Ok fellow ditherers, as we have filled up one thread (and still not made too many firm decisions) here's another one for us to continue to procrastinate and worry on.

Here's to more monitoring of relative green and redness, mutual support and occassional chivving, discussion of everything baby or not baby related, and perhaps even our first BFP...?

Now listening to this

Maybe bed is a good move...

SeaGreen · 01/05/2010 12:37

Yikes didn?t log in for a few days and we are BUSY BUSY BUSY!!!
Confused - ooo! re the text!!! that song is lovely! Can imagine sand filled sock though.
re the break in (so scary!!)-We used to keep a hammer next to the bed. But what the hell, these silly laws about excessive force by a person whose house is being broken into are really scary. My two cents on that are- if they?re breaking in, they deserve whatever they get! Glad they didn?t manage to break in and that you guys are safe.
YTD - yay for the egg collection!!! When will you know about the fertilisation? (no pressure there if you don?t want to think or talk about it right now!)

confuseddoiordonti · 01/05/2010 16:43

Bleurgh.
Not surprisingly, I have felt a bit delicate all day. Went out with a friend on a long dog walk and that helped a lot, and now going to have a nice relaxing evening being civilised (well, prob MNing if anyone is around) and eating nice food. No pints of beer allowed!

No idea what to make of that text. Very much doubt it is anything related to me, but confused (!) as to what it does mean. If anything. That's one of the problems with being a girl, we tend to overanalyse EVERYTHING don't you think?

Slept badly last night but not just due to the burglar situation, more to do with the fact I had drunk too much so had that horrid waking up in the night thing.

Anyway, far more importantly and excitingly, LST, I think I can speak for all of us when I say we're all on tenterhooks and keeping everything we can crossed. Knotted even!

And, while I remember, HP SP, is your DH still a vivid shade of green...?

SeaGreen · 01/05/2010 17:12

yikes sorry- i meant LST !!!

confuseddoiordonti · 01/05/2010 17:18

We guessed that!

confuseddoiordonti · 01/05/2010 17:29

Was slightly worried about the facebook linke which has appeared but, after reading the rants that are going on about it (and the posts from people who know what they're talking about) I think it's okay.

Would be horrified if this thread emerged into RL.

Shudder!

LeviStubbsTears · 01/05/2010 17:34

OK, I am very soon going to a) stop talking about YKW and b) start engaging normally with life and everyone else's lives. I know I'm an IVF stuck record at the moment. But until then... 5 out of 6 eggs are showing signs of fertilization!! This is still very few indeed in the grand scheme of things (have stopped reading websites as there is always someone talking about their 17, 20, 28 fertilized eggs...) but at least what's there are looking ok so far! They are still considering me for blastocyst (though 5 is the lower limit) so that's good, possibly (though feels quite high risk). Otherwise it's going to be embryo transfer tomorrow - aargh. It could still go to pot overnight, of course, so have to be a bit careful but just getting through every stage is good at the moment. Anyway, enough!

Hope you're doing ok, confused! Have been doing ok at not craving alcohol (for me...) but enjoyed your drunkenness by proxy! Am a tiny bit annoyed (though obviously should be above such things, and enjoying keeping my body a temple for possible housing of new life, etc. etc) as I was going to allow myself a glass of wine or even two tonight if the transfer was going to be Weds, but now as there's the possibility it's tomorrow (and won't know until tomorrow morning!), I can't really - have only just got over the drugs from yesterday and all the surveys so don't drink at this point. Sigh.

Anyway, back with more excruciating detail soon! Waves to Seagreen, hp, YTD, Amanda and everyone else who's around.

Suerock · 01/05/2010 18:07

LST - you are no way a stuck record and no way boring about YKW, and I think we are all nearly as excited and nervous as you! It's so cool to think that one of those eggs (or maybe more than one? How many will they transfer?) could be the start of a new life. Oh yeah, science is so awesome!

confused - hope you are feeling a little less delicate! That JL advert struck a cord with a lot of people and almost made me well up when I saw it first. Don't know what it was about it. I can recommend a bicycle D-lock under the mattress as a reassurance against intruders, by the way (not that I actually used it - but it was nice to know it was there).

Happy bank holidays everyone! Amazingly it hasn't rained yet...

HoneyPetal · 01/05/2010 18:35

Evening all!

You, know, last night nearly blew my MN cover - DH was wondering why I literally roared with laughter! Bloody brillient, drunken typing. I think 'GOOD LUKC' should be our thread motto, for use when much luck is required. Eg. Fingers crossed for tomorrow, LST, GOOD LUKC!!

(and under no account should you think you have to not talktype about all this, LST, we are all egging you on (geddit?) the whole way).

Does anyone remember the exact date of YTDs scan? Was it this week? It's hard to scroll back on the iPod. I hope everything is ok.

My DH has reached a kind of zen acceptance. He isn't 'green' in the traditional definition, but has acheived maybe the male green. I finally believe him when he says he would be utterly fine if miniHPSP made an appearance. That's not to say he is pushing for it, far from it, but he's being really lovely. I'm still totally undecided, of course!!!

confuseddoiordonti · 01/05/2010 18:48

Evening all,
I have been trying to post from my laptop for fourty fucking minutes but the bloody thing was so slow I didn't manage to even get into MN. Am now shutting it down properly and hoping it perks up - REALLY hope there's nothing wrong with it as don't like MNing from DH's computer upstairs.

LST that's top news! I realise it's all baby steps (oh yes, HP, it's not just you who can make naff inuendo's!) but it seems to be looking good so far. Also, as everyone else said, it's not boring - not BY ANY STRETCH! Okay? I am nervous on your behalf too - think of us all, scattered around the country, nervously thinking about your possible blastocysting (or something ) And, for tomorrow, GOOD LUKC!

Glad it's not just me re the JL ad. S always gets big shopping from there (by big I mean things like washing machines) as, as he has told me many times, it's a cooperative and the staff actually know what they are on about. Hence, the ad reminded me of him although it may have struck a big chord regardless. Weird, as never one for ad's normally. As for the text, fuck knows! Maybe he thought he was texting someone else...

I think YTD's scan was on Thursday but, I think, she has posted since and not mentioned it, which I would have thought she would. YTD are you there...?

And, talking of the pregnant posse, how's LQ doing...?

HP SP it sounds like your DH has gone from one extreme to another, in a male kind of way (well, how they can be about these things.) Great to hear he has now stopped tutting about childcare and it's no longer a taboo subject (children, not childcare) - shame you're as bad as me at the decision making!

Me and DH were talking about it, the do we or don't we business, last night in the pub but I'll tell you about it later on as back downstairs to see if my laptop has stopped doing what it was doing (that it told me not to turn it off until it had finished) and is now playing ball.

Back shortly...

SeaGreen · 01/05/2010 19:14

what facebook link??

SeaGreen · 01/05/2010 19:16

LST wow!!!
fingers crossed!!! SUPER news.
had to go buy pressies for some babies and had a few happy hours wandering in baby sections. and all above board and publicly!!

confuseddoiordonti · 01/05/2010 19:16

The one at the top of each post - with the twitter one. I was in a flap about it and then read some of the other rants about it and it's okay. Basically it stops you cutting and pasting if you want to add a link to one of the threads on here. It doesn't link anything to your profile.

Phew!

confuseddoiordonti · 01/05/2010 19:18

SeaGreen fab news that you could openly baby shop for once!

Have succumbed to a glass of wine (ooops) and may have a bit of a sneaky browse myself later on... As well as looking at dog stuff of course!

SeaGreen · 01/05/2010 23:13

oh jeez just saw that! thank GOD. i could never have lived that down on facebook!!!

SeaGreen · 01/05/2010 23:14

confused do paste dog stuff if interesting!

heard about two abuse incidents recently that made my blood boil.

LeviStubbsTears · 02/05/2010 12:12

5 pre-embryos still alive! So they're going to risk taking them to blastocyst. Embryo transfer probably Weds (all being well). xx

confuseddoiordonti · 02/05/2010 15:43

Bloody brilliant news! Delighted to hear it, LST!

SeaGreen, went to bed at the pathetically early time of 9.30 last night so didn't see your posts from last night till now. Bit busy at the moment (actually only logged on to see if there was any news from LST) but will be on-line most of this evening so will post any interesting dog stuff if I can remember or locate it.

Re the abuse cases, please don't tell me any more as I find stuff like that too much and can't get it out my head for days. Thanks!

HoneyPetal · 02/05/2010 16:37

LST, thats really great news! Keep growing, little double yolkers!

Well. Im back doing my report, hopefully for the final time.

HoneyPetal · 02/05/2010 16:54

Also, I have been stalking checking up on YST. She posted on Thursday 22nd that the scan was the next Thursday, but then didnt mention it in her post on here on Thursday night, And I checked out the 'First Time Frolickers Grads' thread, and they are starting to wonder where she is as well. I hope everything is ok.

Just FYI, I dont usually stalk people around MN! You are all free to come as go as the mood takes you without me donning my night-vision googles and black stake-out outfit. Just a leetle bit concerned that YTD is ok.

HoneyPetal · 02/05/2010 16:54

Shit. Not YST, clearly. Im an idiot.

confuseddoiordonti · 02/05/2010 17:29

I am a bit curious too, if not bordering on worry. That's the problem with this regular posting business, when someone doesn't it seems cause for concern.

YTD, just wanted to say that I hope you're okay one way or another. x

HoneyPetal · 02/05/2010 19:41

This report is taking three times longer than it should

confuseddoiordonti · 02/05/2010 19:49

Boring things always do. They'd be less boring if they were interesting.

HoneyPetal · 02/05/2010 19:58

Very true. My attention span is approx 0.87 milliseconds at the moment as well.

Ooo, a butterfly
