Hello AriesGirl, Mumnerves, Haloflo, Calligraphy, DinkyTinky et al!

Still feeling pretty crap this morning, but is good to know I'm not alone!!! It least its almost Easter, which means an excess of chocolate to tide me over. xxx

zippys · 30/03/2010 11:37

Frolickers I need your help - please talk me out of this purchase. I have been reading another thread on the conception board about www.duofertility.com which takes your temp etc for you all day and produces the graphs etc - only problem is its £495. Am I mad even considering it??

Ariesgirl · 30/03/2010 11:39

I haven't even looked at it but can safely say that spending that much on an item is mad! Just imagine if it doesn't do anything for you - how crap will you feel?

zippys · 30/03/2010 11:48

I know thats what my logical brain is saying - but my TTC brain says what if it does work and if thats the case I would quite happily pay that much. Stupid I know!

Dinkytinky · 30/03/2010 12:21

Ah zippys I'm with Aries on this one, it's soo much money and there's no guarentee you'll get your bfp as a result.save your pennies for when baby makes an appearence. Don't worry though,it's just crazy baby lady madness. I watched the great sperm race on YouTube last night and found it really Interesting, I shall go find you the link xxxx

Kaloki · 30/03/2010 12:25

zippys Don't do it! Like Dinky said, put the money aside for you future baby!

I'm trying to stay positive, I'm looking at it as "thak god it wont be a December baby"

I tend to want to hibernate in December, it's my least favourite month.

Dinkytinky · 30/03/2010 12:26

Here you go the great sperm race

it's in 6 parts an first one is missing but you don't miss any of the actual documentary-just the talky bit in the beginning.

Ariesgirl · 30/03/2010 12:44

See how my days clock ever nearer the 29. Am not symptom spotting. No really, am not. Don't think I ov-ed this month even. Haven't even got sore boobs and usually they're agony by now, and not a vein in sight. You watch - the bastard will turn up as Big Ben heralds my mid 30s.

maamalady · 30/03/2010 12:47

Ok, my doctor's report. She was not at all concerned about CD60 - as we've heard before she confirmed that it's perfectly normal not to have AF for up to six months after stopping the pill. She has said that I can go in again in the next week or two for a blood test to see if I'm pregnant or not if still no AF. She suggested I do another test tomorrow as the last one I did was last Wednesday. If the blood test comes back BFN then no big deal and I can arrange my smear test and just wait for AF to turn up.

It was quite nice as she seemed totally non-worried, and has reassured me that there's nothing really wrong if I am not pregnant as it's very common. So, back to the waiting game and I shall probably ring up about a blood test next week sometime.

Dinkytinky · 30/03/2010 18:11

Hi frolickers! Ooh it's a bit quiet round these parts today. I've been having a cruise round some of te preggers forums and frightened myself- the baby name board is soo bitchy- I saw some ladies really slagging off some of the names I like, if I get my bfp this month I'm only asking frolickers opinions!
I don't know why but I'm really sure I ov'D 3 days early (the day after my pouncing on dp) and now (TMI alert) I've got alot of white creamy cm. Fingers crossed hey?

Aries well done you!I can't help but google everything!maybe no sore boobs is good boobs?! Is your AF due on your bday?!

evilgiraffeI'm glad your doc appointment went well, it sounds at least like she took you seriously so lots of good luck testing and good luck with blood tests too x

is everyone watching the last OBEM tonight?

zippys · 30/03/2010 18:31

ok I think you confirmed what I thought! I will save my money (or maybe buy some shoes instead!)

evilgiraffe I am glad your doctor took you seriously and that you feel a little better about everything. Maybe now you can relax a little your AF will arrive.

Aries I keep telling myself the same - I am not symptom spotting this month but at 2dpo I am already checking boobs!!! I just hope you get the best birthday present ever.

Dinky yes I will be watching OBEM. I have to admit a little obsession with Discovery Home and Health - baby whisperer, baby story, home birth diaries etc etc
Creamy CM sounds a good sign - keeping finges and everything else crossed for you x

CaveMum · 30/03/2010 18:52

Evening dinkytinky, tis very quiet this evening!

I certainly intend to be watching OBEM tonight, and if I get my dinner cooked in time I will also watch Supersize v Superskinny - don't like watching it whilst eating!

I've been doing my research pre my chat with DH this weekend: turns out mortgage companies cannot discriminate against you because you are pregnant or on maternity leave. As long as you have evidence of your pay and sometimes a letter from your employer stating that you are returning to your job you should be ok.

On top of that good news DH told me today that his boss is pushing for him to do an "in command" tour as his next job which means he won't have to go to Afghanistan till 2012 at the earliest!

Things are definitely looking up and just between us ladies DH told me this evening that he thinks we should "just get on with it" as far as small people are concerned!

Exciting times!
Hope everyone else has had a good day

CaveMum · 30/03/2010 18:55

Sorry zippys didn't mean to not say hi to you! Started writing my post about half an hour ago but DH phoned me in the meantime and I got sidetracked!

sevans · 30/03/2010 18:59

Hey! I just wanted to pop in and say congrats to aly!!

Sorry for hardly posting but since I'm not TTC at the moment, I really don't have much to share . Babies aren't on my mind 24 hours a day like before. I think we may start trying again over the summer. I have some things I want to get out of the way first.

I hope everyone is doing well! Lots of wishes for more BFPs!

zippys · 30/03/2010 19:07

Cavemum thats excellent news, I am so happy for you, you can now fully join the boob jiggling, symptom spotting madness

Sevans so lovely to hear from you. Keep in touch, I am sure I will still be on here in the summer so will see you then!!

it is snowing! What is going on?

chico193 · 30/03/2010 20:52

Csvemum - when you say about mortgage companies, do you mean that you can suspend/reduce mortgage payments while you are on maternity leave?

Ariesgirl · 30/03/2010 20:52

Calligraphy! . He could be about to tell you you're a bit anaemic or something. Come come. I know it's easy for me to say, but worrying about it will only make it worse. Good luck at the docs, but it's probably nothing to stress about.

I'm guessing you're in the north somewhere luckyseven! No snow here, but it's blowing an absolute gale.

CaveMum · 30/03/2010 20:53

calligraphy (((hugs))) I know it probably doesn't help but I guess you have to tell yourself that if something was wrong they'd tell you to come to the surgery straight away.

Hope it all turns out ok.

CaveMum · 30/03/2010 21:24

Chico I'm referring to getting a new mortgage as we're looking to move house next year.
I think mortgage holidays etc are dependent on providers and your individual contract - some companies are happy for you to take a break and others won't.

mumnerves · 30/03/2010 21:28

Biscuit Glad you're feeling a bit better

Evilgiraffe Your dr sounds nice and hopefully it's put your mind at ease and you will get AF soon

zippys Glad to hear you were dissuaded from buying that thing. Isn't it just Basal body temperature that's important hence taking it straight after waking anyway? Yes, good idea to buy more shoes imho

Cavemum, you're right no one can discriminate against you having children. It would be serious sexual discrimination. So pleased that DH won't be going to Afghanisthan next year, what good news and you must be loving the support from him re TTC

Sevans Nice of you to pop in! Hope the things you need to get out of the way are nice things and nothing too serious

Calligraphy82 If it was something extremely important they would have asked you to go in straight away. It's probably something simple like low iron levels, or did they do a rubella antibody test? Maybe it was just below the required level? Didn't know you were poorly recently. Are you feeling better now? I think you should definately sack the keyboard.

Aries Hoping you get a nice surprise BFP for your birthday

We haven't re-booked our holiday yet. Maybe in May bank holiday sometime. Can't afford it as we've spent what we had going over to Aunt's. Ah well, such is life

Not much to report from me. Boobs feel really really painful and full but I'm just putting it down to AF being due anytime soon. Also getting cramping worse than previous months so probably whatever's up down there is getting worse, or it's constipation. Am just SO moody but I've had to cancel holiday, so that would explain it! (see, I'm not symptom spotting if I come up with an explanation ) Temp still hasn't plummeted but I'm due tomorrow, so, just wait and see.

I will be watching OBEM but on catchup maybe tomorrow. Have a nice evening everyone! Sorry if I've missed anyone x
