorrow?

cavemum- great news!! yay- you must be so excited. It?s great to have a plan isn?t it?! You have really been doing your research re mortgages and maternity leave and all of that is really handy to know. So glad your DH does not need to go to Afghanistan until 2012... one of my dear friend?s DP is out there now and I know just how tough it is for those left at home.

mumnerves sorry you had to cancel your break, I know how much you were looking forward to that too Hope the visit to dh?s anutie went ok and now you have your well deserved BFP! so pleased for you- you deserve a bit of luck and you?ve been so lovely and helpful to me with all my questions about FF. I definitely think FF and temp charting is the way to go after yours and bunny?s success!

mrswajs Good news on only one cast and your dh just being unlucky! Any news on AF yet? Perhaps you have ovulated late due to everything that has been going on? OOOO have now just read your last post about your colleague asking if you were preggers....The cramping is a very good sign. When will you test again? You deserve some luck lady!

Dear aries Hope you?re having a lovely time at the Spar!! he he! Let us know what is booked. You will probably be in pampering heaven as I type this. Have a lovely day and please don?t feel sad, especially when the sun has got his hat on for your birthday! I know EXACTLY what you mean about wanting to know that you can get pregnant. If/when I do get pregnant I think I will freak out as I have not connected that being pregnant leads to having a baby. Ps. POAS when?! PPS. I?ve taken so long to type this that you are back from the spar! Just seen your last post about your new mate! What treatments did you have done?

dinky- you were right when you said on Monday that you had a good feeling about this week!! Maybe we?ll have some more BFP?s by the end of it too I love ?The Great Sperm Race? I watched it when it was on last year and loved it then when I wasn?t even ttc obsessed! Just saw your post on your CM.... any more symptoms?!

lucky my very fertile friend who is my TTC guru and just knows everything about TTC informed me that for the first few weeks ( I think she said 4 or 5 but can?t remember) the baby is in it?s sac and has it?s own supply of nutrients etc. It is only after then that the baby starts to take things from you so if you were to have a drink in the 2ww wait when you would be 1-2 weeks pregnant it wouldn?t be a disaster. I think you should relax and enjoy yourself with a wine. I have just seen that cavemum ha written the same so it must be true

haloflo I love TCOYF!! It is on my bedside table and I look at it all teh time- geek I know! I really enjoy temperature charting and looking at my little graph. Have you had a look at Fertility Friend? If you love TCOYF you will love FF

aly How are you feeling? Hope you got yourself some nice proteins at the shops. A nice big juicy steak should do the trick! Good luck with the sugar test on Saturday. Bless your dh being so sweet. Keep all of our seats warm on the grads board please

biscuit Hope you?re feeling a little more cheery now- I so know what you mean about bfn?s being insultingly fast! Like kaloki says December is not the best month for a birthday. It will be much nicer for your baby to have a birthday in January (mine is then!) so when everyone has the January blues their birthday is an excuse for a post christmas party That?s how I view my birthday anyway.

hermya That?s a funny game! Week full of visitors has been lovely but now they have gone and we have some respite until Saturday when dh?s parents arrive for two weeks. Yikes!! I hope that you?re doing ok- I??ve not had a chance to get over to the grads boards yet but I shall pop by later on and catch up on how you?re all getting on. Do you have a biscuit saved for me?! (although it might get mouldy by the time I get there!)

kaloki Oh my goodness that wedding sounded like a shocker! he he!! Really sorry about af too Bloody bitch indeed!

wannamum Hope you?re now feeling at home on our lovely thread

cherrycobbler Any more symptoms? I am also convinced that I am the infertile friend so I?m afraid that it is not going to be you

bellaby OOOO I love a wedding! who?s is it? Hope you have now arrived safe and soundly. I didn?t see any Mr. Men but what a fab idea! which ones were they dressed as?!

calyx- hope your PC is soon fixed and that you will soon be back in all your posting glory

whiteroses- you are so thoughtful and sweet to update the future grads list for us. Really looking forward to getting over there!

Welcome pipsiclesmay your stay be short and sweet!

Good to hear from you claire- I wonder if you and cavemum actually know each other in real life! How weird if you did!

Hello to papertiger stiffybyng and kkas hope you?re all ok

kurly we miss you if you are lurking.

That is me done now! Hope have not missed anyone out. I think my dh wants to divorce me now as I keep saying ?one more minute? and he keeps trying to look at my screen while I am hiding it! I will go and speak to him now before our next load of visitors arrive on Saturday... aghhh!!

felicityFlick · 01/04/2010 15:01

Sorry, crossed posts with chalky and haloflo whilst posting my essay above!

oh chalky bless your lovely dh and the 'egg hormones'. All is sounding promising for your ovving. Hope the 2ww goes quickly for you xx

Ariesgirl · 01/04/2010 15:02

Aaah Felicity I'm deeply admiring of the long posts that some of you lovely lot type, after trawling through everyone's updates. I'm so shit like that - sorry everyone. It's just me, me me! Spar was nice - had facial and a deeply relaxing massage. Then I ate my own bodyweight in scones and cream on the terrace over looking the sea and annoyed the Americans behind me by texting relentlessly. Mwah ha ha ha haaaar!

SpanishLady · 01/04/2010 15:39

Ha Americans! Very nice but also very annoying at times - loads work with me so have a love/hate relationship with them.

sounds like a perfect b-day.

Hi Felicity! Well, I am thinking that I dont need to POAS tomorrow as AF arriving will petty much act as a BFN. So if no show then will POAS on Saturday.

DH will somehow have to help me as I am regular as clockwork so a no-show tomorrow will freak me out ( ;

wannamummy · 01/04/2010 15:44

Hey everyone, I've been watching what's going on but not had time to post!

Congratulations Mumsnerves!!! This seems to be a lucky place to be!

Would it be really bad to confess that DH doesnt know I'm lurking about on here?! As we've just started TTC, we're 'seeing what happens'... but i'm thoroughly obsessed!!!

Like everyone else, friends are having babies like they're going out of fashion... One friend's due to have #2 on 11 April which also happens to be my birthday 31 here we come...

Going to have to investigate all this temperature taking etc, seems I've a lot to learn!

Sorry for the rant, sent home sick with throat infection and feeling rather sorry for myself (meant to be sleeping!)
xxx

Ariesgirl · 01/04/2010 15:54

Oh to be 31!

My DH has absolutely no idea how much time I spend on here or quite how obsessed I am. If I mentioned egg white to him in a non-culinary way, he would run screaming from the the room. You are not alone

Hope you feel better soon.

Hermya321 · 01/04/2010 15:59

Felicity Theres a biscuit saved for everybody when they get there, I made a deal with a rather nice man from McVicties a while back . I'm doing ok, I assume things are going well for LO at the mo. I've got my scan next week so I'll let you know how that goes. I can't believe how fast the last few weeks have gone, seems like only yesterday I was on here whinging about crying in front of my tutors. I actually spoke to my boss about that the other day and he said, 'well considering the fact that you were pregnant, I think you did really well'. Cheered me up no end let me tell you.

wannamummy · 01/04/2010 16:07

Thank you Ariesgirl! i'm sure being off for the weekend will help, a little rest in order i think!

Dinkytinky · 01/04/2010 16:14

Hello girlies ( haha even more contraversial!) ooh I have to say when I saw how many posts ha happened since last night I said to the cat 'ohhhh someone got a bfp!!' mumsnerves thatis asplutley amazing news! So soso pleased for you congratulations!

We seem to have alot of people who are nearly late or already late so I'm sure there will be some more bfp's before next weekend!

Aries happy birthday again! Sounds like great laugh at spar! Lol at Americans getting annoyed, I know it's naughty to laugh but I used to work next door to a castle (seriously!) and one sweet American couple came in to asked me if it was genuine!!! I love making friends at random places- and deffo know what you mean about RL friends- I wouldn't say alot of the stuff I say on here to them, also alot of mine are total drama queens and forever bitchihg and falling out!

bellaby oooh don't get me started on George osborn! The consevatives in my opinion are makig a whole bunch of promises they can't keep. Like today they're balking at labour NI increase plans but at the end of the day, we are in a deficite (which the conservative are forever harping on about) and taxation does have to be increased to make up for the cuts we had two years ago. I truly hate politicians who play the opposite game, where they just instantly disagree with the opposition just because. I'm not alistair darling/ Gordon browns biggest fan but they are good economists and while descisions they are making aren't nessacerily popularthry are what isneeded to promote growth and in turn provide a higher standard on living for all of us. Phew! Sorry about that and all the typos!

CaveMum · 01/04/2010 16:55

Oooo claire a local fellow frolicker! How exciting! Knowing this part of the world we've probably passed in the street! You weren't a regular at De Niros a few years back were you?! Seemed to spend a large part of my early/mid-20s there! Even met DH there on a drunken night out!

Thinking I may talk DH into getting the old Pregnacare his n hers this weekend. I know my luck, if I wait until I come of the pill before I start taking it I'll fall pregnant straight away & spend the next 9 months stressing that something will be wrong with my baby!

I ought to say there is no guarantee that DH won't go to Afghanistan before 2012, but if his boss is pushing for a home based tour it is good news. The way it works is that they spend approx 18 months - 2 years in each job, do 2 tours at home and then do a tour abroad. DH last went overseas in summer 2007 to the Falklands and is in his second job at home since. So technically he is due to go.

His brother was in Afghanistan in late 08/early 09 and they lost 2 guys .

Must think positive! DH is not going anywhere, at least for the time being!

kkas · 01/04/2010 18:30

mumnerves fantastic! so happy for you

aries happy birthday! glad you had a nice time at spar [sink] i know exactly what you mean about at least wanting to know that you can be pg like other women. sometimes i think that's actually what i want, even more than the LO at the end. probably just me being insecure. But then i remember how i am when i am around my niece and other babies and remember that i do actually really want one too! just so frustrating!

aly thanks for keeping my place warm. i'll try to join you guys asap!

calligraphy sorry to hear about your condition. but hopefully they can treat it and you will start to feel better soon.

haloflo thanks for your comments - not sure where else to buy a thermometer. i bought the £12.99 boots one and actually to tell the truth i bought it twice as the battery died this month in the first one i bought about 5 months ago (yes i have been using it that much!) - ridiculous i know but i am a crazy baby lady.....

cavemum i'm thinking positive thoughts for you!

dinky and aries true confession - i am originally from california - but no offence! i'm sure i have amused many with my american ways.... love the story re the castle! only hope that i'm somewhat 'normal' as i have lived in the uk nearly 8 years now!

welcome to our newbies and hello and welcome to the easter weekend to everyone else!

kkas · 01/04/2010 18:30

aries sorry - that was meant to be a !

Ariesgirl · 01/04/2010 18:46

Don't take anything amiss by my observations of the Americans. It's just they happened to be American. Do you see? I'd have said the same if they'd been Outer Mongolian. Or Armernian. Or Korean. You get my drift...

Dinkytinky · 01/04/2010 18:46

Lol sorry kkas! it works the other way round too- my sister had an American friend from uni to stay and my mum offered her some home made soup. And the girl said how she loves hot biscuits with soup. So my poor mum microwaved some digestives and put them on a plate in the middle of the table for everyone to dunk them in their soup!
Welcome pipsicles!! Everyones very friendly here!
Nice to see you whiteroses! I think you graduated before I joined but lovely to hear you're ok etc - I had hyperthyroidism too and I'm guessing were around the same age!

chalky3 · 01/04/2010 19:11

Ooo, congrats mumsnerves! How did I miss your post?! Must be post nightshift tiredness!

chalky3 · 01/04/2010 19:15

Who suggested drinking grapefruit juice to increase EWCM? I've been forcing it down for a couple of days, it's horrible!!! Think I would rather drink a bottle of the alternaive, cough medicine!

pipsicles · 01/04/2010 19:59

It's great getting to know some of you today! Can anyone clarify EWCM? I've got an idea of what it might be, but could do with being told.

Cramps and nausea today - AF is prolly on her way now !

haloflo · 01/04/2010 20:19

Ever since about 3 this evening i've felt sick. Not like i'm actually going to be sick but nauseous. Looking my at my app on my phone I had this sympton on CD 20 last month (I'm CD 19 today) I feel so rubbish that I've cancelled on going to my work friends retirement party. I feel really guilty as well now so this means it better be an early pg sympton! As it happened last month too though, my sane head is figuring not. Also I'm only approx 5 dpo which clearly means it can't be a sympton as I thought it was the HCG that causes sickness which wont even be being produced yet. Anyone else get this each month? Any thoughts?

And chalky, ive never had grapefruit juice but right now the idea is bleugh. I wonder if I need to increase EWCM too though. Aparently you should have 4 days of it in your twenties and I only have 2 quite er light days of it. (Sorry if this whole post is tmi!)

On a lighter note anyone seen the easter smileys?! ! They make me think of you bunny! I forgot to say before its good to hear from you.

mumnerves · 01/04/2010 20:24

Thank you everyone for the congratulations and lovely sweet messages

For those of you symptom spotters, the only thing out of the ordinary I had were very sore full boobs. My nipples ached from about 4 dpo. About 8 dpo I actually woke up in the middle of the night from the pain in my boobies. I'm cramping quite a bit and it does worry me. It seems to get worse if I'm stressed or in a rush, so better slow down a bit now I know what's causing it. Other than that, nothing else.
Couldn't sleep last few nights as felt warm, but the weather is improving so just thought it was that. No particularly bad mood swings, in fact I'm less moody than when I'm pre-menstrual.

Hope to see more of you get BFPs soon. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for all of you!

Ariesgirl Hope you've had a good birthday. You've not long started TTC so, I'm sure you'll be joining us on the grads thread soon. I know what you mean about just wanting to get pregnant. It's only starting to hit me and DH that pregnancy results in a baby at the end.

spanishlady I started charting my temps 3 cycles ago and only properly for 2. It really showed me when I ovulated and how varied my ovulation could get. If anything, it just tells you more about your cycle. Good luck with the temping

pipsicles welcome to the nicest TTC thread on MN

chalky3 aww at your DH being so sweet

flick good luck with your temping, I didn't think I'd been particularly helpful , I hope you understand your cycle more now? I think FF was a great help to me with understanding when I was ov etc.

dinkytinky lol at you telling the cat someone got a BFP!

Sorry ladies if I don't come on for a few days, going to DH's aunt's place tomorrow and won't be back till late sunday. Have a lovely easter everyone! Hope you're all chocolated out by Monday!

mumnerves · 01/04/2010 20:26

chalky I was drinking grapefruit juice this month and I did see extra EWCM. I on the other hand am weird and actually enjoyed it
