Hey everyone. Really can't reply to all the posts, been too many since I was last here. Our internet died, and much hassle ensued. We've only just got it back. I'm in a foul mood though as my PC wont connect wirelessly (DP decided I didn't need a longer cable, turns out I do ) and am stuck on DP's sodding MAC laptop (I hate it I hate it)

Still more cramps here. It's been non-stop, got 4 hours sleep night before last because of them, then because I tensed up yesterday, my back wouldn't let me sleep properly last night. I'm trying very hard not to scream and throw things.

I've also got to go to a chav wedding tomorrow. Apparently there is a family tradition of fights at weddings. One member of the family was sleeping with a 40 year old man when she was 12 (!!!), another stabbed a teacher in the neck when he was 11 (!!!). DP's alcoholic/abusive/parkinsons ridden dad may be there. And his alcoholic/psychotic/shit stirring sister. I can't wait Could someone kill me now, it'd be a great excuse for not going.

No AF yet, but then that doesn't tend to mean much, it's only day 28.

Bloody hell Kaloki, what a nightmare. The cramps AND the chav wedding. Sounds like a Shamelss wedding. If I were you, I'd sit back and make observations in an interested fashion (though probably not go so far as to have notebook). We attended a similar christening the other week. I wanted to shout - "Why are you doing this? You don't believe in God and you're not married!" Didn't though - strangely. Good luck, flower.

Kaloki · 26/03/2010 16:34

Ooh, forgot to add. New neighbours moved in today, first we knew of it was when the banged on the wall hard enough to knock one of our bathrooms mirrors down (huge mirror) The whole floor was covered in shards of glass. And Dp had only just finished painting our coffee table and had left it in the bathroom to dry. All the paint is scratched and chipped grrr

OP posts:
MrsWajs · 26/03/2010 17:37

OH MY GOD!!!

DP has broken both his wrists!!!!!

How much more is gonna go wrong this month!?

Still no AF....

Kaloki · 26/03/2010 17:41

Dear god! What happened??

OP posts:
Kaloki · 26/03/2010 17:42

Sounds like we need it

OP posts:
MrsWajs · 26/03/2010 17:49

He tripped on a kerb!!! How ridiculous does that sound - he tripped over, put his hands out to stop himself and bloody breaks both of them!!

I'm pretty sure he has osteoporosis, these are the 3rd and 4th breaks in as many months!!!
2 ribs just after christmas and his thumb a month ago!

Aaaah thats better!!

Your 'chav wedding' sounds very interesting, my suggestion would be to finish this bottle with me now and just keep drinking!! Will make it more bearable!!x

Kaloki · 26/03/2010 17:50

Sounds like a plan, couple more bottles do you think?

Ariesgirl · 26/03/2010 17:54

Christ, MrsW! What appalling bad luck. Get stuck into that wine. What does your man do for a crust?

MrsWajs · 26/03/2010 18:00

kaloki we might as well get a case!!

aries He's a painter & decorator!! Hello to statutory sick pay for the next 6 weeks

Aaaargh!! I feel the need to shout lots of words beginning with f and b!!

WhiteRoses · 26/03/2010 18:01

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post, cause although I read through just about every day, I never seem to have the time to say much any more! (Wouldn't blame you for thinking that's a good thing! )

First off, Aly - great that your appointment went so well.

Calyx - I don't know if this is helpful or not, but just think about your niece. Wasn't she well worth the long wait that your sister had? Your own baby will even better and even more worth it! I'm trying to be nice, not wind you up even more, so I'll shut up now, apart from saying that I'm really sorry you're feeling so down. [hug]

Kkas - a [hug] for you too. For what it's worth, I think you're doing the right thing, trying not to stress about it all. I also think it's so lovely the way that you worry about DH, putting him before what you want, and how he seems to do the same with you. Your baby is going to be a really very lucky little one, whenever he/she arrives, with parents who love each other so much. x

Paper and Evil - just to say, I know it's really horrible having such long and irregular cycles, but try not to worry if you can help it. My cycles were anything between 19 and 49 days (after a year off the pill!) and I conceived fine in the end. I would say getting things checked out will do no harm, but try and not stress too much. xx

Kaloki - sorry to hear about everything. You deserve a [hug] too. (And if you survive tomorrow, a medal too!) Good luck! x

Sorry to everyone else that I've not written to. Will catch up soon.

maamalady · 26/03/2010 18:02

Ooo, MrsWajs, that sounds nasty! Hope he mends soon, poor thing.

WhiteRoses · 26/03/2010 18:03

MrsW - cross post there - I don't even know what to say other than enjoy the wine! x

MrsWajs · 26/03/2010 18:07

Haha thanks WhiteRoses in RL I am currently downing copious amounts of lucozade since I finished work at 7.30 this morning and then spent the following 4 hours holed up in an a&e dept!! Feeling pretty sorry for myself too and I'm not even injured!

Gutted too as we were meant to be having a nice meal and a few drinks tonight but now we're both too knackered/sore to do anything!

kkas · 26/03/2010 18:16

sounds like a nightmore mrswajs have some more lucozade/wine cocktails on me! (actually that sounds like a pretty disgusting combination! better stick to the wine )

kkas · 26/03/2010 18:18

whiteroses thank you for the kind words. i hadn't really thought of it that way and it actually almost brought tears to my eyes. hope you're feeling better after all the MS!

WhiteRoses · 26/03/2010 18:31

Kkas - I meant it - seriously. x

WhiteRoses · 26/03/2010 18:34

Oh, and today was a pretty bad day, but I just had three good ones in a row (by "good", I mean just queasy, as opposed to physically being sick). That's the longest I've had in weeks! Fingers crossed for a lot more just like it!

MrsW - you need to get that Lucozade swapped for something alcoholic! Lol!

papertiger · 26/03/2010 19:25

mrswajs sorry to hear about other half's mishap! You will need a lot of patience over the coming few weeks as he will struggle to do anything at all for himself if both wrists in pots! My other half had a shoulder op and that was bad enough with just one arm out of action!

Update, went to the doctors and it was pretty much as I suspected, she told me to come back if no change in 6 months and said the irregualr cycles are most likely due to the fact I was on the pill for 14 years almost non stop. Also try to reduce my stress etc etc.. I asked if I could do a chlamydia test as no symptoms but never had one done and thought might be helpful to get it done just in case. She gave me a kit to send off in the post but when I got home it said in big letters not to do it if you are over 25!! So thats no use to me whatsoever... oh well!

CaveMum · 26/03/2010 19:47

mrswajs sorry to hear about your other halfs mishap. Men are never good patients - man flu anyone?!

aly323 · 26/03/2010 19:59

Mrs Wajs, I'm so sorry to hear about your DH's wrists. You really are having a "when it rains, it pours" month! You and Kaloki will definitely have to go in on a case (sorry about you mirror and table Kaloki). I'll chip in a little, too if you can spare a bottle. Girls and puppy are gone, but af has arrived. Well, she will shortly. I have spotting and my temp has started to drop. I knew it wasn't my month, but I was still hoping.

Dinkytinky · 26/03/2010 19:59

Oh my god mrswajs!!!!you poor things! that is this most unlucky thing i've heard all year lots of hugs and a case of wine your way! Ooh maybe re:baby making you could still go on top! That would be a great story to embarrass any future offspring with lol! Sorry if that's reaaaally insensitive!
Hello everyone else! I'm on my iPhone so i can only read a few posts at a time but a few of you are discussing absent AFs-
I came off the pill after 7 years non stop and my first month off I had THREE periods a couple of says apart in one month and doctor just shrugged!
If my dreams come true and ido have a baby I'm SERIOUSLY unsure of going back on the pill afterwards, anyone else feel this way?
cavemum lol at manflu! It's so true- it's even worse when they refuse painkillers/paracetamol!!! My FiL has terrible back pain that make him an unbareably grumpy sod but will not take painkillers! I don't get it?

Dinkytinky · 26/03/2010 20:23

Oh yeahAries I think a while ago you posted a list of all the old wives tales re:ttc? Would you mind sticking it on again? I can't seem to find it in the thread? My dp is away 2 and half days of my fertile days (begin in 3 days time) so I think I'm going to go full force crazy baby lady! Poor man doesn't know what's coming lol! Lots of love everyone xxx
